Ella Seizu & Jaska Valos

Ella looked around, well rather looked at the darkness inches from her face. This was more than just a problem to run into. She felt Jaska on her shoulders, his tail keeping him from falling. "hey...um, what do we do now?" she most definitely could not see in the dark, but she couldn't speak for the kid. For one, he had a tail, so...why not ask him if he could see or not. "Hey, you wouldn't be able to see in the dark would you, I'm not trying to like...stereotype you or anything, but I figure out have a tail, and the claws and stuff, so I mean....." she felt a bit awkward bringing up his power to him, truth be told this one of her first times, directly asking someone what their power was.

The darkness... The beast child welcomed it. Jaska actually preferred the darkness to the intense light assaulting his sensitive eyes. Here? He was in his natural element. The shadows, where the creatures great and small lurk. He leaned in closer to Ella's ear, and spoke qu "Mhm... I can see perfectly." He said with a cheerfulness in his voice. There was only one situation which he could relate this situation to; a hunt. Yes... In the hunts, he was told to be stealthy above all else. In this case; they were the prey, and the enemy team were the hunters. "Don't make fire, I'll guide you." That was the idea he had off the top of his head. He quickly looked around the room... In the forest, he would go climb up a tree, or get the high ground to hide. Huh...? There's not a single tree here, but there's certainly some high-ground. The walls. It was the closest thing they had to high ground. If they get up there, they could certainly sneak to the enemy base and get the flag! "Go over to your right. I want to climb up the wall." He guided Ella all the way over to the wall, he looked up at the top... The beast could scale this wall like it's nothing. But the problem came to Ella scaling the wall. She was only human after all. He was an Apex-Predator above all else. "Can you climb up there?"

Ella was a bit interested in this kids power, not only did he have something called, a fire heart, but the kid could see in the dark, honestly his power was all over the place and she had no clue what the kid had in his "arsenal" of power. She listened to to him and had him guide her through the dark, until her hands hit a wall "Can you climb up here?" she felt the wall for any type of nucks or crannies for her to grab on, much like how she would scale buildings, though it was darker than usual "I...I think, let me try." she put her foot on the lowest nuck, bossting herself up slightly, reching outwards for something to grab, reaching a small ledge of sorts. She pulled herself up slowly "Yeah I can most definitely do this, I just need you to point at where places I put my hands and feet are." she whispered to Jaska as she began to scale the wall.

Perhaps Ella isn't as normal as he thought. The second she started climbing up, Jaska leaped off her shoulders. He didn't want to add his extra-weight to her body when he was more than capable of climbing up on his own. He climbed up the wall, faster than Ella possibly could. Climbing was something he could call inherent at this point. He stopped for a split second, and looked back down, and wondered. If he was to guide Ella, he wouldn't be able to see her that well from up here.... He needed to be seeing from her perspective. Hm... "Let me try something..." He quickly climbed down, and got on Ella's level. He grabbed onto Ella's shoulder with one hand, and heaved the rest of his body over until he was hanging off her back. He wrapped his arms and legs around her mid-section tightly. He looked up, and could see from her angle just fine. He was putting a bit of trust in Ella here, if she falls, he'll fall. "Just try climbing slowly. I'll tell you were to go."

Ella almost fell when Jaska grabbed her shoulder "Oh shi-...dammit Jaska, you scared the hell out of me" he was wrapped around her mid section, making her instantly feel akward. This little guy was either geniunely innocent, or a really smart kid. She needed him to guide her, but he also was inches away from grabbing her boobs, lucky him. Then she mentally face palmed he's like ten dumbass, focus at the task... she listened to him point out where they were, and followed his directions, scaling the wall with him. Truth be told, he wasn't as heavy as much as she thought he would be, climbing the wall of course was hard with him around her, but it wasn't to the point that she couldn't handle it. She didn't know where they were climbing to, but after a minute or two of intense focusing and climbing, she raised her hand and it touched the ceiling "Okay what now, I think this is as far as I go humanly go" she talked to Jaska again.

Jaska made sure to keep his voice down as he gave Ella directions. He never realized how close he was to grabbing her mammaries, but overall, he was more focused on helping her than that. It wasn't long until he guided her to the top. He quickly hopped off her back (Likely to her chargin, he used her as a stepping stone) the moment Ella approached the top. Jaska grabbed onto the edge, and heaved himself up. Sitting on the wall until Ella came up. He laughed quietly. "Did I do good?" He spoke with a completely innocent smile. He felt somewhat more confident in his ability to get the flag. He didn't have too solid of a plan after climbing up the wall, though. Well, all he had to do was get the flag, and he'd win! It was best that he handles this with his hunter mindset. He got up on all fours, walking like a big-cat. He started slowly stalking towards the enemy base. Jaska paused, remembering that Ella can't see in the dark. He got up on two feet again (Two feet, all fours, it was interchangeable to him), he grabbed onto her hand. "Follow me." He pulled her along the walls, not missing a single step, "But be very quiet. They could hear us." He put a clawed finger to his lips, making a hush gesture.

The beast child lead her towards the enemy base.

Tetsuya Kyuuji
Tetsuya stood up on his legs, arching back and lifting his head, anyone around him would feel the very ground shake. Deep inside him he pulled out the most vicious roar he possibly could. The sound of the roar wasn't that of a bear, but that of a monster. He slammed down back to standing on all fours, and he suddenly bounded past Sylvia, Roaring more and more towards the flag. He stopped at a wall, looking at it around. He stopped roaring and let the sound of him get drowned out by the song, then suddenly the lights turned off and his eyes slowly began getting use to the dark. He looked around a bit confused Is this suppose to happen?... then he saw why it had happened. . Everything was a darker shade, but he could still see, he looked from his spot peeking around the corner, there was a lot going on around him, and he wasn't given much of an order other than make noise. But Sylvia was making plenty of that, so he was just going to sit and wait for this thing to start off, if anything if Henry made it to the flag he would come in and help him out if he needed it, otherwise he was pretty much just sitting around for this capture the flag game.I wonder what Asae is doing... he sat on his butt and played with his paws.

Matt and Henry

"Dont wait up!" Matt followed up after Amanda, his now heavily muscled arms looking ready to punch a hole through someone, or at least hurt someone enough to put them in the hospital if they weren't ready. He ran into the field, ready to crush some skulls, then the lights went out. He began diverting his charge to a new source, his eyes, which allowed him to see somewhat in the dark. But this was new to him, and would a take a few minutes to complete. "Oh fuck! Amanda, I need to hang back. I'll be there soon!" he said. He had not seen this coming, not one bit, and so he was completely unprepared.
"Talk to a teacher like that again Evan, I dare you, and see what happens." Henry hissed to the disrespectful little shit that was the girl that was Evan. He nodded to her, and got himself ready on his side. The bell rang, and he shimmered out of sight, his camouflage rendering him near invisible. He prepared to launch himself into action and follow through with his plan, when Matt and Amanda rushed out, followed by a few others that weren't of plan. "You idiots!" he roared to the people that were on his team. Bumbling bunch of fools. Of course he had been stuck with them. He'd do better on his own. Then the lights went out, to make matters even worse. He had seen this before, at least in battle where electrokinetics turned off the lights. This however did not stop his from doing a double take. He took a few moments to formulate a plan. As an apex predator, he was now at an even greater advantage. Most lacked the ability to see clearly in the dark. He, on the other hand, could see just fine. His eyes closed, and he relied solely on his sense of smell, hearing, and his sixth sense. Just in front of his eyes were two pits that were somewhat similar to nostril. The only difference was that these pits sensed heat. His sight was gone, but he could see where people walked, and where people were. They were bright orange and yellow, and the surrounding objects were blue, or black with blue outlines. He could see perfectly. He would make sure no one touched this flag, as the others weren't.

He kept his camouflage up, he knew from experience that some people had night vision, but still relied on the visible spectrum. He slowly, but surely padded out the front, his body tilting horizontally almost like a dinosaur. The position was more aerodynamic, and allowed him to burst into a gallop or two legged run more easily if he needed to. When he stepped out he was immediately able to pick out several signatures. Tetsuya's, Amanda's bluish with a red tint signature because of her metal form, Matt's solid red one, which was strange. But two others caught his attention. Their outlines were different, and they were solid yellow, meaning they were especially hot. And they were coming fast. Henry set into action. Within a few seconds he was out of the base, and had climbed above to the front wall of the base to watch where they entered, so he could follow them from a safe distance. He made no noise yet, he was simply watching and waiting for now.

He was good at that, watching and waiting. He knew these two opponents probably had fire related powers. He could tell by the outline one was a woman, and the other was the boy he had met the day prior, Jaska. He would play this one as safe as he could, as he didn't want to harm anyone. He might have to knock out the girl, and chase Jaska away, or simply knock them both out. He had the advantage, but he would have to make sure he didn't overdo it. The boy was also an animal meta, so he was likely on the same playing field sensually as Henry was. As Henry thought he remained silent and motionless.

Stalking his prey.

Alex looked nervous as Peter began to include her in the plan, it seemed like a good idea. But it also seemed like a dangerous one. She swallowed the lump in her throat as plans were tossed around, they were turning out the lights. Alex considered mentioning how dangerous or stupid that plan could be, but something was nagging at the back of her mind. The idea of her being useful in this game. It made her pride swell just to know she could help. But along with this, Alex knew how dangerous her power could be. And this danger intensified when she was in the dark.

But by now it was too late to voice her concern, the plan was being set in motion. Alex suddenly forgot every direction Peter had given her as she took a big step away from Lynn. Alex took a deep breath, looking horribly nervous. She had to keep herself together, she couldn't blind anyone else. Some of these kids could have light sensitivity. And the idea of hurting someone because she couldn't control herself was terrifying. She held her breath, looking quickly over at Lynn as the lights flickered out.

Now the dark itself never bothered Alex, technically she was never really in the dark. As soon as the lights went out Alex began to glow. Again, technically she was always glowing. But in the dark it seemed so much brighter. Alex's entire self seemed to glow in some way. Her skin was glowing a strange, unnatural, green color. Similar to the artificial green glow of those weird plastic stars people stick to the ceilings of their bedrooms. The skintight outfit she had been given by the school had a similar glow to it, something that her normal clothing did not do. Alex appreciated the nice touch.

