Finally done reading up on all the info and stuff. Thanks for the Update on the IC, by the way.

Just a couple more questions.

1. I'm guessing the percentage of humans around the world who developed and/or are developing powers from the Awakening is relatively low? Just to get a feel for the state of the world. You know, are superpowers still kind of a "Whoa, cool!" thing, or are they as common as seeing a hipster with a beanie.

2. Magic is still a big, flexible thing in this RP, which is rad. There's obviously a clear difference between heroes affected by the Awakening and those who practice Magic, but I'm guessing the implication is that the Awakening may have been magical in origin too? Kinda brings out the greatest desires and stuff in those affected, etc. etc. This is just to satisfy personal curiosity.

3. I'm still kinda stuck on what kind of character to make. Is it alright to begin with someone who's newly developing abilities? And do all Superhumans have to be products of the Awakening, i.e., teenager wakes up one day, couple years after the Awakening, and realises he can fly? Or can there be other factors? Maybe the character thinks they've developed powers from the Awakening, but they're actually from another source.

4. Kind of relating to 3, does the character have to be directly involved with the League? I understand it's a sort of Justice-League-themed RP, but I was just wondering if we can also make characters who are kind of just developing, for now. You know, haven't really hopped into the Hero-ing business yet.

1. Worldwide the Superhuman population is in the dozens of millions, millions more including supernaturals. Stateside I'd say there are around 30,000 or more metahumans. The population slowly grows with the children of metahumans and those who develop powers spontaneously. Superhumans have changed every aspect of regular society, and some have adjusted to them while others still reel.

2. The origins of the Awakening are still a mystery but it does tie into magic somehow as it seems to have affected the rates of those who developed magical talents.

3. Yes, new metahumans Awaken every day from any number of things. Unless it's from a supernatural origin, most superpowers come from the Awakening. Scientific empowerment is possible but its much rarer and has been limited to cybernetic, chemical, and biological enhancements that are still very much in their infancy. This is to avoid all the contrived lab accident origins in comics.

What if I wanted him to smack you, you to smack him back, then have it descend into a pathetic, sissy, slap fight? I think I speak for the entire RP when I say that's what we want.

Still haven't posted yet, mainly 'cause I've been busy with school and such. Considering the lengths of posts and all I probably won't be too keen on reading everything to find a good place to jump in, so if you (Mr.Didact) could do me a favor and message me when there's such a time in the RP so I actually can post, that'd be great.

Now would actually be a good time, the Prison team is fighting four heavy-hittings.

Alright, I'll need a list of the four heavy-hitters, their powers, where they're at, and the metas fighting them.

If that's a bit much, then just give me the run down of who's endangering the metas the most.

Sarco, a crocodile man with bulletproof skin, razor teeth, ripping claws, and superstrength. The Growth, a large blob like mass that can absorb organix mass and grow in size and stretch his body. Behemoth, who turns into an eight foot-tall bruiser who gains strength and durability with anger. And Polaris, the most powerful photokinetic in America and former hero. He managed to fight off a dozen heroes including all of the Founders and almost won before being captured.

Sonja, Hot Rod, and Light are all down while the Desert Vampire is fighting Sarco about to be trapped by Growth. Behemoth is rampaging. Polaris is fighting Flashbolt who is getting the worse of it. There's a portal that can evac the four villains. Zenith, Olympia, and reinforcements are inbound. Abaddon could be with them.

I must say, I think its really good that some of us don't mind having our characters get knocked unconscious and defeated, it shows that we can't always win a fight. Also I still would love seeing an extremely powerful douchebag villain.

seriously, I have already thought up a scene where he uses energy beams to burn a picture into the side of a mountain which shows him beating the crap out of the hero he is fighting and then telling them that he will bury them under it lol!.

If the fight goes on long enough, Light'll prob recover and put polarus in a full nelson or something. after all, she wont care if theres a giant hole in her chest, but polarus? yeah....
