Rumors and Legends are often born of greed, and for four countries waging in war, greed can lead to dangerous things.
A gift born of the brutal wars fought for domination of the world of Remnant. What is this gift you ask? From the poorest peasant to the richest businessman, not a soul knows what exactly it is. It does have a name however, but whatever it does is still up to mystery. The Harbinger Relic, an item currently searched for by the entiriety of Remnant. Whatever the Relic does is up to your imagination; the item could grant you one wish, it could also grant you eternal life. Perhaps even make you the ruler of the world.

Four Kingdoms currently fight for what they believe is rightfully theirs. Vale, Mistral, Atlas, and Vacuo all search for what is rumored to be a powerful item that could speak the fate of Remnant. Even while Grimm, beasts born of darkness, ravage countrysides and destroy towns, everyone still looks for The Harbinger Relic. Huntsmen and Huntresses are sent out to scour the globe. What are the Hunters you might ask? Why, only Humanity's best and brightest. Either people given a gift from birth, or simply having extreme talent, a Hunter's role is to hunt.

Of course, Grimm aren't the only thing on the menu nowadays. Instead of being sent to aid the people, Hunters are merely used as dogs to find this rumored gift. All the while this bloody search goes on, the forces of darkness gather and collect, looking to finally bring an end to Humanity.

Welcome to this brand new RP Co-GMed by yours truly and GMed by Arkenov. Now you might be asking, what the heck is the plot? Or even, why the hell did you drag me in here, Beo? Don't fret, as all will be revealed soon.

This RP is about four groups of Huntsmen and Huntresses. Each group belongs to each of the countries, all of them sent for one goal. Find The Harbinger Relic and try not to lose it to one of the other teams. Sounds simple, eh? Well... it kind of is. Still, things won't go exactly as you might expect. You'll come across the Grimm, Mercenaries seeking the Relic for themselves, Faunus revolution groups, and other nasty sorts of people. You also have to worry about the other teams, whether you decide to work together or fight to the death is up to you.

Rules:
1. Arke and I are the Gods of this realm, however, that does not mean we simply act benevolently. Our godly actions will have less of a picture and less of an impact as well. If you decide to break any rules, though, we might decide to throw a pack of Beowulves at you, or even a lighting strike.
2. Respect one another. We don't wanna see any fighting amongst OOC chat or anything. No God Modding or taking control of another character unless they give you permission first.
3. Tell us if you're going to be leaving or quitting. We want you guys to be responsible and active. If you have a vacation to go on, tell either I or Arkenov, and we'll get it settled. Of course, since I know all of you personally, it might be a bit difficult for you to just vanish.
4. Try to keep active on the OOC. I know most of us have Steam or what not, but simply asking everyone how their day is going is more than enough to keep it all running smoothly.
5. Lastly, we're trying to have fun. Speak up if you think we're going against this rule, as you all have the right to tell your thoughts. I don't want to do something I think is perfectly fine to have others get bored and irritated or anything.

Boy, I Love The Color Red. Aurellius' ability is more of a support ability than others. His weapon rips things to shreds, causing his enemies to pump out their glorious colored life juices. Any target that Aurellius successfully manages to hit will bleed quickly, splattering the grand color everywhere and allowing him to easily locate wounded targets in battle, as their blood glows bright to him. Don't try to escape, because he WILL find you. Of course, the ability doesn't do much else other than help him track the enemy. Pretty boring as most Semblance's go, but Aurellius uses his own skill, not some magic skill that allows him to instantly destroy whoever he comes across. He can do that with his own hands. He doesn't need help.

Weapon:

Aurellius' weapon is a little bit... over the top, some might say. His weapon, Ascalon, has two functions. One, is a piercing lance form, deadly against single targets. Its other form is a rapid fire mini-gun that fires off Dust-infused bullets. Of course, since his weapon is so large, Aurellius has a hard time carrying around the damn thing. Couldn't development had made it a little more light weight? To compensate for his rather slow speed while firing and charging, Aurellius bears a large burden over his shoulders. The backpack is a bit of a mix between an ammo cache and a jet-pack, and is roughly the size of an Army pack. Of course, he can't fly or anything. That would just go against the laws of physics.

