Elena was slightly irritated when Kent made his comments, that irritation only grew when he snatched up her sketch book. Very carefully she looked directly at him for the first time, "Keep. Your. Temper" She raised her left eyebrow and gave him a small smirk before turning to the other boy who had sat next to her, "I am not particularly proud of mine, means to an end, a path I needed to take, one that shouldn't have ended me here" It wasn't said in a rude way and still she offered a small smile to the other boy, one who was around her age and had matching scars up his arms. Snatching her sketchbook back up she began drawing again, this time she drew Kent. Once she had sketched out his face, she continued on the image of the beast that forced its way inside her mind next to him.
People had gathered all around the table sitting down, when she looked up the drawing of the beast was half finished with just a rough sketch of the face done, her eyes fluttered over the rest of the group momentarily. It was as if she could see each of their paths that they needed to go down and what they needed to do to go down them. She felt like that sometimes, especially when she was younger. She didn't doubt if she hadn't ended up the way she did, if there had never been an accident, she might have been a councilor in this place, but that dream was long gone. Instead it was replaced by another one, the dream she saw as she was dying from an overdose.
The dream where everything was real and not, things changed at the wave of a hand. Shaking off the dream from her mind Elena's eyes fluttered over the group once more, "Who are you?" She asked to no one in particular. She was curious about who the people surrounding the table where and couldn't really remember if they had introduced themselves or not yet. Finishing the drawing she let her pencil drop and took another bite out of her apple, deciding to watch the group rather than draw them for the moment, but oh how she was just dying for a smoke. The need for one was so hard to forget and she needed to concentrate on something other than how the smoke felt in her lungs or the head rush it gave her. Briefly her mind floated to memory of smoking hookah with her friends, it was something she enjoyed and she ended up buying one herself at one point, she could almost kill to have that with her now, but she didn't and instead took another bite of her apple.