Her hair was glowing brightly as well, a white glow that almost hurt to stare at for too long. Locks of her hair seemed to float about, as if they were given their own gravitational pull. Even when she opened her mouth there was a new flash of light, as if someone stuck a book light down her throat. Her teeth looked bright enough to make a dentist cry.

The main source of her brightness came from her eyes, which now didn't even look like eyes. Their brightness was closer to someone replacing her eyes for flashlights. Alex frowned, as if unhappy at her own self being so standout in the dark. She covered her eyes with a glowing hand as she turned to face her group. “So...uh...now what?”

Gabriela Mya Valos.

Lights out. Heh, it turned out that Metal wasn't talking out his ass after all. It almost brought a smirk to Gabe's face how quickly he knocked the lights out and sent everyone on the other team into disarray. She didn't flinch one bit. The lights her hands gave off were adjusted so that she could see in front of herself. So, Gabe will have to work with Alex on this, but, for now, she was told to stay put because reasons. Meh, Gabe didn't do the soldier leadership thing well, but one glance told her that Jake was going along with it, so that meant she was going to. As fun as it would be to experience the combat-high, rational Gabe only really wants to punch Evan in the tits - Plus, the party is about to come to them. Jaska had already gone off with Ella - Damn devil never listens. Hopefully, he'll have to do without support in the meantime. Like I said, up to you, Ella. Don't fuck it up. Alex had asked a question, and Gabe turned towards her. "Weren't ya' listenin'? We're supposed to defend, or something - That reminds me." Gabe turned towards Peter and gave him a bored glare. His metal-man bullshit didn't phase him. To her, he was just a student who everyone suddenly decided to dick ride. No better than she is. Gabe spat out, "Metal man, I don't like standing around with my thumb firmly up my ass. Do your thing, or I'm giving your plan the finger." She brought up an illuminated fist, and made it brighter. Unlike Alex, Gabe doesn't give any fucks about standing out in the dark. Because anyone gets stupid, they'll stand out after being set on fucking fire!

The wait for someone to show up was starting to get a little boring. Oh, I guess everyone is going to chit-chat some more? Well, there's Alex right here. She's as good as a conversation as any. Since they're all on one team, and standing right next to each other. "So, I guess we're the 'chargers'? This will be fun, won't it?" She looked at Alex. Yeah, this chick was definitely the real preppy type - But not the type who would charge head first into the same fights she has. She can tell from the lack of scars. Hopefully this chick won't be dead weight, since they're going to doing a lot of fighting, being in front of everyone. "Ugh, look, just stick with me. I know what I'm doing. You? I don't know..." This was legit. Gabe was going to give Alex a helping hand, because she had the feeling she would be doing most of the work here. But, she couldn't help but say, "But, if you do good, maybe I'll show you MY scissor maneuver." She spoke flirtatiously.

For now, she waited. Gabe was going to play along with the plan. Unless Evan showed her ugly ass face, then, well, all bets are off. Hopefully Peter will understand the unwritten law of of 'Talk shit, get hit'.

Jaska Din Valos.

Something wasn't right here. Jaska's instincts were going wild telling him that he was being watched... Hunted. The boy stopped dead in his tracks and released Ella from his clawed grasp. He looked around observantly. Paying extra-attention to the sounds and smells that were going on. He faintly smelled a reptile, but that wasn't enough for him. He didn't know what it was, and that was the problem. He related this entire trip to a hunt, but up until now, he was the hunter. "... We're being hunted." He warned Ella, in a low tone. "I don't know what is hunting us... but just know we are..." Still, he had a job to do, regardless, he needed to press on. Staying in one place too long is what draws them to you. Makes them think you are weak. But the boy was going to appear strong. No room for weakness. He is the apex predator. No one will ever best him. He wrapped his tail around Ella's wrist and lead her forward, "C'mon..." He kept it moving.

It wasn't long until the boy, and Ella, were standing over the enemy team's base. Fortunately these outer walls allowed him a straight shot to the enemy team's base. No real opposition. The roof of the enemy base, and the walls weren't too far apart. At least a good ten feet. It wasn't a jump he hasn't made before (In fact, he's done bigger jumps). But the problem was could Ella do it? "I think I can jump on the roof... It's not that far away." He explained to her, before asking, "Um... Can you make it?" If she can't, then he would get the flag himself. Then again, he knew that it would be foolish to go off on his own. Movies told him that.

Deborah Termellio, Jake Valos, & Shannon Balore.

It felt underhanded (You have pressured her) doing what she did. The more Kristen talked, the worse Deborah felt. She thought it wouldn't hurt anyone, but, she lapsed in empathy. She was more concerned with trying to win, instead of what people actually wanted. Jesus. Compassion was going to hit her hard for this one. It was too late to back out now. She had no choice but to go along with it. Kristen asked her to keep quiet about her power. She answered, "Forgive the cliche; but your secret's safe with me." That old tired cliche line was accurate. Deborah wouldn't open her mouth about it. "I am the Secret Keeper, after all." She would have made a hush gesture, but since the lights are out, Kristen wouldn't have seen it. The girl took her hand, just like she expected her to. For some reason, she found it more... romantic. There was something extremely alluring about- Fight it, Debs. Kristen's damn pheromones were starting to screw with Deborah (It is getting worse). But, Deborah knew the risks, and was determined enough to risk becoming this girl's slave to win. She guided Kristen, going off what her power told her of the environment. Deborah felt the need to address some older comments she made about not being useful (She has low self-esteem). Just to make conversation on the way. "Heh, girl, don't put yourself down like that. Stick with me, and I'll show you all the amazing things you can do." It was true... Or the fucking pheromones were messing with her head. Please lord keep me from making out with this girl here and now.

Leading Kristen back to the group was risky, because her pheromones might affect the group's behavior, and by that extension, their performance. Which is why she kept Kristen away from the group. What presented a large problem was that it was pitch-dark in this room. What that meant was her power wouldn't work that well in the dark. She would have to rely on her sense of hearing, and what the chargers illuminate, in order for her to see. This plan was a double-edged sword, but she was the tactician. And the tactician never battles. So she would be fine staying in the sidelines.

Speaking of tactician, Peter told them to stay put until he gives the green light (He has another trick up his sleeve). Which Deborah was perfectly fine with. All they have to do is defend the flag, the enemy team will probably come to them... Though, Deborah had a feeling that something was heading their way, something they wouldn't like - Yes, that Premonition power that Adam, it must be at work here. Perhaps Deborah won't be so useless in the dark anyway. "Alright, everyone stay put, the party hasn't started yet." Deborah didn't want to parrot what Peter said, but she felt the need to reiterate because two people already went off (And Deborah had the feeling that they would listen to her than Peter). That feeling that someone was coming for them was still something that she could warn them about. "And keep an eye out! I someone's coming." She warned the group.

God dammit, it's so fucking dark that Shannon could barely operate. She should have smacked Metal-man outside his head for even suggesting. But, Shannon sighed. If it was something Debby believed in, then she'll follow. Shannon was mostly using the light that Gabe and Alex were giving off to set up little traps around the base. She set up small threads in strategic areas, and at just the right position to trip people. Even for someone with night vision, it'd be hard to notice them. It was so simple that nobody would even consider it being effective! But, there were other factors at work here. She had increased the tensile strength so that it was comparable of titanium. Not something that anyone could break. Though, this wasn't a permanent way to stop the enemy team, just slow them down and leave them vulnerable. What Valjean's doing on the other hand might be more effective. Since whoever is brave enough will be walking into a sandstorm will probably not last that long to begin with.

Debby came back, with some other hot chick (Oh, Debs, replacing me because my skin isn't fair? That's so unfair.), and it was only appropriate that Shannon takes her side. She walked over to Deborah's side, and spoke, "Friend of yours Deb? Shannon Balore." Shannon didn't know why, but she was strangely attracted to this girl. Even for a tempered and savvy person like Shannon is, she didn't give Kristen the usual and was far more open around her.

Fuck (Shannon is being affected by the pheromones). She would warn Shannon, but she has a promise to keep... a duty to fulfill. Keep this a secret, because she was in literally no place to say anything about to begin with. Deborah had a better time resisting the effects of the pheromones because she knew of them exactly (You cannot fight them off forever, Deborah) what they were doing to her mind. "Yes, I got her to help us. She is going to be sticking with us." Deborah tried to distract herself.

"Hmph, I'm fine with that." Shannon put a hand on her hip.

"Ladies." Jake said as he appeared before them in a puff of smoke - Well, he created a light just so they can see the puff of smoke. He was going for that magician angle. He knew that now wasn't the time to show off, but he wanted to talk to Kristen for a bit. "I see you have made acquaintances with the Supermodel. Uh... I guess we are waiting for our cue?"

"Yes. We are." Shannon said, crossing her arms, and giving him the evil eye - She relented. She needed him. "Jake, if someone attacks, I want you to confuse them so my traps can do their thing."

"Traps?" Jake said, curious.

"These..." Shannon took a step over and tapped a thread with her toe. It was so tight that it barely shook. Probably enough to trip someone if they aren't aware. "Oh, fuck." Shannon just remembered that she didn't tell anyone on her team about them. "Everyone watch your step!" It was a warning, but she didn't want to give it way. When they begin their charge, she'll take them down.

Valjean Vaseal.

Someone opted to defend? Good. Valjean sized Quinn up, she looked like the usual dykes that wandered into this damn school. Eh, whatever. Long as she isn't piss useless as most of the kids here. The lights went out, just like Peter had said, and that presented little problem. In his scorpion form, his vision was already poor, and he already relied on his seismic sense and enhanced sense of smell. Valjean kept his desert going. Sand was stretching out in all directions, and the air was uncomfortable hot and dry at this point, and it got worse by the second. Anyone who got in too close would get the heat bearing down on them. Where Valjean was positioned, anyone who wants the flag has no choice but go through him. Even in the darkness, his seismic sense would pinpoint where his opponent is, and that was his signal to get the sandstorm going. Sure, it'd be tiring, but that'd be the only thing he'd have to do. Unless some Hot-shot has super durability or something, then he would have to take some more drastic measures.

