Life as a Soldier: Life on base

I've visited this idea in the past, on the older forums. And with the release of a new short series, I wanted to revisit it again.

The interest check is for a life of a solider. Living, working their lives. (For this to be interesting, it'll be around an Army base oversea. Afghanistan or Iraq most likely, to keep it current). It's not just going to be action 24/7. There will be downtime., fights, arguments and whatnots, between ourselves. But at the end of the day, you're always be there for the person next to you, your brother/sister in arms.

If nobody is interested, I'll ditch the idea. Hope to get some people. 4 hopefully. More is welcome.

Well, there's no magic! Also, there's no Hero type stunts (Well maybe the odd one). But if you keep running into the line of fire every 3-5 seconds. This GM is going to have to take your character out the game, to be realistic. I want it pretty much as if we were out there ourselves, realistic.

Keep in mind things like, the heat, the load you're carrying, your feelins/ emotions. All the stuff that a soldier will go through.

Richard, Soldiers of any Army, or at least, those present in the current conflicts. I'd prefer us to be mainly of the same Force, if that be UK, U.S.A, or one of the others. Foreign soldiers are allowed. As long as you've been in the selected country for the number of years required. U.K I believe is 5 years +. Not sure of any of the others.

That does not limit you, I can be A U.S Solider, and you can be a German soldier, for Example. You'll mainly only interact with these other soldiers on the shared bases. But occasionally, during mini-battles. Requesting assist, an allied force might be closer, and can assist quicker than your own force.

I want this pretty realistic, so feel free to scold me, if I do something that the Military wouldn't do.

We should probably pick a country/ force to be focused on. Majority of us, should be a member of that Force.

Feel free to make multiple characters too guys.

I know a lot and it's hard to keep things realistic when you got 30 snipers and one grunt for cs's. I just hope your a gm who can say no.

Don't worry, I'll probably make at least two characters, and they won't be snipers. That's at least two grunts ;)

We can have a few snipers, but even the snipers will be within the units, and go on patrols with the units. There won't be much of a lone wolf environment, unless they're special forces.

Sniper's without support are easy game sooner or later, plus snipers rarely work alone as most have spotters.

I always wanted the Sniper(V2 and the such) Games to have some sort of multiplayer spotter/sniper mode or something.
