just curious how many people would be interested in a guild wars rp with little to no actual lore tied in. i'm not too familiar with the lore but i love the game and my characters. i want to see one or two of them working together with other people.

Will do later. But I was hoping to do one here so that I could avoid the nasty lag I sometimes get. I made the mistake of not buying a gaming computer, so with all my games on it, it's just not as good as it could be.

I've always wondered at the lack of Guild Wars RPs on here. Even WoW is neglected it seems, despite both having such extensive lore and adventure-filled worlds.

Also, would this be GW1 or GW2 based?

2. I'm not too familiar with 1. And I want to try to avoid too much traditional lore (which might be a total turn off) because I want to make it my/our own. I'm not a big fan of lore-based RPs. Another reason why I don't RP ingame a lot. I pretty much just wanted to take the races and classes and such and their personal stories (and maybe some lore though I may need explanation every now and then with lore), ya'know? Make it a little different. Be creative with it.

Well let's hope we can get you from "mildly interested" to "extremely interested." The more players we get for this, the more fun it will be.

In general, even though I am technically the GM for this, I hate rules and like everyone to post their most creative or interesting additions. Good grammar is preferred, but it doesn't have to be stellar. As long as I (and the other players) can understand what you mean, that's good enough. Post length doesn't really matter. I myself can post anywhere from one sentence to four or five long paragraphs. So don't worry about that. I prefer to keep the content clean (i.e. minimal sex and dirty language), However, that does not include profanity. I don't care about profanity. I will likely drop a few swear words myself. I also like it when people stray from mainstream or cliche ideas. Do something crazy.

Basically, even though my name is on the RP, it's not mine alone. It's just as much yours as it is mine. Be creative! That's my only major rule.

It would probably be better with some lore because then we'd have a storyline, but I'm not too particularly familiar with it. So if you have suggestions like this one, I'm all ears... no pun intended, as I will be playing an Asura.

Just as a general for whoever wished to apply, I wouldn't be apposed to having a co-GM. It could be quite useful. Preferably one who is on frequently.

Well, in terms of lore, I suggest that we should stick to the racial histories and relationships i.e. Charr vs Humans, Asura being driven up to the surface, The Norn being racially discriminated by Humans etc, etc.

But I guess we could start with a different dragon if you wanted to go down the dragon-fighting route? Jormag has always been one I've wanted to see more of, or Kralkatorrik. After nearly being killed by Destiny's Edge/Glint, it'd be cool to finish off the job. The group could be like a new Destiny's Edge or something?

Also, I reckon I could help out if you want a Co-GM. I'm pretty knowledgeable on most things Guild Wars. Add me: KalasDelRio.8921 if you need to contact me whilst in-game.

I will definitely come find you. as for the dragon, I know very little about this sort of thing because I'm still in my 20s and working on my personal story. But I agree with the racial histories. I would just need help with a few other details. I would be able to grasp it pretty easily, I just need to hear it from somewhere.

Lol Quaggans are cool too. If we end up doing the dragon thing, it would be awesome if someone played the dragon too. I usually like to play the bad guys, but, on this one, I think I'll have to pass.

Personally, I'd prefer to start with something a little more low-key to begin with, and then move on to fighting something dragon-shaped and mean. Plus, it'd give us time to figure out how everything will work, what our characters are like and possibly recruit somebody to play a big, mean dragon. Surely there'll be no shortage of people who'd want to play a dragon, crushing the hopes and dreams of player characters underfoot like so many broken twigs!