The air was getting hotter by a steady rate.

Still, there was that Quinn gal just chilling nearby. While he didn't really care, he could warn her at least. Team-work and all that shit. "Hey, Quinn!" Valjean loudly shouted, his voice was inhuman, still insectian. "Keep your distance! If someone rolls up, I'm going to tear the place up with sand." That was all the warning she needed. Here on in, what she does with it is irrelevant. In fact, it would be funny if he sent this dumbass to the hospital with shredded skin, lungs full of sand, or a heat stroke. But, hey. He warned her. With that out the way, Valjean kept the conversation between the two to a minimum. He needed to focus... The rate he was going, the desert would spread fast enough to cover distance after some time, but slow enough that he doesn't burn himself out. In case he gets into a fight, and needs some sand, he figures that he'll force the process along a little bit, and create some sand.

Theresa Sindel Obott, & Dana Lucille Alcott.

"Yeah, lady. Keep all that edge to yourself," Theresa spoke to Evan, poking her head out the base entrance, this gas mask muffled her voice a bit, "... You're scaring the children!" Theresa had to agree with Henry on this one. Speaking to a teacher like you're permanently menstruating? Probably not the wisest choice. Even if you're new. If Evan got her panties in a twist further, then that's just digging her hole deeper. Theresa walked right back into the entrance of her team's bunker followed by Dana. Waiting for this damn match to start. She watched from a distance, and could tell that everything's already gone to shit. It made her smirk underneath that mask she has. Amanda, who was supposed to be playing defense, immediately rushed them, Paige has already run off, and Sylvia - Ah, fuck! This silver-haired bitch was blasting music, very bad music (There's a reason why she stuck to the indie scene). Tess had to plug her ears, since this magical superdrug made her more susceptible to pain. Worst of all, the fucking lights went out. That really caught her off guard. She jolted, and she had to take a double take. She looked around in front of herself and it quickly became apparent that no one would be able to see. She was expecting to at least be able to watch. At least the music stopped. She rolled her eyes. "Seriously guys, what the hell is going on?" That joking, playful, Tess had to be put on the self as she asked everyone this question.

Oh god, Dana was largely surprised when the bloody lights went out. "What?!" Dana's voice wasn't like it normally was... It sounded alien, vaguely sounding like her normal voice. She covered her mouth and remained quiet. She wondered if Adam would allow people to take the lights out. She hoped not. But the surprise of the lights wore off fast, mostly because she can see perfectly in the dark. The problem came when she was transformed. Well, she was used to it.... But she liked being in her own skin, it just felt so unnatural to be this creature.

Well, fuck. God dammit. Tess can't see in the dark - Like any other ordinary human. She had to feel around for a bit. "Poppy-flower, you, uh, t-" She wanted to know where Poppy was. Instead, she managed to bump into what had to be Dana's wheelchair. Then there was that awkward moment when Theresa remembered Dana's power. She ruffed her hands through her hair. Trying to casually ask, "Uh... Umm... You changed, right?"

Dana said nothing.

Tess pointed a finger, and cheerily said, "I'll take that as a yes." Ummm... She knew that Dana would probably want to be human again. Hm... How would anyone help with that? Theresa had her phone on her, since she didn't have to worry about it breaking since she wasn't really participating. She shined it on Dana, only to quickly realize she wasn't in her chair.... She was oddly standing up. Theresa was going to shine her phone's light on her, but choose not to. It was amusing, after all that talk about being uncomfortable with her power, she was going to use it. Well, no one is going to see it. Theresa grinned again, "Hm, decided to help, after all? Heh, not like anyone would see you."

It was ominous, and uncomfortable, but Dana couldn't use the 'I don't want my power being known' rationalization anymore. Nobody would see her do it, so that was a plus. So there she was, with that helmet, and hood, tossed on her head. Standing straight up like a tower, except, a few heads taller. Had to be eight feet tall exactly. She turned her body towards Tess - it wasn't a natural movement like someone would make if they had legs, she turned like she was on a rotation - and leaned in close to Tess's face, nodding in agreement. Anyone who saw this would be rather put off by her sudden ability to stand. Even if someone did charge in here right now, she'd be back on her wheelchair like nothing happened.

"Cool, have fun out there." Theresa said with a impish grin. "It would be cheating but... I think our team screwed the pooch here."

In a blur of movement, Dana was out the door. Not even the best reflexes could keep up with her. She was going to stay out of sight, with her level of speed, that wasn't too hard to accomplish - But, she was going to stay away from the middle. That's where all the action's happening, and the perfect place to get spotted. Dana is going to support her team, trip people, get the flag back - since getting the flag would be so easy that it'd be cheating. All she'd have to do is do it just right that nobody notices that it's Dana Alcott. She was going to look for Henry.

Amanda Daisy Blackmore.

The music blaring meant jackshit to Amanda. She kept bumrushing the enemy base (She was halfway to the middle fortress) until the fucking lights went out. Really, even the battle-crazed Amanda didn't see that coming. "What the fuck...?" She stopped in her tracks and asked herself, looking around, confused. She had a lapse of control, and the wrecking ball slammed straight into the ground. Creating another massive bang. The ball started rolling around on the ground as Amanda tried to figure what the hell just happened. Like, what the hell? Daddy was allowing them to take out the lights. Whatever. The problem came when Amanda had to decide what to do. It was fucking pitch black in here. Heating metal to the point it glowed would be stupid. Ugh, she'll have to rely on her useless team to help. "Matt! Nikki! Give me a hand!" Amanda loudly shouted.

Nikki Biyung.

For. The. Love. Of. God! What the high hell is everyone on her team doing? It's like they decided to go full retard at this exact moment. Nikki facepalmed. Shaking her head. Worst of all, the lights went out, and her vision was flooded with darkness. It meant that she couldn't see jackshit for herself. Every goddamn thing was going to hell. Nobody was following the plan, and it was dark on top of that. "Everyone, regroup!" Nikki tried to call out, since Henry was on the move, she was the leader. They needed to quickly reassess their strategy at least. Well, there was her swarm.... Her bugs were still monitoring the enemy, keeping tabs on their exact location. Something was odd here... Aside from two people moving, they were still bunched together. Which was odd. Were they defending? Most likely had a plan in place, Nikki just needed to figure it out. Because she had expected them to rush forward and do something. It was just obvious. Nikki's team had already scrambled, but she shouted for anyone willing to listen, "They're up to something! None of them are on the move!"

Sylvia Lana Bertoose.

Lights out, and Sylvia's focus just dropped. She was in the middle of a dancing along to the music (Very suggestively, had lots of butt movements), and hell, the fucking lights went out. Like, Sylvia didn't give a fuck about her plan or the team, but nobody god damn said anything about darkness. She jolted immediately, and the volume of her song went right back down to normal levels. Nobody could hear it but her. Well, shit. She could just raise the volume again, but she had to change priorities (It was getting old, anyway). She needed to actually see. Sylvia nodded her head and opened her mouth, time to practice her singing a bit. She hummed a beautiful song, and raised the volume a bit, everyone nearby would hear it. Blinking, she activated her sound wave vision. She saw exactly where the soundwaves went, and what they bounced off of, thus she got a visual map of the area. That was not counting what sounds everyone else was making. Come to think of it, if she really wanted to help, she could have totally spied on the enemy team and decoded their plans. Meh, only if the chucklefuck wasn't here. Sylvia absentmindedly shrugged.

Well, the chucklefuck was pushing forward, Amanda was dumbfounded, and Henry (Even though he turned invisible, he still has a solid body) was going for some people on the walls. Ultimately unimportant. Sylvia figured that she should go fuck with the Chucklefuck, no matter what he does, Sylvia was going to make sure that he doesn't get any enjoyment from this match. Sylvia focused on Stephen's footsteps, and amplified the volume, and echoed it (Causing it to repeat itself). Loud enough that everyone would hear him if they paid attention (And probably cause Stephen some discomfort). Making sure that everyone knows exactly where the Chucklefuck is.

Quinn Daives

Quinn sighed in relief when the lights went out. Sure, she could control what specific source of energy she could absorb, but that didn't mean she didn't feel the other sources. Whenever she activated her power, light energy always felt euphoric. It was so tantalizing, all of that energy that both caressed and assaulted the skin of her face. It was an undeniable pleasure, the power that specific form of energy gave her, like forbidden fruit. But the consequences of the last time she took a bite was still fresh. That rush of power and aggression frightened her frankly. So, even though she was robbed of her sight, the darkness offered her comfort within its arms. She kept on the edge of the desert at Valjean's warning but then shot back at him, "Thanks for the concern, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now."

She felt the sand shifting beneath her feet then hummed, "I can move the sand for you if you'd like? How far out do you want it?" she asked. He warned her, she could at least offer her services as a show of good faith. She definitely felt the heat of the increase of heat and settled her power to absorb the heat slowly to keep her skin at a steady temperature. Not a cool temperature per say, but steady in the face of the rising heat.

Peter wasn't given more than a moment or two to revel in the glory that was his electrical arm. Shortly after the lights went out, he heard a fair amount of background noise that he didn't necessarily pay much heed to. It was the voice of the girl from earlier (Gabriela Valos, was it?) who spat at an impatient comment of criticism. Oh, of course. He did this for an arm, naturally. He already decided to not leave them to the wolves. He glanced at his hand for a brief pause and recomposed himself as he walked a corner and went up another flight of stairs. He saw all around the corners, as long as he discharged a little bit of electricity with each step. At the top of the stairs was another short hallway, and a four way crossing. At the end, straight ahead, was a doorless doorway out onto a balcony. It was perfect. Peter poised himself, one arm crossing his chest and one arm back, he charged forward and ran through the hall - each step banging against the ground of the second floor in the Team 1 bunker. As he entered the balcony (which would be more aptly described as a watch post), he leaped up and over the rails and flew past the walls that acted as its perimeter. Aside from himself and the air around him, he was blinded.

