"Alright. Let's get started." Zmerr cracked a smile, something he hadn't done in years. It almost hurt. "Here's what I need you to do..." Zmerr listed off several tasks he felt the girl could handle.

Ren's mind fumed at the information Zmerr was giving her. She had not single clue as to what he was saying. To make it seem as though she understood, Ren would nod periodically while Zmerr talked. When he was finished, she slowly picked up one of the parts and fumbled with it until she accidently dropped it, with a gasp. She glanced quickly at Zmerr then back at the part which she quickly tried to pick back up. "Uh...sorry about that," she laughed nervously. "What did you say to do with this again?"

"Actually, I was talking about this here." Zmerr picked up another piece. "The one you had there is an obsolete model. It won't do us much good." He chuckled a little. "You have to attach it to this one, like so-" he picked up another piece and put them together with a few wires. "You don't really know much about machinery do you? It's quite alright if you don't. There are quite a few things that could be done around here. However, if you'll let me teach you how to make and invent such items as these-" he pointed at a pile of obsolete inventions "I would have quite a bit more for you to do. Don't worry about not being able to work for a place to stay. I can find plenty for you to do. Relax." He noticed that Ren was shaking a little. She was nervous. He knew it. He was trying as hard as he could to be warm and friendly, avoiding anything that might make him seem cold or intimidating.

"Thank you," a wide smile spread across Ren's face. She was so relieved that Zmerr was ok with her not knowing much about machinery. "I'm willing to be taught," Ren exclaimed, looking down at the parts of machinery. "I may be a little bad it at in the beginning but I'm ready to learn!"

Zmerr smiled at her again. It was pleasant to have such a lively person in his home. "Alrighty! So, when I connect the two pieces together, they share power with one another. That is why it is crucial to make a big ring of these. I don't think I have enough pre-made ones to finish, but I can make some up pretty quickly." He passed some more parts to Ren. "I'm so glad you're eager to learn. Brilliant minds and strong work ethics are hard to come by these days." He began to teach her how to make the best power sources, what to use, where to find the supplies. Everything. She seemed to be soaking the information up like a sponge. He was excited to see her grasp something that had confused so many before. She would make a fine mechanic. Perhaps even an engineer. He was curious to see what kinds of things she might invent on her own.

Ren stood next to Zmerr, taking in the information he was giving her and attempting her own work once he had shown her what to do. She was surprisingly better at it than she had thought she would be and she appreciated Zmerr's kind and patient attitude. After putting a few pieces together with her hands, she had an idea. Very carefully,she pulled out her vectors and then proceeded to construct something, her vectors moving at the speed of sound. Within a minute, she had created something she didn't even know she could make.in fact, she knew she did not have the knowledge to make something like that. So how did her vectors do it? Ren picked up her creation with her hands and showed it to Zmerr. "What do you think of this?"

Zmerr looked at the invention. He couldn't tell what was more astounding: the fact that she did it without even touching it, or that she'd created something so advanced. "T-that's amazing!" Zmerr reached for it, but stopped before actually touching it. "May I?"

Seatan remembered the day as if it had just happened.

It started off just as it had with the current stranger, except he never fulfilled his promise to return. Seatan went out to find him. He found him around a mile away from his house. He could remember their conversation vividly.
"Where have you been" Seatan asked the stranger, this one called Aleks
"What?" he replied sarcastically, "you actually thought I would come?"
"Of course I did, you killed one of my deer!"
"Heh, well, you win some you lose some, don't ya'?" Aleks laughed, as he began to walk away. And then it happened. Seatan changed. He changed into that side of his that he can never allow to be released again. Not for the good of others. Not for the good of himself.
"Oi!" he shouted, "Get back here""
Aleks turned around, and the blood drained from his face. He stood there, frozen, unable to move due to his sudden fear of the new Seatan.
Then he did it. Seatan grabbed Aleks by his arm, and flung him at a tree. The audible crash created caused all the birds in the surrounding area to fly away. Seatan saw what he had done. He had killed Aleks. His leg. His leg was in one place. And his chest was in another. And so was his arm. The tree was covered in blood. It had happened so fast. Aleks had had no time to scream. Seatan was back to normal now, backing away, unable to comprehend what he had just done. He ran back home, and collapsed onto his bed.

