I haven't been on this site for all that long but based on what I've seen so far it's up to the GM of the roleplay, or sometimes just the players' discretion, as to whether descriptions are in picture or paragraph form. If you look around at the OOC sections of different roleplays on the forum you can get an idea of how character sheets are done depending on the roleplay. Hope that helps.