With his metal left arm, he pointed it below him as electricity arced from one should to the other and crawled down his metal arm. From there, the web of static arced from his hand towards the ground where it then allow him sight of where he would be landing. Peter clenched his left fist; and his initial trajectory was abruptly interrupted as the electromagnetic field between himself and the ground was amplified, and a forced tugged him straight down. Like the heavy hand of God, his body crashed down, making thunderous impact as his foot and knee struck the ground, which Peter had met in a kneel. His electric arm was infused with the metal ground of the arena seemingly elbow deep as though he had punched a hole in it (although that was not the case). In that instant, the arena lit up for a brief moment: an electric blue web crawled and jumped along the metal walls and ceiling and ground - a brief and sudden flash of glowing light and the sound of thousands of cracking and popping kernals - before gently dying down back to the pitch blackness that it was once before. Most suits were made with the proper material to provide resistance, but with such a powerful discharge, electricity would still crawl over the skin and hair would stand on end. Those more exposed would feel a minor shock, as though they had removed a power plug incorrectly... over the span of their whole bodies. It was nothing fatal.

Not to them. Not to people.

As Peter eased himself back to his feet and upright posture, the sound akin to that of rattling leaves could be heard from up above. In a few brief moments, however, it would rain. Something solid. Surely not leaves - they were paper thin. Nuts and seeds too solid - and they were not here, but out in nature. The swarms of bugs that Peter had sensed earlier, the hundreds upon hundreds of insects, they all came falling down as lifeless husks. Peter did not think his team was aware of their presence above or along the walls - and he did not warn them. Perhaps a few would be frightened by it. Those on this team who knew the friend to insects on the other team might know what to expect. Still. He imagined that the opposing team would be expecting this even less. Their eyes or their auxiliary support, whatever their intended purpose was, would rain down over the entire battlefield. That was one chunk of their plan removed. The darkness was just another thing they didn't expect. Now it was time for the pincer maneuver. Peter glanced at his electric arm. It was half as bright and consistent as it was before - he had about four or five minutes left on it. He would keep on the defensive near Valjean and his desert. He didn't want to scare people away by being next to Alex and Gabe. Those were the people to keep them distracted, not to be avoided. So he would hang back.

"Okay." Peter confirmed, after the huge display was finished. "Perform the pincer maneuver. Gabriela Valos and Alex... straight down the center. The rest who are not defending, split into two groups off to the side. When a group of the enemy charge forward to meet them, you clamp down on them... and ii-ie-gnore... the bugs."

They already had their flag scout. He saw two people moving fast and running off in that brief second of clarity when the whole room lit up. A hostile seemed near them. Hopefully these new developments would distract them. Perhaps they would think that scout was a distraction while the two real distractions charged forward.

Mark

His eyes were as adjusted as they would ever be to this gloom. His eyes were taking in what little light was leaking in from outside, whether from his teammates or his enemies. Just enough to keep him from blindness; if he wanted to discern any detail from anything, it was like looking for Waldo from a meter away. It was doable.. it just took time. Lucky for him, his power gave him all the time in the world. And the music had stopped. That was pleasant.

The room he was in was centered around the flag in the middle: it looked like a carbon fiber pole, and it bent ever so slightly when he pushed up against it. Obviously it was designed to be rugged. Good to know. On the lower floor there was an entrance and a set of stairs to it's right that hugged the corner of the room on it's ascent. There was a side entrance to the left and above was the second floor, which was little more than some balconies with steel-mesh railings and a roof. As to where that would lead.. he didn't know. Mark did know that there were balconies on the outside, but he didn't plan to go on defense. He didn't plan for the lights going out either, and it wasn't caused by a member of his team, he knew that for damn sure. That meant that he could be fighting people who could see in the dark. He bit he would have bitten his lip if he still had those subtle reflexes.

A wave of embarrassment seemed to wash over him as he remembered the phone in his pocket. He switched it on and checked the battery: 74%. Perfect. He closed one eye and switched on it's flashlight function, holding it facing the ground. The room immediately illuminated itself. He let a small grin slide across his face for a brief second as he contemplated his own forgetfulness. Nikki's (or he assumed they were Nikki's) bugs were scurrying around, now illuminated beyond a blob of moving shadow. One crawled up his leg, infatuated by the glow coming from his hand, but Mark gave it little attention: he was on high alert. Flag in hand, torch in the other, awaiting an assault from people with powers greater than his own and with no allies in sight. A rock fell to the pit of his stomach as visions of permanent damage echoed through his psyche.

From nowhere, a wave of electricity flowed through the bunker. He watched it travel with chaotic beauty across the walls and flooring with a brilliant blue glow as the rest of the world stood still. He stared as sparks flew from the insects it overtook. It crossed his mind that something similar may happen to him when it finally came to his feet, but it was far too late for him to jump out of the way of something this fast. He knew what would happen to his phone if it connected to it, and he figured that his suit would have more resistance than Nikki's (he assumed) bugs. His body on the other hand..

As the oncoming tide of lightning crept closer, Mark tried desperately to drop his phone; to break physical contact and minimize chance of it getting hit. He felt the tendons in his fingers and palm scream at him the impossibility of the effort, but he was running on fear. Fear of what could come for him in the dark in this school of monsters. Some damage to his hand was worth the risk of being left in the dark. He fought for what felt like a good 10 minutes against a foe that could not be stopped.

And with that resolve, and his supreme surprise; his hand opened. The pain was gone, but he felt like he'd just done a full day's work in front of a computer screen: he was felt mentally drained. The phone stayed still in the air, and his fingers were no longer in contact.. the skin on the sides of his fingers felt raw. But he had done it in time: although he couldn't move his head to see it reach his feet, the blue incandescence only just reached his feet. He let time flow quicker to dull the shock that coursed through his body, and then it was gone.

His hair was slightly on end, but he didn't have time to admire that: he spun his vision round and caught his falling phone before it hit the presumably steel floor. It still worked fine. As he had hoped, his body had enough resistance to stop the electricity from arcing over to his phone: if he still had contact however, then it would assuredly have done some level of damage to such intricate circuitry. Or at least, he imagined it would. He wondered whether his physics was right, or he had imagined the entire peril that the unexpected attack would be to his phone.

The bug from before, now happily on his shoulder, seemed indifferent to his fretting. A hard one-eyed stare did nothing to convince it of the importance of physics. With a sigh, Mark went back to listening for intruders, and watching for movement.

He did not even consider that his power had begun its development.

Kristen Schwally

Kristen simply smiled and nodded towards Shannon when she introduced herself. She was still nervous and feeling pressured. Deborah was nice enough to try and make her feel better, and it might have if it weren't for the fact that Kristen truly didn't see a single use for her ability in a combat zone like Deborah did apparently. Of course as long as she didn't get hurt and nothing affected her job Kristen guessed that it would be alright to give it a shot.

Then her face lit up when Jake appeared. Well those within range would definitely feel some affects now. She became so happy just from him showing up. All of her nervousness went away, and she felt a lot more comfortable. Now that Jake was around nothing would happen to her, and this meant she got to spend more time with him. Too bad Gabriela wasn't with them though. Kristen once more had to resist the urge to jump up and hug Jake, which one of these days she would probably just end up saying screw it and just do it. She mentally frowned though. Now she just wanted the whole thing to end so she could spend time alone with Jake and Gabriela so they could catch up. All good things in good time right? Then again she still had to talk to Adam and figure out what she could do. This day just wouldn't give her a break.

Stephen Avarian

Stephen had made it most of the way to the fortress, but then his footsteps got loud. He sighed in response and just stopped outside of the main entrance to the middle section. Fine, if someone wanted to fuck with him then he'd just stand here and wait for whoever came this way and crush them. This had to be someone on his team though, no one else had such audible steps. So that meant someone was fcking with him. So that left two suspects. You had Amanda who wasn't really the type to do this, plus she'd run off to have fun. So that left Sylvia. Of course it could be someone else, but that was the most likely suspect, especially considering her personality. Plus she owed him one for fucking with her fun earlier, fine whatever. He put his hands in his pockets and started exerting the heat. The second someone walked out the middle onto their side the heat would hit them and Stephen would continue to eliminate the threat. Plus the longer it took the more he was deadly to them along with the air in the area. This should be fun indeed.

Matthew and Amanda

Hearing Amanda call his name, Matt accelerated his vision enhancement. It was far from completely developed, and would require more time to perfect, but he had some way of finding his way now, rather than simply bumping into things. "On my way!" he yelled, quickening his pace and moving over to Amanda's side. He had no idea where Nikki was, and therefore couldn't help her find her beloved cousin. "We need to rethink this, because I can barely see jack shit." Matt said. He doubted the enemies could really see either, but at least they were prepared for this. "Do you have a form that helps you see in the dark? Maybe you could heat up the metal on your body to make some light?"

"Get over here, you sexy thing!" Amanda shouted as she followed Matt's voice. Jesus, it was piss all dark. She was going to punch whoever knocked out the lights in the balls. Before Amanda knew it, she was getting zapped by electricity. Well, that was an over exaggeration, but she saw the electricity course through the room for a second, before it all disappeared. It wasn’t enough to trigger Amanda’s replicatio. "Yikes!" Amanda hopped back for a second out of surprise. Okay, what the fuck is going on here? That was the least of her concerns. The worst of all, bugs were falling all over the place, and getting all over Amanda. That shit’s nasty. Whatever just happened probably killed Nikki’s spy bugs. “FUUUUUUUUUUCK YOOOOOOOOU TEEEEEEAM OOOOOOOOOONE!” Amanda loudly shouted her cries of anguish at the enemy team. They would hear it, just because.

Ugh, this team of hers is useless. They should have rushed the enemy bunker right behind her! Not jerk off. Whatever, whatever. At least Amanda was hoping Panda-man would redeem himself, but no, he’s eating bamboo or fucking scary swordsmen lady. Keep it moving. It’s all up to Amanda and Matt now… But dear god, was it getting hot over here. Amanda felt a wave of heat overwhelm her body. She was dripping sweat, and could barely think straight. This was obviously the work of a Meta-human, but normally, at this point Amanda should have copied it…. Unless? What the fuck? It had to be Stephen! She already had his power. “Stephen, you dumbass, hit the other team….” She was wondering why in all hell he was going for Team 2, but he seems to be pretty dumb to begin with. Amanda created a pole to lean on as she panted, trying to gather her bearings. “MAAAAAAAATT!! I need you!” Amanda cried out, trying to get Matt’s attention quick as possible. If it needed to be, Amanda would gladly knock Stephen out.