Seatan woke up with a scream. Not loud enough to cause damage to anything near him. But loud enough to wake a couple of his deer. He was covered in sweat. He walked into his bathroom, and splashed some water onto his face. He looked into a mirror and didn't see himself. He saw a monster. The monster that had killed Aleks and... it was best not to think about this. He went back to his room, unable to look at the picture of his father, and unsuccessfully tried to go back to sleep.

"Of course," Ren said softly, handing the creation to Zmerr. She looked at it in amazement and wonder. What was this thing and how did she create it? "What do you think it is?" Ren asked. "I don't even know what happened, my vectors made it all by themselves."

Keela didn’t understand the girl’s accent, but she understood her well enough. ”Nice to meet you too, Runa,” Keela said softly, glad the girl seemed to be alright. Keela glanced back to Blake, still thinking it odd that a man with the power of a panther would need weapons, but understanding it must make him feel safer. ”Yes, the humans destroyed my home so… I had to come here,” Keela said quietly, no anger in her voice either, but some tone that said she didn’t understand the humans’ actions. ”By the way, there was a siren that went off in that direction when Runa fell in the water,” Keela said, suddenly remembering the noise. ”Perhaps we should check it out. In case there are others here,” she shrugged, hands holding on to the strap of her bag.

Zmerr flicked it on and it came to life, levitating and glowing blue. "You must have been an Asura in a past life or something. Not that I believe in past lives." Zmerr watched as the machine began scanning the room with a thin, wide stream of light. It stopped scanning and then blinked its light s a few times before repeating the process. "You've made a highly advanced scanner. We had things like this back home, but they never really succeeded. they always found something wrong even when there wasn't any threat. They'd set off an alarm and, a lot of times, overheated and blew up. This one seems to work quite well." He picked it up out of the air and shut it off. "This is quite this discovery, Ren. Not even the greatest Asura geniuses could figure this one out." He gave her a grin and handed the machine back to her.

"Wow," Ren gasped under her breath. She was amazed at what, not her but, her vectors had made. As proud as Zmerr was of her, she couldn't possibly take ownership for the creation. "B-but I didn't make it. My vectors did," she said softly.

Blake felt a little resistant to the idea of checking out the noise as it could just as well be humans but on the other hand, they might not know that Blake, Keela an Runa are even here so it might be the element of surprise...
suddenly it hit him, Runa, she fell of the waterfall, meaning she was running for or from something, she was nude, meaning something must have happened to her clothes.
could this sound be connected, was it humans or something else that was hunting or looking for her??

Blake turned to the young girl and looked her in her eyes, it seemed to frighten her a little but she remained calm at this moment.
"Runa, sorry to ask, but are you human and why were you running that you fell from the fall, are you being hunted or followed or anything?"

Runa looked Blake in his eyes, noticing how he had 2 different colors, it was becoming clear that he was not a human either, she could actually be herself...
"iie" she said softly as she shook her head slightly "The reason that I was running was because I heard the running water and hoped to find some water that I could drink, I guess exhaustion and thirst clouded my judgement"

"So no one is here for you, that sound was not connected to you?"

Again she shook her head "iie, It is true that I was running for the chipped humans by jumping from a boat after they found out that I am not a human like them, but I moved quickly enough to prevent them from following me, after that I ended up floating on the ocean for I think hours before I found this island, all that time I have not seen or heard from any ships or chipped humans, I do not believe that the sound Keela-sama heard has to do with me"

Blake relaxed after hearing that much "good, then were safe, meaning that if that sound came from humans, then we have the advantage, they dont know we are here, making it safe to attack them if they are humans, if they are like us, then we just need to thread carefully, see if they are as nice as you two"
he could say that he was nice as well, but in a way he felt like they would not believe it, hell he knew people called him nice and he felt like he has been nice to the girls up till now, but somewhere in his heart he felt that it was not fitting of him to be nice, it was the feeling of guilt that made him feel that he did not deserved to be called nice.
Blake ignored the feelings that were inside him as he has been doing for... longer then that he had been in his panther shape at least... and looked at the girls.
"can you girls fight if it appears to be humans out hunting us?"

