As soon as his hands went to his head, David began walking his knees forward into Dylan's armpits, keeping the arms from coming back down. When he bucked, David was thrown forward, though still sitting on the other man's stomach, and he splayed his arms wide to stop himself from slamming his own head straight into Dylan's. When his hips dropped back down, David followed and planted his heels on the tops of his opponent's hips, while still keeping his knees pressed into the other man's armpits.

From here, he would take hold of Dylan's left wrist with both of his own hands and pull it to his chest, then slide his right foot behind the other man's neck as he leaned out over Dylan's left side and onto his back, keeping the arm on his chest and the thumb turned up the entire time. Once in this position, he would push with his right foot and pull with his left, applying pressure to the left side of Dylan's neck and the right side of his ribcage (just beneath the armpit) in order to lock him in place as he lifted his hips and applied pressure to the arm. A good old-fashioned arm-bar.

when the other man rolled into the armbar Dylan threw his right hand over and caught his left not letting the elbow lock. Then he rolled into the other mans guard and proceeded to lift him with his hips and pull him face level with both arms. Then he would let his legs go limp and drop the other man onto his back. If he let go Dylan would stand again and get into a stance if not he would continue to pick him up and drop him.

Fortunately for David, the width he'd planted his hands at prevented the arm capture and subsequent roll (though having his knees in his armpits would have helped as well), and he simply planted his heels on the other man's hips and waited for Dylan to stop trying to capture the arm before leaning back and continuing with his original train of actions leading to the arm-bar.

Allowing the other man to take his arm Dylan used his right arm to grab David's left leg and threw it over i ahead putting himsel in the other mans gaurd where he began Thai. Punches at his head with an occasional rib shot.

With his heel in Dylan's armpit, all David had to do to prevent the throwing of the leg was keep squeezing, thanks to the extremely poor leverage Dylan's right arm would have, as well as the currently oiled nature of the skin. Lifting his hips further, he applied even more pressure to the left arm, bringing it nearly to the breaking point before his opponent could make another attempt at escape.

David released his opponent and rose back to his feet in one swift motion, though didn't yet take his stance again. "You want to keep going or call it a day?"

Standing Dylan exhaled and walked to the wall removed a brilliant katana. The wrappings were white as snow and the blade gleamed like a star on the sea. Spinning the katana so the blade was behind him and both hands were beside his right hip gripping the handle. His feet were set in a back stance. "A true warrior never accepts the taste of defeat."

Ah, the katana. A beautiful weapon, for sure, but also a predictable one. Thus far the other fighter had displayed little aptitude for anything outside of martial prowess with an eastern basis, and it seemed that would still hold true. Moving to a weapon rack on the opposite side, David selected a tomahawk, then returned to his place in the center, holding it in his right hand. "Is this to become a death match then? Or can you be trusted to hold your blows?"

"There is no need for two warriors to kill one another in a friendly match. I am known as the ronin of white lotus"

"And I am known as David." He'd never really understood why people needed fancy titles to make themselves known. After all, actions speak louder than words, and David had been around for far too long and accomplished too many things to bother with clever monikers. No, he'd already had more names than he could count, and the list would only keep getting longer from here. "Among other things." Switching the tomahawk to his left hand, he advanced slowly on his opponent, right arm pulled up to guard and left holding the tomahawk in front. His left foot lead, and he never crossed his stance as he moved, keeping his base wide and stable. "So then, ronin of white lotus, shall we begin?"

"lets go"
Dylan quickly sidesteps to his right and ran forward. As he came within range of David he swung the katana across his hip in a horizontal slash.

David re-oriented when his opponent stepped to the left, the movement gaining him nothing at all in the grand scheme of things. When he got close, David backpedaled out of the range of the slash, then waited for it to pass him by before charging forward himself and driving a straight kick directly at Dylan's oncoming chest.

as soon as his opponent backpedalled he checked the momentum of the blow and brought the katana's hilt to the side of his left hip. Planting his foot so he wouldn't go forward he stopped with the blade pointed directly at David's heart. Forcing the other man to keep his distance or run into his sword.

David, on the grounds of not being a complete idiot, opted to forego his previously intended charge in light of the new maneuver and instead just stopped and let a half-smile (more of a smirk really) play across his lips. "Not bad. Keeping your opponent at a distance. A good tactic considering the lack of reach in my weapon. Care to see how it fares in a longer exchange?"

When his opponent didn't react to his question in the slightest, David cleared his throat and repeated what he'd just said, wondering with increasing concern whether the man had just spontaneously gone deaf, dumb, and blind on him.