Hearing his girlfriend call him, Matt made his way over as quickly as he could. He relished the bugs falling, I mean, it came as a surprise and all, but hey, free biomass was free biomass, and he could use it fuel his power. He had created two large disks out of his limbs to collect the falling bugs, which were absorbed almost as soon as they fell. Now that he was charged, he changed his arms to claws. “Catch your breath, I’ll cover you as best I can. I can’t change powers too much more today.” he said. “Try wielding something lighter so you don’t tire yourself out. That pole will work. I’ll go take care of whoever’s doing this. Any ideas who?”

“Thank you.” Amanda said the moment after Matt came to assist. “It’s Stephen. He’s the only faggot who I got heat powers from… Go break him in half for me.” Amanda couldn’t control her metal ball anymore, so she would rather get it out the way than let anyone else use it. She rolled it back over behind cover, out of the way hopefully. That pole of metal she created broke off the floor.
Matt nodded. “Gladly, and with that he was off, his super charged body pushing him faster than what any normal human could go. He ran to where he had last seen the bird brained tool. He skidded to a stop when he saw the village idiot. He had beat Sylvia to him. “You moron!” he shouted, his arms converting to muscle mass as to not cut the boy’s body in half as he collided with him, sending Stephen to a wall. “Go heat the other side of the field! It’s a god damn microwave out there! The only reason I’m functioning is because I’m spending energy keeping myself from overheating, cut the shit out!” he growled, backing off Stephen. “Help the team out here, or I will.” he said flatly, before slipping off and away, back to where Amanda was. He had to make sure she stayed safe, as she was his priority right now.
Henry and Jaska

Henry waited, moving slowly, purposefully, along the wall. Each one of his appendages placed perfectly and slowly onto the cool metal of the base, as to make no sound. He moved along the wall, and was at this point within striking distance of his targets, his prey. He thought for a moment on his next course of action. He thought best to separate the young one from the older girl. He might've been a predator like himself, but he was still a child, and therefore experienced in hunting, or at least, not as experienced as him. He slowly but surely crept closer. He knew the boy knew he was being watched. He wanted him to figure out where he was. This was a training exercise, and he wanted to help the boy hone his senses. If any situation did that, it was here and now.

Something was wrong here. Worse than before. Now that Henry has gotten closer, the boy's could sense him clearer, his instincts told him to move. Fight or flight... The inherent reaction. Coded into generation upon generation. He didn't know what to do, his instincts were overwhelming him. Overwriting the normally passive child's thought process with one similar to a beast. He nearly pushed Ella away. God dammit, he knew what moments like this caused. "... I'll get the flag, stay here!" He said uncharacteristically loud. Jaska's legs sprung up and he did one large leap until he was on the top of the enemy base. He choose to separate himself from Ella to protect her from himself. If he attacked her... He just wouldn't forgive himself. Separating himself made him feel as if he dropped a heavy weight, now he just has to worry about himself. Before he could do anything, everything flashed with an electric light. Bright lights were pretty painful, and the boy recoiled for a moment as he covered his eyes, "Ugh!" He exclaimed as he covered his eyes. Electricity briefly surged through his eyes - Fortunately, it wasn't anything serious. Bugs started dropping down on him. "... Hm?" The boy grunted in confusion. Like, he could smell the burnt matter, as it fell on him and stained his cool new suit... He distracted himself for a moment as he tried to brush them off. Unintentionally leaving himself open.

The light had no effect on Henry, in fact, if it weren’t for the bugs that began to rain from the sky and the little heat signatures they gave off that were slightly higher than usual, he probably would’ve have even noticed what happened. He ignored it for the time being, he was too focused on his target. He had separated himself from the girl, making his job a little bit easier. When the boy yelled, Henry screeched, lunging forward and grabbing the boy, ignoring the pain of the fire, his suit blocking most of the heat, but not all of it. The amount of force behind the lunge sent them both barreling off the side of the base, only for Henry to catch them by hooking his tail underneath a window. The two swung backwards, Henry’s tail unhooking and his body rolling to land with him on top. His jaws opened, revealing several sets of teeth and tongue and other mouthy bits that lacked the ability to camouflage, and looked like a floating mouth due to his body being cloaked. He roared in Jaska’s face, the high pitched screech more than likely to leave his ears ringing for a moment, before he launched himself off the boy and shut his jaws, returning to a more stealthy approach. The reptile jumped from his position on the ground, and clawed his way onto the ceiling, moving quickly. He made a great deal of sound this way, but would be harder to hit by any incoming attacks. As he moved, he called, this sound much deeper in pitch, and sounded more like a cry of alarm or for help than anything else. He wanted to make sure Jaska knew that not only he knew he had invaded, but that everyone else had. He wanted to make Jaska leave on his own accord. Scare tactics were far more effective than brute force most of the time. His body had already healed most of the burns, as they were minor, being mostly blocked by both Jaska and Henry’s suits, but would remain there for another few seconds before his stin returned to normal.

The boy had let his guard down. The one thing his mother told him never to do. The moment he was grabbed, he loudly snarled, not unlike a demon would. He didn’t know what was going on, and he gave into his instincts. His body ignited with a brilliant flame, he was like a torch in Henry’s arms. Could be seen from a distance. His own suit was fortunately heat-proofed, but it wasn’t enough. The suit was covered in black scorch marks. Jaska desperately squirmed in an attempt to escape Henry’s grasp. His mind was taken over by the beast within. The moment he was released, Jaska darted off. Running on all fours, his feet made a skidding sound against the metal as he brought himself to a stop. The child was still illuminated by the fire. He was like a giant torch. But, he deactivated his pryomancery. The boy was growling, desperately searching for Henry so he could counterattack, he smelled the burnt lizard-flesh, but he stopped himself there. He quickly regained control of himself. Jaska knew that his plan to sneak into the base was a bust… It was like a Zebra alerting the rest of his pack… Jaska had no choice but to retreat, truly. Come from a different angle. It’d only be a matter of time before the rest of the enemy team shows up.

Flight. Jaska ran to the edge of the enemy base, and leaped back up onto the wall. He ran past Ella, grabbing her wrist, trying to get her to run along with him. “C’mon, we have to run!” Henry alerted the pack, and it would only be a matter of time before they come to investigate. Inside the base, an echo of a roar could be heard, resonating around the arena causing the whole place to go silent for a moment, save for the music.

There was no better way of telling someone to stay out than that.

Mark

A clang from the second floor gained a high amount of Mark's attention. Something heavy had just slammed into it, and he doubted that it was friendly. He set his gaze on the opening above him, waiting for his opponent to show itself. The flicker of flame danced on the ceiling, along with a great shadow; and then the shout of a beast which curdled his blood that made his neck hair try to escape from his skin. Much more so than that electric shock. The torchlight did little to illuminate the ceiling, but the shadow vanished as more clanging signaled a great creature on the move. The red glow shook about in what he presumed was terror, before disappearing altogether, but that wasn't what held his vision skyward. The sounds came from directly above him, and yet nothing seemed to be there. And then yet another roar reverberated within his soul; this time though, the tone was different. It was as if it had just fought something off, and wanted to make sure it had put the fear of God into it..

With a quick scan of the two entrance ways on the ground floor, he wheeled the business end of his precious electronic up to the ceiling, where it stayed for a fraction of a second. And there it was: absolutely nothing. Nothing but a very slight shadow, which moved with the change in lighting. It was the shape of a great lizard, and upon further scrutiny the subtle pattern of scales discerned themselves to his eyes.

It would appear he did have an ally after all; it was 'Godzilla'.

The fraction of a second over, he returned his beacon to the floor facing position. It would have looked as though he had simply waved his arm in a circle while looking upwards to anyone watching him. To Mark, it meant a lot more.

He gave a curt nod to what he assumed was his teammate, before continuing to periodically survey all the entrances to the damned metal coffin he found himself defending. At the very least, he was happy he wasn't in it alone.

Poppy Flanagan

This capture the flag match was nothing short of terrifying for Poppy. She could deal with the jokes about being used as a human shield, but as soon as the siren sounded everything went to hell. First Amanda charged off shouting, then loud offensive music started blaring. It wasn't like anything she had heard before, and she might have been okay with it if it wasn't so loud. That and it was cruder than she had ever wanted to be, even at her most rebellious. It hurt so she she stopped listening to the lyrics and protected her eardrums. If that wasn't enough the lights went out. Thankfully the music died down otherwise anyone near Poppy would have flanked by the shriek that followed. She panicked and tripped. Although she was padded up, hitting the ground felt anything but pleasant. In fact it hurt quite a bit. Enough to cause a tear trickle to run her face. Since she couldn't see where she was going if she got up, Poppy remained on the ground whimpering. Then she heard Theresa call out to her. "I-I'm, I'm over here." Her voice was heading in the wrong direction, and she heard her talk as if to somebody else. "Theresa!" Poppy cried out in a high pitched wail. "I don't want to do this anymore..." Whether this was a regular occurrence or not, it didn't matter. All she wanted was to get out of this place. Lights or no lights, it was all too much for her.

Karlie Davis

Who the heck is this metal guy? Karlie didn't have any reason to dislike him, other than that he was totally raining on her parade. How the heck am I going to drive if I can't see... damn everyone's going along with it. Right now she was a headstrong race car driver, but she wasn't stupid. If she couldn't see where she was going she'd run the risk of hurting herself. Damage reduction made it so she wouldn't kill herself, though that didn't mean slamming into the wall would be fun. Then of course there was the chance she'd run somebody down while they were unaware. That could end up being even worse. Reluctantly she stood by with the others who were waiting to rush. Which team she got put on was irrelevant. Valjean was back, and actually doing something useful for a change. Everyone else she could deal with, so far.

