You could always consult the Dwarves, they are afterall famed weaponsmiths, it's not inconceivable that they'd already have weapons shaped like animals, or even make you one.

So, when someone is paralyzed, they freeze inside of a little cage, right?
So what if we do that inside of a glyph of repulsion?
Would they bounce around that little cage until they turn to mush and the paralyze wears off?
Or would they stand still and have their body pounded by a godawful force and when the paralyze wears off they just fall to pieces cause the force kindof smashed all their organs?

I hope people know magic is allot more flexible then shown in the games. (and allot more dangerous- the user especially)

Yeah, in all honesty they'd probably freeze, fall over to the ground unmoving, then get tossed a couple yards away by the repulsion glyph.

So kind of like in Skyrim, where the body just freeze in place for anyone to screw around with. Ladies.

Well I stand corrected, not impossible to shape a blade into an animals shape, as long as it's not a sword anyway.

Maybe I'll get one with eagle winged blades if I lose my hammer.

Also seems Denerim is the place to go, predictable guess.

If you join the Wardens, you could use the Griffin Beak.

You know, there are a lot of images of birds with axe-like beaks, but none of using said bird as axe-like weapons, or at least taking their beaks for such purposes. Pity. Maybe Monster Hunter would have what I'm looking for.

How is it I have never seen this? :K

Still not sure how I'd get my hands on it, odd that a Dalish keeper has it.

Yeah, I thought it was pretty weird too. I don't even like Zathrian so either I have him break the curse just to get the "Good" end, or join the Werewolves because Werewolves maaan. The only one time I sided with him to kill Witherfang was when I was specifically creating a Very Warden Warrior.

I'm pretty sure the Grey Warden Compound would have a few replicas or something in their armory. Can't promise that, but it's a possibility.

The Warden cache you find in Denerim, is considered the last of the Grey Warden's inventory after Loghain closed the Compound in the palace. It would make sense for a group of accomplished warriors such as the Grey Wardens to have an armoury of their own, in said compound. I do believe that Bioware intended (but didn't really implement) to have the Grey Wardens have a standardised armour, like they do in Dragon Age 2, which of course would need to go somewhere when not being worn, ect.

That's fine with me. If one other person posts, I think I'll continue with Myrn and show what she plans to do in the Alienage. Hint: Some mercenary work. Also to get herself a proper staff; swords great, but it doesn't augment her magic powers in any way and is simply serves as a focus. Her staff would be made from part of the Vhenadahl. Hopefully this will also allow Myrn to be able to attract the Grey Warden's attention.

That'd be pretty interesting, though I am not sure if the City Elves would be willing to make a staff out of the Vhenadahl. Hmm, I need to think a bit on how to have my character draw the attention of the warden's as well.

Well, from what I've read from the wiki, elves usually keep the vhenadahl simply because at some point it was important in their culture. Now why it's important is lost to the time, so for the most part they just keep it around for as long as it is practical. Weapons can be made from the vhenadahl however, as some weapons in Awakening are. Besides that it's not that they're just going to cut off a branch for Myrn, they're going to give her one made by an Elf a while back, after she does some quests for them.

Ahh, ok that explains it better I thought it was going to be like "Can you cut a branch from the Vhenadahl and make me a staff?" Kind of thing, guess I should have thought it better. And you are probably right on the culture thing, admittedly my elf lore is a bit rusty.

Truth be told, there isn't much about Elf Lore, and if we must continue to speak of it, I don't particularly care much for Elves. I have a certain love/hate relationship with them. I'm an Orc guy myself, and I embrace both the savagery of old orcs and the glory of the new orcs. When dealing with Elves, I often think of them as either mentally deficient for not making any substantial progress with their civilization despite being ageless immortals who are often rather peaceful (Apparently it takes you a hundred years to be as good of a warrior as a human, who does it in about ten if he starts as a child) or bleeding hearts who care more about persevering some sort of balance in the world instead of control over it. Oh sure, save the forest, let's keep the giant monsters inside of it. Granted as an orc I'd love nothing more than to kill giant monsters, but I won't shed a tear if I happen to hunt them to extinction. Still, aside from elves being physically appealing to me, I find that elves who have at least grown with a "Human" mindset would be somewhat more tolerable. I don't mind people having dreams and ambitions even if it involves subjecting the masses to your demands. Not only does it tell me you're a proactive person, but now I have something to fight against/for, and that's always fun. Gives context to why I'm killing you/your enemies.

