Character name - Krystina Markov
Nickname - Krys, callsign “Wolf Zero”
Position - Fighter pilot/Starfighter squad leader
Species - Human
Gender - Female
Age - 29
Appearance -
Her left hand is cybernetic, assisting reaction times by fractions of a second. Fractions may be small, but they’re appreciated when they start to mean life or death.
Height - 5’4
Weight - 115 lbs
Apparel - Her flight suit is what’s shown in her appearance picture, though the orange is replaced with a sky blue color.
Out of combat, she wears a white tank top and brown cargo pants, with black boots. And, like every cocky ace pilot, Krystina has a pair of steel aviators. If it’s cold, she’ll throw on a black leather biker jacket.
Weapons - Krystina carries a small machine pistol for personal defense, in case things get hairy, and man is she proud of it.
The Medium Ranged Automatic Machine Pistol, known colloquially as the Miramap, is a fully automatic machine pistol carrying twenty rounds per magazine. Effective up to medium ranged engagements, the Miramap is a trusty sidearm that has pulled Krystina out of countless combat situations.
Krystina also wields a standard-issue combat knife. For when things need to get a little old school.
Equipment - Subdermal communications implant, capable of being tuned via Krystina’s pad on her wrist, the pad on her wrist which serves as a sort of small computer, and an emergency beacon. Just in case.
Skills - Considered one of the most talented fighter pilots of her generation, anyone that has seen Krystina fly likens it to watching an Olympic figure skater. Her talent in the cockpit is unmatched. She also maintains peak physical condition. Trained in hand-to-hand combat, Krystina is both lethal in a fighter and in close quarters.
Weaknesses - She lacks firearms training beyond basic training, and often lets her cockiness get the best of her. Overconfidence is often her downfall, sometimes forcing others to keep her in check just so she stays alive.
Powers - nah
Likes - Flying, physical fitness, people that know what they’re doing, and an ice cold beer with a pack of cigarettes when she has a moment to relax.
Dislikes - Laziness, people that don’t know what they’re doing, and people with a moral compass that does not align with hers. She’s stubborn that way.
Fears - Drowning and facing ultimatums. The only two things that are guaranteed to break her resolve.
Personality - Incredibly confident in every way, Krystina can come off as brash and abrasive at first. However, the longer one gets accustomed to her cockiness, the friendlier and more lighthearted it seems. She cares intensely for her colleagues and more so for her friends, though it’s hard to tell behind how much she seems to care about only herself.
Biography - Born during the Moscow winter, Krystina’s father believed from the very start that she would be made of steel. He was soon proven correct, as Krystina solidified herself as the toughest kid in the neighborhood by age 13. She regularly got into fights with other kids, and she almost always won. She was sent to boarding school in an effort to reel in her misbehavior, but she only continued to be a firecracker until she turned 18.
Through all her fights and misconduct, Krystina dreamed of space. She always wanted to fly, and took every chance she could to watch the ships enter and exit the local spaceport. Nothing pleased her more than the sounds of the engines firing up and the rapid displacement of air as starships shot away.
So, she joined the E.S.C. military. Trained to be a fighter pilot and was best in her class. She got her first starfighter at 24, and was stationed on the S.S. Cairo as the leader of the ship’s fighter squad. She saw most of her action fighting pirates and squashing small rebellions, and her reputation quickly grew as one of the best fighter pilots around. When the Durendal was put into service, Krystina was assigned as the ace fighter pilot and leader of the fighter squadron of the ship.