Vespera Spindel

This game of capture the flag was sure out to be quite the display, and an opportunity. More so than power training. Seemed just about everyone was participating, which meant it was to observe and take note of abilities and tactics. Vespera was thwarted in her attempts when the metal doctor she had become acquainted with earlier sapped the electricity from the arena, thus cutting the lighting. Normally this wouldn't have bothered her, but that was when she was in the arena. The viewing platform was on it's own grid, so her eyes didn't adjust whatsoever. Instead the pane became a refractive wall of black. All she could see were the teachers, and the woman who had showed up with Tetsuya. This wasn't going to do, and so Vespera decided to make a large display of her power than she normally did outside of combat. Only because most of the peopled she cared about seeing were inside the proving grounds themselves. The glow in her eyes flared slightly as midnight strands formed before her finger tips. They came together forming a black viewing booth up against the glass. Inside it was just as unlit as the arena, which with her darkvision would allow her to spectate once more. Before she entered Vespera beckoned absentmindedly in case anyone else was just dying to see what was going on. Granted that they had eyes sensitive enough for them benefit. Perhaps Ms.Raven, or if this newcomer cared for her fury companion. As verbal bait she deliberately mentioned his name in her invitation to her. "You wouldn't want to miss out on how Tetsuya is doing, would you?" With that the solidified shadows parted like a curtain as she walked through them. The question was whether she was the type that would be so quick to follow a stranger into a gloomy booth at either the offer of better viewing, or the fact that she once knew the pandaman.

Atticus Fowler
Atticus had taken up a place away from the very center of the field, closer to its edge by a wall, where he had begun to patiently wait for someone to arrive near him; speculating on all the things he saw in the distance, as well as what he heard. He heard someone scream angrily at Team One, but though he normally considered himself more empathetic, he found it amusing that any person would be so melodramatic. He heard a girl crying that she didn’t want to keep up in the exercise, and felt a bit of sympathy; aware that being trapped in the dark with monsters hidden in it was scary. He then, however, heard the roar of a conquering adversary, and immediately recognized it as something marking victory. He felt the spines on his back twitch, and knew that two shapes were approaching him, seemingly from the wall towards his side.

Atticus didn’t have to change position to look at them, because of his vision’s scope, and so it was that he knew it was Jaska and the girl from earlier who also possessed fire powers, Ella. He inclined his head slightly, so as to let them know he saw them, “Jaska, what happened?” He asked, concern in his voice. He didn’t have the flag, which meant that roar he had heard just know…the panda guy, what was it, Tetsuya? The only other person who could roar like that would have been Henry. “Are you alright?” he asked, as he began to move along the wall with them, wary of anything that might approach. He would see foes long before they got near him. He got the impression Jaska had been stopped by a strong defense; just how powerful was this opponent, to release a roar like that?

Paige Wilson

Paige didn't stop when the lights went out, she'd seen the tunnel ahead and knew it was clear, at least up to the first bend, so it was there that she finally slowed, placing a hand against the wall to guide herself. She didn't stop though, even with the darkness twisting her gut into knots and dredging up all the memories of that cold metal room in Harry's basement. She refused to let herself stop, refused to curl into a tight ball on the floor and let him win. She was stronger than that. Stronger than he ever gave her credit for. She knew that now, thanks to Steven, and she'd be damned if she was going to give in just because some asshole decided to fuck with the lights. So she kept moving, past the halfway point now and making progress toward the other team's base inside the wall.

That was when the electricity hit. She yelped and jerked her hand back, for all the good it would do her now, as the current coursed through her body and she felt that same energized surge in her muscles. Like adrenaline only better. Much, much better. Maybe that was why they'd given her a suit with no insular properties. Everyone else seemed to have one tailored to their strengths, so why would they give her one that conducts energy like nobody's business unless she could somehow use that energy? They had to know more about her power than they'd told her already, and she'd have to find one of the staff later and ask what the hell the big idea was. That or just figure this shit out as she went along.

When she saw light coming through one of the doorways ahead, deep red light with a sickly green tinge, she darted forward and peeked around the frame to find two girls moving toward the center section of the field, one whose hands glowed red and another whose entire body was emanating green. Thankfully neither one was bright enough to ruin the nightvision she'd managed to develop since the lights went out, and she slipped past the door and kept moving down the tunnel. If the arrangement on this side was anything like the one on hers, she could exit the wall behind the enemy base and hopefully scale the bunker to the second floor, attacking the flag itself from above. She wasn't sure how much use that plan would be if they had a powerhouse inside the flag room itself, but it was the best idea she'd been able to come up with on short notice.

She ignored the roar that emenated from the side her own base was on, as well as the one that followed. They must have gotten someone across, but there's nothing I can do about it now. Hopefully the others managed to make it back off. It only vaguely occurred to her that the roar might have come from one of her teammates. She hadn't had much time to familiarize herself with all the names, and hadn't seen which side everyone had moved to before things started. Regardless, it didn't matter now. She was already most of the way to the other side and going back now would just put her own team behind.

Gabriela Mya Valos.

"... Oooooh, shit, Metal Man!" Gabe said, obviously impressed by Peter's electric show. She didn't know what he was even trying to do (Probably shock someone)... Until the joyest rain came! Not just any rain. A rain of exploded insects! All. Over. Gabe's. Hair. Fucking Metal man. Fuck him for this shit. She's going to be getting bits and pieces of bugs out of her hair for weeks! Ugh, stick to this weirdo's plan... Gabe was going to ignore the bugs, because it was that or . ".... Well battle buddy..." Gabe looked annoyed for a moment, still pretty pissed off about the bugs. "... It's shooooooowtiiiiime!" Gabe loudly said with a dramatic flare. Gabe's hand latched onto Alex's wrist, her other hand was glowing brightly enough for Gabe to see. Because there's no way in high fuck she's going to be running out there while Alex has her thumb firmly lodged up her own ass. Peter said distract them, create a presence that just gets their attention, which is what they can do. Her favorite strategy! Since subtlety was something that never dawned upon her. She immediately rushed onto the field - Everyone better not be fuckin' 'round! I'm serious! - straight down the middle like ol' Pete said! Her hands were the brightest thing in the room. Alex better not screw the pooch here, because the chick has the same role as Gabe (Begrudgingly). The second Gabe made center field, she pushed Alex in front of her.

Just when she saw some people in the distance, that confusion plan Peter is certainly working. Perfect. "Alright, Alex, better get started now, dunno what you can do, but don't be useless. I'll use you as a shield." The lights around her hands intensified. She pointed both hands forward. Gabe randomly fired lasers at the enemy team. These lasers were solid, but small and low energy. That way, she lowered the risk of burning herself as she shoots lasers, and still has plenty of ammunition for when the real fight begins - Or when Evan shows up. Every laser she fired traveled at the speed of light, and basically hit the other side of the arena instantly. Each laser illuminated the area well, being eye burningly bright tends to do that. Though, she kinda lost her own ability to see. All she saw was red. But she was certain that she was going off so much sheer light, that no one else would be able to see.

Deborah Termellio, Jake Valos, & Shannon Balore.

"Whoa!" Shannon exclaimed.

"Oh, damn!" Jake said with a smirk, forcing himself to clap a bit.

It turns out that Metal-man is capable of some pretty fancy stuff here. They didn't have a clue what he was doing, but it looked cool! The floor lite up like a rave, and there was all this sparkling.... and what the hell is falling on them? Jake and Shannon brushed off roasted insects. Wait, wait, wait?! This big metal fucker didn't tell them that he was going to play bug zapper. Now they have cooked bugs falling all over them!

"Oh god dammit!" Shannon vehemently hissed through her teeth as she desperately brushed the bugs off of her. She was a woman of fashion and good looks, she put so much work into this suit, and here he comes and gets it covered in bugs. At least he could have warned them, and give her the chance to make an umbrella or something. But noooooo, that was too hard, now was it? Worst of all, some of the bugs were starting to get into her hair. Which was a huge problem since it was so long and wavy. Plenty of them were getting stuck. Shannon was making angier noises than before. Grunting, hissing, all the way. Shannon looked up at Peter for a second, moving her lips- as if she was going to say something then backed out of it.

Thank god they didn't let Jake wear his suit in here. He didn't notice it at first, but the moment he did, he immediately took off his glasses and used his arms to cover them. Totally forgetting her could create an illusory umbrella to keep himself insect free. But, it was such a surprise that he barely even thought about it. Jake wasn't as annoyed as Shannon was, well he would have liked it if Peter announced his plan, but beggars can't be choosers.

"Oh my god! Why didn't I realize that?!?" Deborah said, smacking her own forehead. The moment that the bugs started falling, Deborah's power connected the dots (The insects were enthralled, spying on your team, Peter was acting to eliminate them). It was a problem, and Peter corrected it. Hell, Deborah wouldn't have noticed since she would have to observe it for a few moments before the information even came to her. At this point, the realization that she slipped up outweighed the bugs landing on her (It's all good, she can brush them off). Wait, that means the plan...? Crap. Gabe and Alex were already rushing ahead, the Pincer Maneuver, and they were still standing here. Peter stepped down, so that meant it was time for Deborah to step up. Alright, she remembers his instructions (Form two groups, one on each side, and flank whoever) to the last detail. Time to just put it all in motion.

Well, Deborah was never the military commander, but hey, maybe a bit of Peter might have rubbed off on her. Since no one else was taking the initiative, it was her choice. She barked orders at the group, "Kristen-" She figured that it would be best if Kristen sticks with her. Promise and all. "-Karlie, Aislin, you're with me, we're taking the left side." It wasn't like they had a lot of offensive potential, but Deborah had other plans, specifically involving Kristen and her pheromones.

"Shannon, Jake, Lynn, Red, Atti-" Aw, what is it now? Fishboy is going for Jaska and Ella? And they don't have the flag? Deborah facepalmed. Whatever. They better have some sort of plan. But Deborah continued, "-you guys go take the other side." Deborah started going for the left-field.

"You got it!" Both Shannon and Jake say at the same time as they lead their team to the other side.

In any case, team two's defense might not be that solid. So, they could just push into the enemy base and grab the flag.

Improvisation from here on out, eh?

Valjean Vaseal.

