The IC/OOC tabs is a very brilliant idea for the forums, but it can use some improvements that can improve RP experience..

- Clickable IC/OOC post counts (Often, you want to go directly to the OOC's first post to get an idea of the RP, eliminating the extra click is a good improvement).
- Give GMs the ability to prevent IC posts in their thread. (Sometimes GMs want certain things to be fully discussed/established before IC begins. As things stand right now, a random troll can take the first post in IC.)
- Expanding on the above idea, giving thread starter the ability to allow/disallow specific users from posting in IC but not OOC. (Perhaps GMs can be granted the ability to add specific users to a 'participants of this RP' list, which allows IC posting).
- Grant users the ability to hide/not load signatures in IC only. (Or perhaps OOC as well. Some people just hate flashy signatures.)
- The topic subscription system can tell apart IC and OOC, and displays such to its users. (So people can tell if the RP actually progresses or someone just made random chatter in the OOC).

I hope I'm not asking for too much.

Thanks for the suggestions.

- I guess to navigate straight to IC vs OOC, I'll include a link to each on the topic list. It is pretty bad UX to always be dumped into the IC tab no matter what.
- The PM system, the Topic system, and the Roleplay system are built on top of the same building blocks. I definitely plan to figure out how to streamline them in a way that makes sense to the user. For example, a Private Convo really is only a Topic where the GM sets the participants ahead of time. This definitely should be something a non-private GM can also do. Right now I've only drawn some lines in the sand.

Agreed on the other points, too.
