Rolls

Amazonia Imperiia

Richelieu (Charisma--Diplomacy): 14. (Managed to avoid offending anyone in particular, but did cause a great bit of confusion and impressed upon the princess his good intent.)
Garren (Charisma--Diplomacy): 26. (Intrigued the princess sufficiently with his commanding aura to try and convince him and Richelieu of her cause of her own volition.)

NOTE: The DC Check was too high for either of them to achieve their goals of starting or affecting the negotiations due to the following.
--It's not their place. (Alexandria's role is to facilitate as neutral arbitrator.)
--Social Ladder: Neither of them are royalty or nobility by any stretch of the imagination. (The closest we could construe would be Count Richelieu, and even then, he would be a minor noble, not someone to negotiate the fate of nations.)
--Amazon-Specific: Neither of them fit the qualifications of a proper negotiator in the eyes of Amazonian culture. (Matriarchal society. Ergo why Alexandria was sent. She's one of the best examples of female empowerment Renalta has going for it.)
--The negotiations haven't started yet and won't start until all parties are ready to begin.

Kraith (Perception--Passive): 14 (Spotted the "milk boy". )
Traxilus (Perception--Passive): 18 (Spotted the weakness in the Queen's Tent!)

First Blow

Adonai Maher: 18 (Successful) Some of the fog is moved away in the path towards the first, and now second, signal flares.

Royal Blood

Whilst there were no rolls, your introductions were noted by the Crown-Prince and his daughter. Take this into account when wording your next statements because you will be scrutinized for it... Or welcomed, as the case may be. *Hint-nudge-hint*

Here's the artist that drew the picture being used for Crown-Prince Xavier. Because I should at least credit the people whose art I'm using... Whenever I can find them.

And for the daughter.

Also, as a recommendation, it would likely help this group to communicate about what their next moves will be. Coordinate your questioning and make sure not to overwhelm Penelope if you choose to question her--too many going after her, or too aggressive a line of questioning, will quickly shut her down, despite how useful a link she might be.

The Hunt For Diana

Here's the mystery man's artist, because giving credit where credit is due is what cool cats do.

For now, the mission is fairly straightforward, but y'all should still have enough choices and paths available to make posts of at least two paragraphs in size. The mission should open up more as you get further along in it, but I figured to give all of you a a sort of "don't worry" message seeing as how the others are getting straight to their open choices-versus-consequences dynamics.

Everyone

I'll have time to do a few updates, which means some extra lore possible, or cleaning up the few loose ends I have. Like for instance, I think I still need to submit a destiny. At the very least it does mean I can actually answer questions in a TIMELY MANNER! YES!

Hmm, that went pretty well. I am wondering where the Royal Blood group is chatting though, Skype?

Azathoth said "Your job is to go in, talk to each side, figure out the best method of resolving the conflict, and then resolve it."

1 that would include the group as a whole, including Alex. 2 that is typically what mediators do, it still doesn't help you get anywhere until both sides are ready to start.

3 you're more likely there to stop an assassination or attack of some kind rather than the stated goals. :p

I read the first blow as "five hundred undead" and was confused as all hell when Brovo suggested we could easily take them out haha. But now we have some tough decisions! I assume a red flare means Wren is in trouble though?

Sarah's Request:
Kasim; Roll: 7 Pass
Naream: Roll: 5 Pass
Eins Numgrud: Roll: 11 Pass
Andrea: Roll: 15 Pass

All passed the DC of the trap, Andrea by a massive amount, Naream barely. As such modifiers weren't needed to be factored in :p

Carnival of Chaos:
Tristan Whitemarch: Roll: Dc15; Roll 6; Fails.
Cristoff Whitemarch: Roll : Dc15; Roll 2; Fails hard.
Aneura: Roll: Dc15; Roll 9; Fails.

Even with their bonuses applied, nobody passed that test.

Gonna take a wild guess and say that flaying the undead via my whip won't do much?

Especially considering that Alexandria stated she was there to guide and assist us."if you need guidance, or assistance, come and ask. It's what I'm really here for."And the Mission implied the negotiations were part of our job."Your job is to go in, talk to each side, figure out the best method of resolving the conflict, and then resolve it."And Florence is representing the Imperium, so I didn't immediately assume males talking would be speaking out of their station.

Florence is part of the entire reason this problem exists. The queen actually considering this whole deal with a man is part of what is giving the princess some actual fodder to fight with, which was something not immediately revealed because I don't reveal all information to allow for some cultural pratfalls. :p

Also, while the mission implies that negotiation is part of the job, the first and foremost objective is ferreting out any potential sources of corruption involving the queen, a significant portion of finding corruption is through one on one discussions or investigations--more akin to a private investigator than a diplomat. Later on though your diplomatic skills will definitely come in handy in swaying people one way or the other based on what evidence you might find.

However, something to consider.

You didn't completely fail in your task either. Your approach did work in an unorthodox manner, you showed your sincerity and managed to convince a potential world leader of your importance. So much so that she now wants to talk with you. In private. About ferreting out evidence related to the corruption of the queen.

So yeah. I wouldn't worry. I'd say you succeeded, just not in the way you quite intended.

That is the assumption one could derive yes. Could of course mean something else entirely. She might be asking you to bring some cake and tea.

If you flayed the flesh of a limb, like a leg, you might be able to take cripple them further than they already are, but aside from that, no, a whip probably won't kill them unless you could decapitate them with it.

Actually, Syl asked me to take control of hers.

Also, all of you on Cease Fire.... Prepare for a large page update. This takes into account occurrences while you were gone and some things when you arrive. *winks*

Here Cometh the Wolves is not being updated. Anyone who wishes to see their roll results for the round, do ask, I will make you aware.

I would like to see any applicable rolls.

As for the 'not being updated' bit: should people on the Here Cometh the Wolves mission be preparing another post?