What? This dyke thinks he needs help? Pttf. All you have to do is stand there and not be completely useless, don't try to be help me, dykey.  Well, this match has been boring so far. No one wanted to tangle with the fucking Desert Scorpion. Whatever. Maybe he'll entertain himself a bit... Everyone's going with the Full Metal Asshole's plan, and that should have been him on those frontlines. Kicking ass, and taking names! But, Debby said he should defend, and that's just what he's going to do. Valjean shrugged. He had extended his desert until it covered the entirety of the base. The area was currently unbearably hot, anyone without a resistance to heat would succuum to exhaustion after some time. Valjean? Heh, he was made for this baby! No matter how hot a desert gets, he'll be just fine. Quinn was just chilling at the edge of the desert, saying something about feeling 'warm and fuzzy' inside. Fucking weird, but that wasn't what was important here. She was just in the perfect position for a little prank of his... Warm sand getting shot up her genitals was not going to be a good sensation. She wouldn't see it coming (Darkness and all), but Valjean moved some sand around Quinn, then made it quickly go up her pants leg. Shooting right at her crotch. He didn't know that she was intersex, but he figured she was girl enough to be gravely inconvenienced by sand down there. "Whoops!" If Valjean didn't have the face of a scorpion (Which can't really move), he would be flashing Quinn the cheekiest grin ever. Whatever, he was going to let his body convey the message. "Looks like I can move sand just fine!"

Valjean was too busy fucking around to notice Paige creeping towards his flag.

Theresa Sindel Obott.

Aw, crap. Poppy was going into hysterics, then Dana and Henry were gone. That meant that Tess had to handle Poppy all on her own. Well, shit, it was getting pretty heated in here too. Bugs were falling down, electricity was sparking, and Tess literally had no idea what's going on. Poppy was shouting out, her voice cracked... Ah, crap. That didn't do too much good for Tess's mood. But that was enough to track her. "Hey, there, it's okay." She walked up to Poppy, and tried to assure her, but she didn't think that it was enough. Well, there was one way to calm her down a bit. She pulled that gas mask back a bit, and stuck a finger into her mouth, getting a little bit of spit on her finger tip. Poppy (Or anyone else) wouldn't see it, darkness and all. It's only a little bit. Tess tried to tell herself, as she embraced Poppy, grabbing her for a hug. That finger touched the back of the girl's neck. It would only be a very small dose. She would feeling a little better, a little body-wide pleasure, minor sedation, and so on - Probably not any noticeable hallucinations (Even if she did, they'd be small and noticeable). Hopefully not enough to realize that she's been drugged, and chalk it up to the power of friendship!

This would probably end horribly.

Nikki Biyung.

"Wait..." Nikki wondered what was going on for a second, before it happened. All of the hundreds of insects she had created were killed in one fell swoop. It was obviously from electricity (All that electricity-cracking tends to do that). They all rained around her.... She received a massive mental shock. A massive headache, a pain like no other, her thoughts were erratic, she couldn't focus. She has been dedicating so much mental power to controlling them that their sudden deaths caused a mental backlash. One she has felt time and time before. After a few agonizing seconds, it finally stopped. It took her a moment or two to readjust herself. Jesus, Nikki could barely process what the hell just happened. Even after it wore off... The sudden death of all the insects she couldn't think straight. Still, everything was. Like, what exactly was going on? A roar had pierced her hearing, but. Was it a signal or...? Jesus, Nikki could barely process anything. "God, dammit!" Nikki hissed through her teeth. This was aggravating. In one fell swoop, everything Nikki had was taken from her and she was rendered useless. That made her angry as all hell. Anger mixed with a mental sluggishness was not a good combination. But, seriously? Were her team hellbent on making sure they lose? Nobody was doing jackshit. Actually, everyone had a thumb firmly wedged up their ass, while all the people who want to contribute (Herself) were getting screwed over-

Know what? Know whaaaaat...?

It was about time that Nikki goes into wallflower mode and finds a nice corner to hide in for the rest of the match. Honestly, she was so pumped for this, felt like she could really be herself, but all of her expectations were dashed away. Perhaps she should just sit this one out, at least until her head gets back to normal. She wasn't useful to the team anymore without her swarm to assist. There was already absolute darkness... Nikki just found a corner and curled up.

Waiting for this to end.

Sylvia Lana Bertoose.

Huh? The crackling electricity was what filled Sylvia's vision - Not her traditional vision, Sylvia saw the soundwaves that were traveling through the room, just for a brief moment, then they were gone. It would have been fun to watch later, but the tingling inside of her made her forget that she was supposed to be screwing with the chucklefuck. She stopped raising the volume of her footsteps, he wasn't moving anyway, it wouldn't be heard unless she amplified his heartbeat or something - But it looked like someone was calling him out for his shit. Good. Because he was heating the wrong side. Jesus, it wast getting bright over here too. This was getting really uncomfortable for Sylvia, but she did notice that Gabe and some other chick was rushing onto the field. Good. Well, it was time that Sylvia hangs up the hat and just lets things take their place. Honestly, the team was destined to lose (And it was probably her fault to begin with) and they should just throw themselves down on the ground and give like little obedient pups.

That said, Sylvia found a nice little wall to climb up on, away from all the lasers and heat and bright legs. She let one leg idly swing while putting one over the other. She closed her eyes as she looked into her iPod for a fitting song to play. Oh! Savoy! Just the right blend of dubstep and techno.

Sylvia raised the volume a bit so everyone could hear. But, ultimately she had no intentions of fighting, just chilling here.

Quinn Davies
The young woman disappeared into her own mind and didn't really notice the sand until it touched her crotch. She looked down and frowned, "Please, stop. I'd rather not have scratches on my dick. Thank you." she said before she pushed her palm down. The sand seemed to reverse itself out of her pants thanks to her own power of manipulating the energy of movement by amplifying the movement of her palm. She pivoted, set her feet then shot a rock from her rail. Her energy swirled along the path the rock took along her arm before she amplified and accelerated the rock towards the flag. The rock would hit dead on the flag, and shatter into many pieces from the sudden stop.

Star Lord

Alex chose not to say anything about the scissor comment, at the moment she was still being baffled by the fact she would be openly using her powers against other students, or at least at other students. That was something Alex was clearly not confident in, but she tried to keep a positive attitude. That was one thing she was really good at. Think positive. Suddenly the game didn't seem so bad, and Alex allowed herself a smile as Peter displayed his powers by destroying the bugs flying around the air. Her glow seemed to her brighter as she allowed herself to hold some confidence. She had to prove herself useful not only to her teammates, but herself as well.

"You got it chief!" Alex said when Gabe grabbed her wrist. "I'll follow your lead!" The two of them began to run down the center of the playing field, being a bright and flashy distraction. Alex looked over towards Gabe, watching what she was doing. Lasers, that's fun. Alex took a deep breath, ready to steady herself as to not hurt anyone. She had to keep from going too far. In a way, this was a good thing. The only way to get better at something was to try.

As Gabe fired her lasers off in random directions, Alex began to do the same with her own powers. Alex gripped her own wrist, holding her arm out like a gun, and began to fire off bright beams of some sort. The beams came in short bursts, as if shooting out balls of swirling and bright stars. As the projectiles shot out the area around them was illuminated, and the dissipated when they hit a wall. Alex held back the urge to shout out some cheesy catchphrase or say Pew Pew in some scfi style effect. She looked over towards her teams base, only hoping Lynn thought her power was cool.

Annabella Ravencroft & Asae Kyuuji

Asae looked towards Annabella when the lights went off, making Bell stand up and walk over crossing her arms and standing next to Adam "Should we intervene if this gets out of hand?" she looked over to Adam, to which she could never guess the guys emotion. He was most likely scary as hell, but she still could never guess it. It must have been a pain to have him as a father, though Amanda seemed to handle herself more or less, as well as make a scene whenever possible. Asae stood next to Bell, the light from the room, made the dark arena, unadjustable able to her eyes, the whole damn thing was dark.

"Is this suppose to be happening?" Asae looked at Bell shrugged, looking back at the field and noticing splotches of bright flashing lights, most likely the fire and energy based kids using their powers. Whoever had cut the lights were smart for doing that, because most of them couldn't see in the dark, very smart plan, though a double edge sword as well Annabella had half the mind to go into the room and get a better view of the arena. Though another girl had looked back at her, Verspera. She hadn't really talked to the girl all that much for how long she's been here, which was longer than her in truth. But it was her power that was the most interesting, to her at least, because it was more than helpful for Annabella. Hell you could say the two would make a mean team, considering how much Bell's power relied on the dark and the girl herself was a living darkness generator so to speak. She was however...very werey of the girl, she gave off a presence like that of a predator playing with their food before they killed it.

"I'm going to guess no, but the plan was smart, I'll give it that" Annabella shook her head in agreement to herself. Asae saw another girl up there with them, though she slipped into a dark looking like small room or booth. When she heard the word Tetsuya, she looked at the girl I don't think we talked to this one...keep yourself in check... as if Tetsuya was in her head almost. She picked up her box by the strap and cautiously walked towards the booth, parting the curtain and walking in. Asae looked around in the dark room "I'm afraid I didn't quite catch your name, nor the fact that you know Tetsuya's name. Did you know him when he went to this school?" she turned around and looked at the girl who was looking at the Arena again. She was much taller than Asae, much much taller. Her hair was black with red...highlights, though the girls eyes were red, meaning those could very much be apart of her natural hair color. Over the girl could have been considered a goth if she weren't going to the academy, to Asae she just looked like a cool as fuck demon child.

Ella Seizu

Jaska left her, after making such a statement that sent a chill down her spine "Wait Jaska! Dont go off by yourse-" it was to late. She heard a small skirmish lower than her on the ground level. Followed by Jaska suddenly setting himself on fire, and then she saw him. A giant lizard man, much like the gentle looking panda dude with the scars, but this guy looked like he was a predator. "Holy fuck, holy fuck holy fuck!" She saw Jaska break free from his grip, jumping up onto the wall and grab her hand in the darkness, instantly marking her light up in reaction "OH FUCK! oh...jesus Jaska, what in the hell was that dude!" he pulled her along, before long they ran into a team mate, her out of breath and hunched over "GODZILLA JUST ATTACKED HIM!" Ella looked to the kid addressing Jaska "God...Zilla, Lizard-man, however you wanna interpret that, but he's down that way, so fu-" She looked at Jaska "screw that way. Flag retrieving is a no go, hells to the no, I'm sorry Jaska, but that guy looked like he could have ate you if he wanted to" She looked at him slightly bewildered. Any other time she would have been calm, but between seeing that shit in the dark, and then seeing him grab Jaska, who had singed clothes now. She is most definitely stay out of that guy's way, he scared the hell out of Ella.