No, his jet-pack is for maneuverability. Jets placed all over the pack allow him to use the thrusters to dodge out of the way of an attack, or thrust forwards in his lance form for an attack. His weapon is developed by the grand and marvelous Bellum Manufacturer Co. Don't yell at the name, that wasn't his idea. Anyway, the weapon is focused less on speed and maneuverability than other weapons, but easily makes up for it in sheer power. His backpack can hold up to two thousand infused rounds, so he really has to stock up soon or he'll run out of ammo. His boosters also use Dust, and so have limited uses. Still, don't bash the Lance, as it is made from a specially designed alloy that allows it to pierce even the thickest of shells. And hey, lances don't run out of ammo. His mini-gun also has to spin up, and takes roughly four seconds.

Dust:
The bullets used inside the Ascalon are specially infused with Dust. Typically he uses Red Dust, as its properties are best for the explosives properties of ammunition. Of course, that doesn't mean he can't change it out once and a while for special ammo. The jet boosters on his pack also use Red Dust, so its rather easy to swap out if one is running low. Still, other than his weapon, Aurellius doesn't prefer to use Dust all that much.

Other Equipment:
Not much. A set of tools made for Ascalon so he can keep it clean and un-jammed. An extra suit, crisp and ready to be put on.

Skills & Abilities:
Most notable at first are Aurellius' combat skills. You really don't see many people proficient in a lance or a mini-gun, let alone both! Aurellius prefers to fill the air with lead and dust, to send his foes running for cover as he covers them with blankets. Made of bullets. Of course, that doesn't mean he isn't decent at melee combat, its quite the opposite! He uses his lance with great strength, thrusting forwards, and not giving his enemies any time to recover. (By the way, if you want to see how someone uses a freakin' lance in combat, just google 'Dark Souls 2 Lance PvP' and you'll be set. Running attacks, Ho!)

Still, he's not just a fighter, Aurellius was raised to be a businessman! A rather bloodthirsty businessman at that. You see, being the son of a weapons manufacturer means you have to learn a few things from Pappy. How to write files, how to manage a bunch of god damn Union-workers. Screw the Union, by the way. Hiring those filthy cats and rabbits is the cheapest way to do things! Yeah, their work ethic might not be the best, but the wages they ask for. By the Gods, only 40 Lin an hour? What are they, insane? Still, not like Aurellius or his father would pick anything else.

Description:
Aurellius is a rather handsome young man. With blonde hair, blue eyes, and a tall stature with broad shoulders, he would make a father proud just to look at him. Of course, not to mention his attire. Suits. Always suits. If you choose not to wear a suit, you're not worth the effort. A good tie and a good suit make any appearance just that much better. Don't expect to see Aurellius wearing much other than a suit, even in combat. Armor, even though the golds and reds might look nice, are just too bulky for Aurellius' already weighed down load. Other than that, Aurellius is best known for his wicked grin.


Personality:
Aurellius' personality is a bit skewed. He never really got much contact with other kids growing up, seeing as he had a private teacher ready for him when he was just a wee lad. Still, that doesn't mean he's a messed up loner. Aurellius is, well... slick. Businessmen have this chivalrous and charismatic sense of personality about them. Still, Aurellius is ruthless, and isn't afraid to leave behind anyone slowing the group down. He isn't fond of Faunus either. They're just sub-human weirdos, with god damn rabbit ears and cat tails. Its weird, and most don't look good in suits. Still, Aurellius is a little... compassionate of his friends, if you're lucky enough to survive long enough to become one. You're either a friend or just another person. That, or you're family. Family really isn't different from friends.

History:
Around the time of Aurellius' birth, the company Bellum Manufacturer Co. had been developed. Naturally, with those god damn Grimm on the rise, you couldn't say no to an offer like that. And thus, the weapons company had been born, and quickly began pumping out equipment and armor and weapons for anyone who was a fighter. Of course, Bellum doesn't really have much of a focus, more or less just pumping out the red and white simple weaponry that most people wanted. However, the R&D segment of the company was having a field day, making many weapons, such as Ascalon itself!

