Remember back before June 12, the date Mahz doubled the server size, this kind of crap was happening all the time because the forum infrastructure was crap? Yeah, doubling the server size just made it take longer for shit to overflow and cause problems, rather than actually solving the issues. The time has come. The server needs another reset to clear out all the built up garbage that is making it shit the bed, then it'll be another couple months before this goes down again. That'll be that case until actual work gets done on the site to make it work like it should.

Also, this. ^ I can take this forum's hiccups if it means I won't have to sit through an hour of downtime every night at 9.

Oh, and, if anyone's interested, I did sort of find a technique to avoid double posts, which is probably part of the reason why I'm not bothered by them. Buuuut that's just coming from a Mac/Chrome user. I can't guarantee it'll work for everyone else.

Just delete everything in the url after roleplayerguild.com and hit enter, it'll take you back to the main page you last looked at and then just go back to whatever forum/pm you were posting and it'll probably be there. Refreshing causes the multiple posts.

Yeah, that's basically what I do.

Whenever the forum freezes up on me, I always just open up RPG in another tab and navigate back to whatever thread I was on. Once I see that it's there, I close the old tab.

Doesn't always work. During the hiccup the other day, that's exactly what I was doing. The posts weren't there when I navigated back to the page I was on, so I C+P'd what I'd written and attempted to resubmit. Went through this process a couple of times, assuming it was my internet acting up, and you saw what happened.

Well, sometimes when they aren't there, it's because it's lagging. That's why I tend to wait a minute or two before trying to resubmit.