Cordelia Lynn Holmes

If you ever want to truly learn about someone, fight them. The visceral rush of kill-or-be-killed, the routines of adrenaline junkies, reveal quite a bit about one's character. There were the Amandas and Sylvias, charging headlong into battle, the Peters, reacting with cold logic and strategy, and the Nikkis, going fetal and hiding away.

There were also the Cordelia Lynns. As the alarm blared, Cordelia didn't flinch, she merely lazily flicked her eyes up and began to ready herself. It was a strange looking ritual, one of gently shaking her legs and arms. Lynn stretched out her arms casually, flinging them to her back, grasping her hands and rolling out, then back in, cracking her neck to one side then the other. All the while, her features were calm, eyes closed and muscles relaxed. She was getting in the zone, finding her chi, readying to kick some ass. Lynn's style of fighting was a bastardization of the others around her. There was the part of her that had taken more punches and dished out more than most of the kids here, the part that was hungering for battle and longing for a chance to snap Morticia's spine like a toothpick, the part that watched the luminescent Alex, eyes flickering for any would-be attackers. The heat of that part of her, however, had been tempered by a great many street fights, to the point that she threw out no trash talk, gave no furious shouts. She merely ran through her list of possibilities, probabilities, and gathered herself. The lights around her extinguished and Lynn's shadow seemed to fill the absence, growing and stretching. And, one tiny part of her, it curled up and hid away, deep inside herself, to wake back up when the bloodshed was over.

Peter hit the ground a split second after Lynn's shadow, moving at speeds humans could not reliably visualize, lifted her up off the ground. She reacted to this, albeit just barely-there was a look of surprise followed quickly by practiced acceptance-she and her shadow, they worked, fought, bled in tandem. They moved in more-or-less perfect rhythm, and any action that seemed erratic to the other was quickly understood a moment or two later. As the entire arena burned with lightning, Lynn was spared the tingle of electricity, the current washing harmlessly over the shadow's immaterial feet. "Thanks," she murmured, her arms clinging around the shadow's neck princess-style. The shadow nodded its head, perhaps said a word of silent encouragement, and eased her back down. It collapsed to the ground, resuming its post as a normal, two-dimensional shadow.

Eh? Nightlight and the roomie had run off. "Tin Man," Lynn barked. "I'm the battle buddy you mentioned. I'll watch Gabe and Alex." without giving Iron Man a chance to shoot down or approve this, she took off at a steady jog after the two, who were easily tracked with the light they were giving off. All in all, this was a pretty solid strategy. Lynn had pride, but she knew when to bend it. She was cool yielding to Dick Cocks, who apparently had spec ops training or some shit, because he was throwing around a bunch of crazy terms. At first, Lynn had thought pincer formation meant the scorpion guy, but then she realized it was, like, a metaphor. They were all the pincer. Click-click-clack.

Lynn caught up to Alex and Gabe fairly quickly, but not too quickly-rope-a-dope, that was the name of the game. There were a lot of fuckers here who were going to go full throttle and burn out fast. Lynn didn't have the raw physical power to match anyone here (but the guardian angel that trailed behind her, silently watching for danger...?), and although her senses were improved in the shadows, the harsh light Gabe was giving off kept interrupting her abilities. No sense tripping and spraining an ankle on the first day. No sense at all.

Another interesting side effect of Lynn's ability was the somewhat reckless nature in which she was able to move. While Lynn was cautious and controlled, she was simultaneously able to throw everything into her attacks and movements-there was a safety net waiting for her. It was similar to a high ropes course-up to a certain point, your body's still too afraid of heights to successfully tiptoe across the wire. Once your higher processes manage to convince your lower glands that, hey, your ass ain't going anywhere, shimmying across is much easier.

And Lynn's higher processes had a couple years to make their case.

"Easy, it's Lynn," Lynn announced as she moved up behind them. Just common sense to announce your presence as a friendly when running up to two rather dangerous individuals, in the dark. Her voice was low and soft, audible over the lasers but only just. I'll be playing bodyguard for you two." Lynn gave Alex a firm clap on the shoulder and a reassuring nod. "Don't worry, Mary Poppins. I gotcha."

Poppy Flanagan

The moment Theresa responded, Poppy tired to get a hold of herself. Or a better hold of herself. There was no way she was going to be comfortable until this awful 'game' was over. Even now there was plenty of commotion going on across the playing field. Especially the bright flashes from those with energy powers. Since they weren't nearby all they did was make it difficult to get accustomed to the dark, not that it'd help her all that much. She might have been able to see her roommate though. "Theresa? That you?..." she choked. Her words were cut off by an unexpected embrace, one that she didn't fight in her current state. Afterwards it would surely be awkward, but in the moment it was calming. Then she felt something she was sure she wasn't supposed to feel. My neck, it's wet... What the heck was going on If it came from Theresa it was something she wasn't looking for from her, or anyone. That also begged the question of what exactly it was, and why.

"Wha-" Poppy pulled away for a moment then relaxed. The world around her lost it's edge, her frazzled nerves took a rest. Even time itself seemed to be moving slower, which would have been a bad thing moments ago. However she now found that she was enjoying herself. It felt nice. Theresa's warning about feeling funny didn't click with her right now. "I feel different." She shifted her weight and felt something crunch underneath her. Feeling around on the floor curiously there were many more. Had she a normal mentality she would have freaked out, but right now everything was so interesting to her. Poppy got up a little shakily, then she stomped her feet in place feeling the pops and cracks underfoot. "Hey, what's all this crunchy stuff?" she asked in slightly nasally tone. Then she clomped her feet again and giggled. Unbeknownst to her they were insects, and her hair was full of them too. "Is capture the flag over? Maybe if I find out what my power is I can play next time... Where's Adam?" She remembered they were going to see him after class. "They should turn the lights on already."

Karlie Davis

This was the moment Karlie had been waiting for, except she wasn't exactly sure what good grouping up was going to do for her. If she were to use her ability even a little bit she would blow past Deborah and this other girl. Speaking of which, there was something up with her. She could barely see her in the dark, yet she wanted to get friendly with her. Kristen's pheromones amplified her natural tendency, so she didn't question it herself. One moment she was half considering taking the lead, the next she was content to go at whatever pace she was going. "So what's the game plan? Is Kristen our secret weapon or something?" When it came to Deborah she was thinking the same as usual. We won't be getting the flag with her power... but she must know what she's doing. There was the possibility that this plan hinged on her ability too. That prospect made Karlie equally excited. What would be better yet though is if it somehow involved both of them. If I could grab the flag it would be awfully hard to stop me... Maybe rather than charging there she would on the return trip.

Vespera Spindel

As she felt the vibrations from footsteps getting closer Vespera's lip curled. Not only had the new comer accepted her invitation, the game of capture the flag was turning out to be a bigger spectacle than she had anticipated. Valjean was doing his thing, nothing to see there. The one eyed chick from earlier was getting it on with flashlight girl using bright red lasers. If their displays of light were used to show affection she'd say they were quite intimate. Chihuahua was running over to them. Nothing significance from her observations. Yet. She gnashed the inner workings of her mouth in an inhuman fashion, but ceased once her company arrived. "Forgive me for not making proper introductions, I wanted to make viewing accommodations as soon as possible. I'm Vespera." She gave a few moments for the name to sink in, and so she could briefly turn her full attention to the proceedings bellow. Something littered the floor, but she couldn't tell what. Two more bestial meta's. One looks to be aquatic, the other has a something growing out of it's back. Their threat levels would have to be accessed in person. Those who she knew well or weren't visibly displaying anything were paid little heed.

"That's good intuition. I have attended this academy for most my life. Certainly make's a good safe haven for those who can't fit in with society. Which is why I was surprised when Tetsuya left, even more so now that he's back." She wasn't going to ask directly, but she was very much interested in the reasoning behind his return. This morsel he'd brought with him made it all the intriguing to her. Of course she was going to treat her with respect, until there was reason to do otherwise. Many people automatically got off on the wrong foot with simply because of appearances. Considering that was not the case, in fact she deemed it quite bold her to have follow her into her makeshift lair. "And who might you be?" Vespera turned towards her as a courtesy, then she fixated her gaze once more on the playthings beneath.

Codi Bailey

When Codi was waiting in the flag room, she became aware of noise inside of it; which did not come from her own person. She didn’t know if it was her own team member, or someone from the enemy team, in the latter case, it was a mystery how the person got there. Regardless, she had warned her own team members that she lacked night vision, and therefore she would not be able to distinguish friend from foe once the lights went out. She had made up her mind once the warning was given that she would attack anyone who entered, seeing as that it made no sense for her own team to be in their flag room unless they were defending. She wasn’t the only defender, but she was the best in the flag room where people couldn’t see her, just as she couldn’t see them. It was to her advantage for people to try to attack her and then find that her defense not only protected her, but also did harm to assailants.

It was this logic that Codi immediately turned towards the stranger, and commanded Reef to swing one of its thick, bony arms at the threat. She doubted that if this person lacked night vision, they would have any indication except for the sound of the arm whirring through the air, moments before it connected; and even if it did not land a blow, a second followed close behind, at a lower angle. Codi sent yet another arm coming from the other side, for good measure. She had six of these arms, all with a very wide range around her, and when swung at full force, they could produce cracks or dents in stone or metal. Codi intended to use all of them, as she stepped forward right next to the flag, unsheathing syringe-like claws in her hands hidden under regular nails, and kneeling down so that it would be exceedingly dangerous to approach.

As the three blows connected, whether with a person, or with surrounding scenery, Codi opted against saying anything at all. Don’t give the intruder any hint as to where the blows came from.