Aurellius, being the son of the head of the company, was raised from privilege at birth. Anything he could have needed was provided to him. A private teacher, hundreds of fancy toys to play with. Really the only thing he didn't get was a childhood. Not like that's a bad thing or anything. Aurellius would later thank his father for making him the adult he was. Instead of going out for high-school dances, Aurellius went to balls and parties. Politicians and Princes were his only contact with people for the most part. He was taught to think those under him were worth less, and thus he doesn't have many moral parties with firing any slackers or fuck-ups.

Seeing as his father ran a huge company with hundreds of weapons, why not teach your son how to use them? More private tutors, of course, these ones taught Aurellius how to fight. Until Ascalon had been created, Aurellius trained in a vast assortment of easily available weapons. Combat-scythes, gunknives, hammer-grenade launchers, spear-rifles. The whole lot of them. Hell, even a few massive cannons. You don't know heavy until you lug one of those around.

After Ascalon had finally been developed, his father had finally thought to enroll Aurellius into Beacon Academy. And you might know how that went. Pretty successful, he might say. Well grades, a good team. Of course, when he signed up, he wasn't really expecting to look for some stupid trinket that might not even be real.

Skills & Abilities: Yoko is quite fast on her own, but fairly weak. She uses her fast thinking to solve problems in the best way possible. Yoko has the ability to do a small amount of flips before becoming over-exerted.

Description: Yoko is around 5”1 and around 97 pounds. She has long, messy, dark brown hair in a ponytail with long bangs. Yoko’s dark brown eyes seem to blend into her bangs. She has small hands, feet, and chest, being, in general, small and slim.

Personality: Yoko is somewhat shy, not wanting to talk unless approached. She acts feminine, preferring to wear dresses and pink.

History: Yoko grew up in a poor family, hardly heaving enough to eat most of the time. With the little money her parents had, they always pressed her to study. She somehow lived long enough to become the most intelligent person in her family line. Yoko never was popular, being alone most of the time. She ended up relying on herself most of the time. On a dark night as Yoko was walking down an alley, she found an odd case against a dumpster. When she opened it, she found a rusty pistol and broken rifle. Yoko asked her brother, Hajime, to help her fix the guns after a while of trying on her own. Inside there was also a note about a relic. Whatever this relic is, it could be just what her family needs, right?

Weapon:
Her weapon, Gale, is both two small machetes and a bow. How this works is the two machetes share connecting joint at their hilts. Though they're a bit heavy to be regular knives, they're well balanced to allow for an easier time both parrying and throwing them. This allows them to be somewhat deadly at close and medium ranges. Its true power shows in its ability to turn from those machetes into a bow which fires arrows that can release or make use of dust. That can cause the arrows to be far deadlier, as it could possibly be a hail of dust as opposed to a basic arrow. (Hawk Eye would be jelly)

Description:
Nicoleta has an average stature for most women, roughly 5'8" and carries a curious look. She's pretty nimbly built, not exactly prepared for front line combat, but able to slip away before anyone notices any different. Her long brown hair comes down to her chest, and her eyes sparkle with a red-ish color. She has fox-like ears in addition to her regular human ears.

Personality: Nicoleta isn't very shy, however she's always trying to see new things and find new experiences. Her ambition reflects that of an explorer, and she hopes to one day have felt that she has seen more than anyone else has. This gives her a very forgiving attitude, and a flexible goal.

