@Max: Vordak can post cut the roots, as they're a new action initiated in your latest post. If he can attack before they reach him, it doesn't speed up your last post, it cuts it off. If they were intended to be used when he was getting feeling back, they still won't be used until then.

Ah, true. Though in regards to your current post, I'm not sure how stepping forward with your right foot would turn your hips clockwise. The natural tendency when doing that would be to turn them counter-clockwise, especially if you're stepping across your left foot.

what i meant was that had vordak not skipped over the effects of the net then the roots would have hit in the second post when the effects would be wearing off. giving him that one post to try dodging it. thinking about it i find what you said hard to dispute, due to the implied short length of time that his post takes up. but since the actions that control the roots are mental rather than physical it's possible that he could have activated and either dodged or blocked the attack out of reflex, after all he grew up as a hunter/warrior so concentrating like that while fighting would be second nature to him as he needs to do so to gather his natural energy.

and vordak even though the first two quotes were from earlier they are more than valid to prove the point i needed them to. in the previous posts i mentioned you used mainly if not only the strength and momentum of your fighters arms and sword for the heavy attack that you stated was to much for him to stop. in the newer post you have your entire body's momentum (which to pull off the move you're saying he did would have accelerated from nothing to at least 20meters a second) ((something i'm honestly finding hard to believe he could do even with that strength)) plus the strength and weight of his arms and sword. with the added momentum of the leap that sword should be in the ground due to the limitations you stated your character had.

This means the turret is between them, not behind Arty. I was very specific about where that bush was located in relation to the two of them.

but the bush is on the treeline so unless he is walking inbetween trees?

I did mention his sword cutting through stuff as he walked, and there's nothing beneath the big main tree for it to cut (apart from the tree itself).

Though why would walking between trees be an obstacle anyway? He can still sense Alexander even when he can't see him, so line of sight isn't an issue.

He wouldn't have to. It was never specified that Alex was shooting through anything so the most logical course of action takes precedence (and throwing it in now after it's been brought up in the OOC would be PGing), and the fact that he could target the left shoulder specifically implies that he could see Arty when he opened fire, since the sheer amount of electrical power and heat being emanated from the sword would dwarf anything from Arty himself right now and screw up scanners. Thermal would only pick up the heat from the sword (since it's so much hotter than Arty's body), and EM would only pick up the sword as well (for the same reason).

Scratch the bit about thermal and EM, I just reread the bio and Alex doesn't seem to have either. Just normal visible spectrum vision. Which only further reinforces the point that he wasn't shooting through trees (as he wouldn't retain the ability to aim so specifically).
