Just clarifying about the hut... it is NOT Zmerr's home. Zmer built it to hold foods that need to stay dry. He lives IN the ruins. It's just big enough for the food.

Both normal human eyes but the right was the same neon blue and the left was a bright yellow color

I think it's funny that, in the morning, Zmerr thought he was the only Non-human left and now he's got an accidental "party" at his house. Go figure!
