He muttered, "...when I said this was my fault if anything, I meant it Ally, she's after me and none of this would have happened if we hadn't had met." He said quietly, like stated before he would never regret meeting Ally, he just wished it wouldn't have been so undelightfully eventful.

And that was that. They had decided to stay at the beach for awhile, and enjoyed their time there greatly. Their first kiss was 2 months later when Ally woke up one morning, shaken from a nightmare he had had. He sat up with a stare, to find Moe staring at him in worry. He had likely heard his noises of distress and was waiting for him to wake up. Ally then lunged forward, connecting their lips for a solid 15 seconds before pulling away and muttering their first "I love you."
A month after that, they headed out for Juneau, Alaska. They explored the caves and spend more nights than they'd care to admit kissing and sleeping under the Northern Lights. True to his hopes, Ally hadn't had a near death experience (minus falling off that one cliff that one time but there was water under it so eh) since. Of course, not everything lasted forever. They made their way back to the mainland US, and settled in Western Washington once again. After 6 months of traveling, they had returned to where they started. They had been staying in a hotel at Gray's Harbor for 2 weeks now, Ally paying for their expenses with the money Alaina had, surprisingly, left to him. Ally clicked through the channels, groaning in boredom.
"Moeee. Can we go somewhere? The beach maybe?" It was 10 pm, and that was Ally's favourite time of the day for walking on the beach as the fireflies liked to come out. "Pleaaase?"

Moe looked over at Ally, he was sitting on the windowsill, the window open and his legs hanging outside so he could feel the cool night air, it was spring now so Moe really didn't have any winterly jobs he was meant to do, it was peaceful.
Currently, he was reading a book called 'House of Leaves', it was taking him months to finish because of the books confusing nature but he was determined to finish it, mostly because he was trying to ignore the nagging worry that followed him everywhere ever since L's return. But it had been months since they last saw her, so he was trying to not be worried, more for Ally's sake than his.
He was in the middle of trying to read another page (each page took him almost 20 minutes to read and reread it was that confusing) when Ally groaned about being bored and wanting to go to the beach.
He sighed softly and rubbed the back of his neck, "sure why not, I think I need a break from this book before I get so frustrated I throw it away anyway." He said with a small nervous smile, while he had gotten a lot better at displaying emotions, he still had a hard time smiling.
Full on smiling was the hardest, but little smirks and nervous smiles were pretty effortless, it took time he guessed.

Ally fist pumped in excitement, grabbing Moe's hand and pulling him down from the windowsill. "Let's go, then!" He pulled him all the way to the entrance of the hotel, and turned to look at him once they were outside. "Can you fly us to the beach? It's night, nobody would see! Please?"

Moe looked at Ally, "I...I don't know you know how I feel about flying with other people." He said, he was always nervous about it, he knew he wouldn't drop them but still he worried. He began walking down to the beach, it was a 2 minute fly and a 10-20 minute walk, so he could understand why Ally wanted to fly, he just didn't like to.

Ally pouted, running ahead of Moe to reach the beach first and then waiting for him before giving Moe a quick peck on the lips. "I'm gonna go grab some firewood, mi amore. I'll be back in a few minutes." He jogged into the forest, getting half a mile in with an armful of firewood. A voice erupted seemingly all around Ally, startling him and causing him to drop the wood.
"I told him I'd break him. And now, the chance has finally presented itself."
A woman, draped in white emerged from behind an old oak tree. She smiled at him, tilting her head a little and circling his stock still form.
"I can see why he'd take interest in you. You are quite a looker. I'm going to love watching the light fade from those baby blue eyes of yours. I am Lues."
Ally snarled, rage swelling inside of him. L. That's who this must be. "Sadly, you won't be getting that privilege today you whore." She giggled, shaking her head in amusement. "Aren't you just adorable. So strong-willed. It would explain Mortimer's affinity for you, as opposites do attract and he's always been incredibly weak." At this, Ally saw red. Oh hell fucking no. He lunged forward, aiming to tackle the woman but squeaking in surpise when suddenly he was alone, a knife in his back. L was gone in a snap. He looked down, seeing the tip of the knife peek through his chest. At the moment, shock and adrenaline was numbing him and he took advantage of that. He stumbled his way back to the beach, falling on his knees as soon as he hit the sand. Blood soaked his shirt, while his eyes watered and he croaked out quietly. "Moe?" He felt his pulse slowing, and his vision was starting to tint black and fuzzy around the edges.

Moe was pacing up and down the beach when he heard a broken voice saying his name behind him, he turned around just in time to see Ally fall to the ground and then blood pooled around him.
"Ally!" Moe yelled racing forward, tears prickled at his eyes the pain causing more tears to form as if he needed the help crying.
He raced forward and took his pulse, it was barely there so he wanted to turn Ally on his back, but upon seeing the knife he realized it was too late, and then his eyes faded and Ally was gone, and Moe stood there trembling and sobbing and the only thing he could think was "fuck, I should have let him fly with me, I denied him one of his final wishes, fuck." He knew it was stupid, but really he was just trying to cling onto something.

Moe didn't even time to say something in response before Lues was gone, and he was left there, strangled sobs racking his body and he shook and sobbed and then he was standing up, and then he was walking away, and then he was gone.

Months passed, Moe couldn't bring himself to stay in Washington anymore, and he was currently in Russia again, in his home town. He felt like this was the only place he could be safe, his hadn't been here since he had 'died', he was happy to see his old home had been bought by a nice lesbian couple and their son, it made him feel nice to know his house of quiet had been replaced with a loving family.
He was surprised the old place was still standing, it had changed so much, rebuilt and new rooms added, but it still had been his home. The couple when seeing him outside staring had asked him what he was doing, and when he had told them he had lived here long ago they invited him in for tea, which he declined because hot tea wasn't really his thing, but it made him feel hopeful for some odd reason.