History: The faunus have never been free of the scowling faces that most humans carry, and the heavy burden that is put upon the Faunus people to blend into 'regular society.' Nicoleta's family has been in poverty for as long as she's known, and every faunus family around her, as well, for that matter. Stress has been laid time and time again at the Lupei family's doorstep every time tax from the war was put on them or the terrible jobs that were left behind for the faunus were lost. An answer appeared before many of the faunus's eyes, however, when the kingdom's army began to accept in a faunus infantry. This gave Nicoleta the chance she'd needed to try to gain money and bring back her family from the heavily recessed period they had experienced. She lost most of her friends in the first battle, the faunus recruits practically nothing but cannon fodder in the front lines, they stood next to no chance against the oppressing army.
The sky looked as if it were raining from hell, the heavy winds and rain ruining most spirits. Thunder cackled in the distance like a mischievous laugh, and Nicoleta found herself in the small cover of a tree, her eyes closed and her head bent down towards the ground. The only words that escaped her mouth were the same statement, over and over again. "Please no, please no, please no..." Her wavering voice battered on again and again through the downpour.
A voice spoke through the rain then, like bliss. "No what? What are you asking to stop?"
As she slowly looked up, a human came into view, a tall man whose blade nearly stuck into the ground behind him. Her mouth gaped slightly, in almost amazement, gold stripes covering the man's shoulder. He put out a hand to Nicoleta. "Come with me, Faunus. You're stronger than you think."
As she climbed to her feet with his help, the quite suddenly slammed a palm to her stomach, a mix of blue and orange aura lighting up around the two, something Nicoleta had never seen before. She yelped slightly, not expecting the action. "W-what did you do?"
"Your aura has been released. You'll find you've been blessed with more power than you thought." He turned away, waving for her to follow. "Now, let's leave this hell, I have an academy I'd like to show you."
Private Lupei became a student of Ser Isaac's School of Hunters, relieved of duty from the infantry. Instead, she became skilled in the art of sound manipulation and fighting. Her style, a form of martial fighting with use of sound displacement, became an illusive combo. She was sent on the mission to find the Harbinger Relic, not because of what she was, but because of who she was.

~Nickname: "Violet" is her moniker, due to her colors, though she prefers being called Aslin by those that know her. "Lin" by close friends.

~Nationality: SUBJECT TO CHANGE whenever I actually learn anything about their world. Or start watching season 2.

~Aura Colour: Dark Purple.

~Semblance: Darkness. Unfortunately, this doesn't mean she can sap the life out of people through their pores. It legitimately is just a control of light, where she has the ability to "absorb" light around here, the physics of which are rather strange. In practice, this means she has the ability to dim the area around her just by willing it. Not to a great extent; even if she tries her hardest, she'll still be brightly lit if someone shines a flashlight on her or in the middle of the day. But it is enough to make a mediocorely-lit room very dim, or a dim room pitch-black. In more open areas, it can make it look like she has a cloud of darkness around her, which can be useful more for intimidation than stealth. (A random shadow in the middle of an open field at noon is a bit obvious.) It also works as a sort of homeostasis field in that using the warms her up, as she not only steals light, she also steals warmth as well, which can cause chills to go down someone's spine if she gets near them while using this as she is literally making them colder. It's rather useful for staying warm despite wearing a skirt.

The area of effect is roughly a 6-7 feet radius from her center. She can make it shorter if she wishes. She is unable to do the effects in reverse, unfortunately, so she can't make herself glow or cool herself down/warm the air around her up. This means she prefers fighting in cooler environments.

EDIT: As of recent events, she now CAN absorb the life energy of someone through their pores. It's a lot less dangerous than it souds, however, and it actually involves aura rather than life energy. It requires skin-to-skin contact anyway, and is rather slow, so even if she got the drop on someone, she'd have to keep them in a wrestling hold to do any real damage with it, and that's assuming they're not wearing armor. More than likely, she'd get thrown off rather easily. It has the use of being able to absorb the last bits of aura of a dying man, or one that's captured. Or slowly killing someone while they sleep while leaving no evidence. As for why she never knew about this power? Rather simply, she had never been quite as injured before. Sure, she'd been injured during training, but never had her aura gotten so critically low as to require it. It should be noted that if she absorbs energy when she has a full aura it DOES overcharge her. In small doses, this leads to a nice cushion of aura should she get attacked as well as heightened physical abilities. In too large a dose, however, the extra aura actually would physically rot her insides due to the excess. (Not that she has any way of knowing any of this, however.)

~Weapon:
Modeled after a katana, her weapon she affectionately names "Blacksteel" is unfortunately entirely blade and has no gun-based elements. However, it has dust-based abilities. The exact nature of how dust is used will be covered in the next section, but what it does is that the dust can be used to either "enchant" the blade, or it can be used to send a wave of dust forward from a slash.