Runa nodded and then shook her head, she did not know what to do, she never wants to hurt others, not ever, but she had finally found others that were different from the humans, she could trust them, stop pretending to be human and live normally, if it were humans then they were a danger to her possible happiness and worst of all, they were a danger to Blake-sama and Keela-sama, she did not wanted to lose them already, but to fight....

"Perhaps they took something that was already in your brain and you just didn't know it. I highly doubt they have their own memory. You were born with them, yes?" Zmerr asked, hoping she'd realize that this was HER talent and she shouldn't credit it to something that fed off of her ow memories.

Keela observed and listened as Blake questioned Runa and she explained. Keela felt even more sorry for the girl than before, but at least her thirst had to be quenched now. “If Runa was so exhausted she almost drowned, I doubt she would be much of a fighter at the moment. She probably needs rest actually,” Keela said, sounding very mother like as she wanted to lead Runa to her home and have her lay down and sleep. She wouldn’t force it though, after all they had just met. ”I’m afraid I’m not a fighter, Blake,” Keela admitted, feeling bad that if they got in trouble, he would be the only protector more than likely. ”I do have spells, but I use them for healing or good, not as weapons,” she said, looking apologetic. ”I will fight, not with magic, but as best I can physically if you two are in danger though. I’m not one to run from protecting others either,” she said, hoping it reassured him enough.

"Well, yeah," she began. "Every diclonius has them..they can vary in length and number depending on the diclonius." She then looked down at the creation and, with the idea, handed it to Zmerr. "I want you to keep it. For taking me in and teaching me." She smiled widely at him.

When keela-sama said that she needed rest, runa felt relieved as it was the perfect excuse for her to stay away from a fight.
but as keela conti ued, sating that she was more of an healer then a fighter she started to feel bad that Blake-sama was the only able to truly stand up against the humans.
"If you find use for it, I am more a defender my self, I should be able to protect us against most attacks"

Blake nodded as he listend yo the girls explanation of their abilities.
"Well with a healer and defender close by, I should be able to take on most of the humans I think, just listen when I say something so you dont get to close when I attack"
Just then he realized something.
"That is if either of you are even truly willing to fight, dont feel forced because of me and just say it honestly"

Zmerr felt a rush of appreciation. It was an act of deep respect in his culture. Only the highest level mentors received such an honor from their students. "Thank you!" He too smiled. "It's an honor. You have an incredible talent and I'm more than happy to teach you everything I know." He took the scanner to a shelf in the main living space where there were a few personal treasures sat, well kept and dusted. He placed it on the shelf and came to sit at the table again. "There are just a few more finishing touches this thing needs before it's safe enough for usage." He began adding pieces and connecting wires. When the generator was complete, he set it down and reached to the side of the table. he came back up with two pairs of darkened goggles. "Put these on. this will be really bright." He handed a pair to Ren.

Ren nodded and smiled at Zmerr, feeling achieved to see him so pleased with her. She took the goggles from his hands and fascended them in place. She was excited to see what the generator would look like and how it would work.

Zmerr pressed a button and flipped a few switches into the "on" position. The generator lit up, casting a warm blue light on everything in the room. It was beautiful, really. It made a quiet buzzing sound as it converted Orillium into energy. Zmerr smiled at the generator as if it were a fine piece of artwork. It kind of was in a sense. "It's working perfectly. It should last a good long time. Well done, Ren. I think we make a fine team." Zmerr smiled and held out a hand for her to shake.