Now, he was staying in a hotel in the middle of town, a much better one than he had been staying in, it was above a flower shop and the lady downstairs who ran it gave him a flower every time he left to go for a run in the morning. He would have been happy if it weren't for the depression he had developed ever since Ally's death, and the paranoia he had developed since Lues return, he never slept, he never ate, and he spent most of his time running, because standing still was dangerous.
He was running now, not running away, no, just running around the town, he had made a few friends in this town and even got a job, he knew he would have to leave at some point but for now, he was glad he was where he was.

He was running through town square, heading back to his apartment.

A month passed since that day. Ally had been buried by the beach, as it seemed to be his favourite place and it was only fitting he get to be there eternally. A low humming sounded, and the full moon seemed to shine even brighter than it did during the usual peak of it's cycle. Frost shaped and settled around Ally's burial area. Suddenly, Ally was standing on top of his former grave. He looked down at his clothes, fresh and clean and completely white. Other than that and the fact that his eyes appeared to be an even brighter blue, his appearance hadn't changed. He gaped for a moment, holding out his hands and jumping in surprise when ice shot out of them. He paused, seeming to process the current situation before smiling a little. He started making little pictures out of ice with his hands, giggling the whole time with wonder. He laughed joyfully and launched himself into the sky, turning himself invisible and flying above the rooftops. First he checked their hotel, to find out Moe had checked out a month ago, shortly after Ally died. The new sage frowned at this, trying to call the other's cell and throwing it against the wall in annoyance when he found Moe's number was disconnected. And so began his search. He traveled all over the world for days, following Moe's trail and just missing him every time, no matter how fast he tried to go. One day, he was feeling particularly hopeless and decided to give up for the time being. He stayed in Russia, because it reminded him of Moe and it seemed the most likely place for the other sage to be. He got an ice water from Starbucks, grumbling around blindly as he walked without really paying attention. He cursed as he knocked into a passerby, spilling the water all over the person he was currently accidentally pinning. Ally closed his eyes on impact, and opening them a moment later. He froze, staring into a familiar and also understandably shocked pair of eyes. His voice was barely a whisper. "Looks like we're back where we began, mi amore."

Moe froze, not out of not knowing what to do but purely out of shock.
"A-Ally!?" He said, stumbling backwards, he stared at him in shock and maybe even fear, he would have started crying if he wasn't just so fucking shocked.
"Ally- you were- I was- you-." He said, unable to find any words.

Ally grinned, pulling Moe by the hand off the streets and into an ally where nobody would see them. He twirled his fingers, designing a heart out of ice before letting it dissolve. "Before you ask, no, I have no idea how this happened. All I know is I woke up like this, and the moon was really fucking bright." He shrugged, before a shy smile came onto his face. "But yeah, it's me. I'm back, with a considerably lower body temperature and kickin ice powers."

Moe stared in disbelief for half a second before rushing forward and wrapping his arms around Ally and then starting to sob, "I love you so much." He said, he was shaking and sobbing and he couldn't stop. He didn't care about anything but Ally right now, it had been months, he had thought Ally was dead, and here he was.
He wasn't going to take this lightly at all.

Ally hugged him back, sighing happily and tearing up a little himself. "I love you too, Moe." He pulled away for a moment, to softly press their lips together and broke the kiss a second later by laughing. "You can't get rid of me so easily now, I'm almost as powerful as you. I think I'm like a downgraded version of you, I can't fly forever and when I use my ice powers extensively I feel drained and need a nap. I am immortal though, so that's always good." He kissed Moe again, a bit more passionately this time. "God, I love you." He mumbled against the other's lips.

Moe wrapped his arms around Ally and kissed him back, holding him close before resting his head on Ally's shoulder and whispering "Soyuznik YA dumal, chto poteryal tebya i o, Bozhe , ya sdelal nekotoryye deystvitel'no glupyye der'mo Mne ochen' zhal' , ya tak po tebe skuchala , i ya lyublyu tebya , ya tak sebe tak zhal', chto eto sluchilos' s vami , ya tak tebya lyublyu , pozhaluysta, prostite menya eto vo vsem vinovat , yesli ya ne budu have- ya dolzhen have- yebut," he almost started sobbing again but he stopped himself, and then realizing he was speaking in Russian again he just said, "I would never want to get rid of you ever."

Ally combed his fingers through Moe's hair, humming softly. "It's okay mi amore, I know you wouldn't. I was only teasing." He kissed the top of his head. "Vous êtes ma lune et les étoiles. You are my moon and stars. Please, can we not linger on my death? I'm not dead anymore, and I feel like this is a time to be happy."

Moe nodded then took Ally's hand, leading him away.
"I have an apartment now, I was planning on just staying there for a week but I...I got hatched to the neighborhood and I've been here for a while now." He said quietly.
"How did you find me?" He asked, "I left nearly no traces, I don't know if I should be afraid or impressed."

Ally laughed, shrugging. "Well one, I'm madly in love with you. Two, to be honest I was just blindly chasing any trace of you I could find. Then, I decided to just settle in Russia because it reminds me of you and it's the place I figured you were most likely to be. By the way, I took a course in Russian online and I'd like to let you know that what happened wasn't your fault, it was hers." He spoke the last word vehemently, knowing Moe would know who he was talking about. "I don't blame you at all cher."

Moe sighed, "yes but, if you wouldn't have met me...Or if I wouldn't have been so...Fuck, I just can't help feeling like all this is my fault. Ally, I am so glad that I don't have to worry about losing you to old age, but you'll have to bare the same burdens I have, and it's not going to be easy." He said, voice quivering, "and...you learned Russian? I'm impressed, although I'm assuming it's only basic? Russian is a hard langue to learn."