To elaborate, the first ability is activated by holding the red button on the hilt down. When it's held, the dust stored in the hilt transfers up onto the blade and coats it, using a sort of magnetism to hold the dust on the blade. This enhancement gives the blade a purple hue and lets it cut through even metal with ease, but overuse of it can corrode the blade slightly. However, the blade is sturdy enough that she's much more likely to run out of dust before then.

The second ability requires letting go of the button. Or tapping it. In the simplest terms, it essentially releases the magnetic hold on the dust on the blade and flings it at people, but due to mechanisms within the blade that not even Aslin is sure of, effectively turns it into a wave projectile that can cut through objects of it's own accord. It can go about 30 feet on it's own before it fizzles out and is strong enough to cut through kevlar, but will dissipate if it comes into contanct with anything harder. (It can't cut steel, for instance.)

Another strange property of the blade is that it is insanely light. The whole thing weighs roughly a pound at most, which is good for Aslin's small frame as it lets her use it effectively, but it means that it's a terrible tool for bashing someone to death if they're heavily armored, or for actually fencing with someone as the lightness of her blade means it's easily parried. (Thankfully, the dust takes care of that.)

TL;DR: Fancy sci-fi katana that can become enchanted with dark and cut through metal like butter, or slice projectiles at people from a distance.

~Dust: While the blade, when enchanted, accrues a purple-ish hue, and it fires purple projectiles, the dust she uses is not purple at all. Rather, she uses red, yellow, and blue dust at the same time in equal measure which, when mixed, produces the black dust, which can best be described as a plasma, rather than fire, lightning, or ice like the original colors represent. It's actually black, but the enchantment/projectile process heats it up, causing it to glow purple, kind of like a UV light. Her sword can even double as one if she, for some reason, needs to find dried blood or something like it's a crime show.

Her blade can store enough dust in one "reload" for a good 20 or so swings of the projectile, or keeping the blade in Resonant Mode (the name for when it's enchanted) for about an hour, assuming she cuts nothing at all and just stares at it. It can last about 10 minutes in a prolonged fight. She usually carries two spare "reload" capsules that are just one of each of the three colors taped together with her, just in case.

~Other Equipment: 2 spare reload vials of dust carried in a pouch.

~Skills & Abilities: Aslin can be best described as intelligent and inhumanly dexterous. Her exceptionally wiry frame helps her in the latter regard, making her able to do handsprings easily, even on rough terrain. She's very hard to hit because of this, and she can sprint ridiculously fast if necessary. Her intelligence is also an asset, as she always excelled at school and is an excellent tactician.

Unfortunately, she's not strong in the slightest. Her blade was specifically made to be as light as possible, which makes it impossible to clash blades with someone else, as her blade would be knocked to the side easily. Her fighting style makes up for this disadvantage by being extremely agile, prefering hit-and-run attacks over fencing with the enemy. And when I say she's weak, I mean "losing an arm wrestling match to a 14-year-old" weak. She also lacks endurance; she's knocked out easily and can't take much abuse, nor can she run for long. (Comparative to other hunters/huntresses, anyway. She's in exceptionally good shape if you compare her to the average Joe. Just don't expect her to take a punch from a 50-foot-tall bear standing.)

~Description:

Aslin's rather small, and exceptionally thin. She's only about 5'4" and a whopping 95 pounds, making her look absolutely emaciated. This is a minor side effect of her darkening ability: it tends to devour any calories within her, so despite her eating quite a lot she can't gain much weight. Naturally, many women resent her for this, even if she herself would like to gain a good 20 pounds so she'd stop looking like a torture victim.

Despite this, she looks otherwise healthy. A fair complexion, blonde, braided hair and green eyes has she, but despite her somewhat girly hairstyle she has a more tomboy-ish manner of dress. She wears a black hoodie and a black skirt that only goes halfway to her knees, however she also wears combat boots with socks that come up past her knees, coming short of the skirt, leaving a small window of thigh in between. On a mission or if she plans on getting into a fight, she'll switch to wearing sweatpants in lieu of the skirt, in favor of practicality.