That's why I have this weird obsession with the Altmer from Skyrim. I'd never play a High Elf and I hate the Dominion, but at the same time, they supply me with a infinite amount of people to kill who represent some larger authoritative regime than just a group of brigands. It certainly makes me feel more important that I'm killing them in droves since I'm actively fighting against a substantial force instead of say, just a well organized band of disgruntled vagabonds. In the words of the Orks, they are my Favorite Enemy.

Hmm, I see. You make a few points that are quite interesting, but if we are gonna keep talking about this we better do it via a convo so as to no to clutter the thread too much, but with my context about Elven lore I meant that I hadn't read about it in quite a bit and certainly not that you were an Elven fan. Hope I didn't bother you and thanks for the chat.

No problem. Back to the topic of Dragon Age plans, I don't expect Myrn to get the staff after one quest. It's more like she does the Alienage a few public services that tests her skills and than she gets her staff. Here's a list of things I had planned for Myrn to try.

Find a lost child - An elvish child has been gone for two days. The mother and father had an argument about how her father could get into trouble stealing supplies for them from a ship (He works as a package handler at the docks). This will test Myrn's ability to gather information, from talking to people, tracking/finding evidence, and will lastly end with Myrn having to convince the child to come back home. She could always force her, but than she won't get a reward (The parent's being poor elves have nothing to give, but the girl did find a magic amulet while she ran away).

Deal with some human thugs - Some homeless humans have come to harass and sometimes hold up elves for what little belongings they have. While so far hasn't gotten any worse than a few shake downs, many of the elves fear what would happen if the thugs get more ballsy. Killing them would be the simplest option (Rewards some silver coins and their iron daggers) but if Myrn can somehow convince the thugs to stop bothering the elves peacefully they will reveal where they've been stashing their ill-gotten gold. It can be given to the elves for no reason but maybe good feels or kept because it's 10 sovereigns. The location will not be revealed if the thugs are killed however.

Retrieve stolen heirloom - Some thieves have burglarized an alchemist's home and stole his family's sword. The thieves can't be reasoned with and there will be a fight (There are five of them). Including some low-level loot (Five Grey Iron Daggers, an Iron Dwarven War Axe, two Elm Crossbows, an Iron Buckler, assorted rough leather armor), the heirloom is a magical Grey Iron Dar'Misaan that imbues the wielder with energy (Meaning that it gives you a Stamina/Magic regeneration). Myrn can either keep it or give back to the owner, who will give Myrn some assorted potions and salves.

Deal with the Blood Mage - A family of elves took in a runaway elfish mage from the Circle recently. When the next day came, the entire family was killed in a bloody ritual. The community are in fear of the blood mage (Who's an elf no less) and want someone to take care of it. They don't care if Templars come in, though one person in particular is another runaway mage who doesn't want the Templars to find him, and will hire Myrn to take out the Blood Mage. We will have to fight the Mage, some demons he summons, and anyone else he controls with his magic. He has a decent level staff (Grey Iron Magic Staff) and a the Blood Ring. Giving the Blood Ring to the mage (As proof that the blood mage is dead) and he will gift Myrn with a Tome of Arcane Technique.

I'm afraid that since this is mainly Myrn's personal quest, there won't be equal reward for everyone else. Granted, you can take whatever Myrn's reward is from her if you so desire, though she may take offense depend on how you go about it. Regardless of what rewards she gets, so long as she completes three of them she can do one more quest to get the Vhenadahl Heart Staff.

A Mother's Memory - A while ago a strong elvish woman by the name of Adaia was killed by a gang of humans. She fought back as well as she could, but ultimately was slain and her dagger taken. Her late husband, Cyrion, knowing that even the deaths of the human will not bring back his wife, still wishes for her dagger to be returned to it's rightful owners. And so Myrn and anyone who's willing to accompany her will have to go on a mildly long quest to find out more about the mother's killers and eventually track them back to their home (It's a noble's house). From there how we get back the dagger is really up to whoever is involved. We could sneak in, fight everyone, or using a cunning tongue. Or just buy it, but it's out of Myrn's budget (She wouldn't be allowed to buy it anyways). We can keep the dagger or return it to Cyrion. In doing so, word of Myrn's actions for the Alienage will reward her with the Vhenadahl Heart Staff.

Just to link it to the cannon, the suppose end of this quest is that Myrn returns the dagger to Cyrion. Additionally, all these quests require Myrn to be in the party. I imagine that sometime between or after getting Fang back to Cyrion, the Grey Wardens might have heard of the Dalish Elf in the Alienage, which hopefully will allow Myrn a chance to join them in earnest.
