Yeah, it will. Because reversing the chemicals will reverse the magic too. Remember that fairy magic is absolutely like pony magic. The magic is just there; it's an energy. Reversing the chemicals, but leaving the magic will just leave the energy, to put it simply. It's more complicated than that, but basically, the magic is unnecessary.