~Personality: Aslin, despite being almost a pure manifestation of dark, is in possession of a personality that is anything but. She is generally rather cheery. Not manic, rather more of a calm contentment mixed with determination. She's also usually rather quiet, though she is prone to making snide remarks when the situation calls for it. However, she's also stubborn and headstrong to a ridiculous degree. If she has her mind set on something, whatevery diety rules this world help you if it's your desire to make her change her mind. She tends to speak somewhat more formally than most, rarely using slang and almost always referring to people by their actual name rather than nicknames.

Her opinion on faunus is rather strange. She isn't just accepting of them, she actively wishes she was a faunus. Alas, she is a human, and considers it rather boring. However, if she meets someone that dislikes faunus, she can get... tempermental. She rarely shows the same passion when a faunus is discrimatory towards humans, however.

~History: Born to a single mother (before you ask, there was a father at some point, he just cheated on her and left like an asshole) who was a rather accomplished hunter even from a young age, most of Aslin's childhood life was spent training. Aslin didn't mind; she still went to school, had friends, got an education... she was just also very busy with her mother constantly training her to be a huntress. Aslin, meanwhile, loved it, always looking up to hunters/huntresses - her mother especially - as heroes. Due to intense training and a lot of dedication and love for the whole thing, Alsin went to Beacon and excelled magnificently, to the point where even at such a young age, she rivalled some veterans in skill and knowledge.

It's just a shame she's so damn thin.

~Other: Contrary to what you may think, she utterly despises dark chocolate. Will eat the everloving shit out of milk chocolate, however.

Semblance: This one is rather open, as pretty much anything can go here. Try to keep some semblance of balance.
Precision - Esprum is often acurate, blame this on his curiousity and his love for books. He can point out flaws in patterns, the shap of a key to fit its keyhole, and much more. Due to this, he is effective with his ranged weapon, in terms of preforming fatal blows after moments of buildup, aiming for the neck area.
Weapon: Esprum's weapon is a cross between a halberd and a crossbow. The 'staff' of it is contractible, and when in crossbow mode, the stick part is used as a cartridge case of sorts. Outside of its ranged mode, his weapon has a sharp blue tip, an addition Esprum made using dust. It's a strong as steel, and can easily be stored when the weapon changes.

Dust Pouch: A pouch Esprum carries around. It's full of his special writing dust.
The Four Kingdoms, by Aurther Floss: A large book Esprum carries around. It explains the four kingdoms in depth.
Esprum's Journal: He writes EVERYTHING in this already large book.
Skills & Abilities:
A man of many words: Esprum Can almost perfectly speak any national language, though language spoke amoungst beasts is unkown to him.
Delayed Onslaught: Esprum will often times use rune-traps in combat, if he has times that is.
Mind of a Sailor: He can read maps, and somewhat drive a boat.
Mercy of a King: If met with deciding life of death of an opponent, Esprum will often show mercy, however this also often means he'll find a way to force the opponent onto his side.
Description: Esprum wears a sturdy lazuli-colored robe that goes down to his knees. Under that, he wears a pair of black rubber boots, blueish pants, and a black shirt. His eye color is a deep green, his hair color coal-black. His skin is an almost pale white. Rested before his eyes is a pair of your typical nerdy glasses, for those eye worn out from reading the tiny text from large books.
Personality: Esprum is a silent library. An absolute bookworm. He isn't afraid to tell someone off, or explain his idea, and prove why it would be right. Other than that, he's silent, often a book opened in one of his hands.
History:
Esprum was born in Mistral, the son of a librarian. Due to this, it was quite obvious he began reading at a very early age. He was a prodigy, four classes above most of his comrads. He sought out stories of adventures, death, how ships worked, the inside-out of a fly, everything.
He graduated from a local acadamie, yet he didn't score the best. He was... rather useless at the physical tasks, and ranked the lowest of the seven who graduated. Sure, many attended said acadamy, and many, many failed. But he simply wouldn't take the grade. He taught himself how to fight, based off of textbook after textbook, the occasional adventure novel. He trained, until he was satisfied, his weapon being a halberd/crossbow hybrid.
He never did stop studying, and perhaps that was a good thing, as it led him to learn about the Harbringer Relic. He was detirmined to be one of the four to search for it.

Eh, its not like this is a normal OOC. Talking in here doesn't really change much unless someone can't access steam or anything. Feel free to do whatever you want, but steam is pretty more convenient.
