Thank you for taking the time to read this! I am currently in search of a writing partner or two, writers of intelligence and craft who are interested in writing original stories with... far from ideal circumstances and less than happy endings. Ideal partners would be:
the age of eighteen years or more, and mature. willing to play a female lead opposite my male lead. of few limits, the boundaries of which should only be pushed to advance the story; the story should be a story, not a letter to Penthouse. No bestiality, no pedophilia, no coprophilia and no necrophilia (which include vampires, ghouls, zombies, mummies, and the like... but not ghosts.) willing to create and play additional characters willing to both advance the story and add to the backstory able to both take AND GIVE constructive criticism! If you do not like how things are progressing, please do let me know; as this is writing, we can always go back and change/edit things. And if it's not working out, then for heaven's sake say something! capable of writing at an advanced level. We all have bad days, of course. Quality is preferred over quantity. capable of posting at least once a week, if nothing else than to let me know you're alive. Generally, if I do not hear from a partner one way or the other after about 45 days, I consider that partner to be no longer interested and/or no longer having the time.For my part, I can offer you all of the same in turn. Writing samples are also available upon request.
Now you may say, "Justric, this is all well and good, but do you have actual plot lines and pairings to offer?" The answer to that is, "Yes!" Please bear in mind that none of the following are necessarily romance stories but do have the potential for such.
Female Retrieval Agent & Male Smuggler
Who is to say that Repo Men can not also be women? Beneath the thick leathers and rubbers of GeneCo’s retrieval agents, who can say what gender these hunters might be? This story takes place before the events in the movie. Rotti Largo is still alive and just as ruthless. His company has the monopoly on the genetically designed organs that most humans require to live, and if you fall too far behind on your payments then the Repo Man comes calling. Some debtors have been on the run for while, though, knowing the secret for escaping GeneCo’s best agents. These people form a resistance which smuggles other debtors out of the city and into the wilderness where life is hard but free. One such man saves a woman from assault by black-marketeers, a young woman with surgeon’s hands and a butcher’s heart. After this chance encounter they begin to see one another more often. Only what happens when she discovers that he is not only behind on payments, but that he’s been owing for quite some time? Some familiarity with the movie would be appreciated.
Female Researcher & Male Specimen
A new golden age has dawned! Crime is down, the economy is up, and the United States is making great strides in the advancement of medical knowledge! This, of course, is mainly due to the Horrendous Crimes Act of 2066 which bans animal testing in favor of using those convicted of heinous crimes. Convicts no longer, they have been stripped of their identity and their rights to become specimens; their crimes were terrible enough that it was decided that they themselves no longer qualified as being humans. Only when a new research is assigned to a specimen for her studies, she discovers that not only does it seem quite unlike any of the other specimens but that it has survived twice as long as any other as well! This is potentially an emotionally wracking story as it deals with brutality in the prison system, abuse of power, the question of who decides innocence and guilt, and several other controversial topics. (You might want to ask for a sample on this one. Trust me.) This was a story idea created by a partner who was waylaid by real life, and it is set in a world that I have partially created.
Female human & Male Selkie
Ocean Life Park is one of the greatest attractions you can visit if you are interested in marine life... and roller coasters. It is not only an amusement park built to rival Marineland and SeaWorld, but it also serves as one of the premiere aquariums and wildlife research and rehabilitation centers on the East Coast. The Park has become a massive affair that nearly puts Disney to shame. Their trained animal acts are intended not only to amuse but also to educate the public. Originally, the Park was nothing more than a fly-by-night operation. Over the past twenty years it has built itself up to the point where it no longer needs to reply upon either government grants or public donations. Even PETA and Greenpeace have curiously few bad things to say about the place! Only one of the harbor seals is not what he seems. Blind in one eye and missing half a flipper, he can't be released into the wild but nor is he all that trainable. The staff and trainers are at a loss as to what to do with him, yet when one of the more dangerous exhibits threatens a person, his secret might be revealed. What price is he willing to pay to keep that secret?
Human & Elf
Life can be hard sometimes. Cruel, even. Too scared to commit suicide and too worn down to continue in life, a person starts to hope for miracles that will never come until it even hurts to dream. When a miracle does occur, should it be trusted? A family heirloom unlocks a creatures of folklore who vows to help the rescuer for a year and a day by way of thanks. Only there were reasons that people told tales of the Good Folk in song and stories around the hearth fires so long ago. Like most fairytales, they were not to entertain but to warn. According to the ancient ballads, every seven years the elves must pay a tithe to Hell… (Looking for a partner to play either part.)
Human Fisherman & Mermaid
In the early 1920s, life along the coast of the Dominion of Newfoundland was hard for many families. The independent government is wracked with scandal and corruption, the whale and seal fur trade is in a slump, and the only way for fishermen to survive is by reeling in cod, tending their own gardens… and maybe running a bit of smuggling. The United States is in the grip of Prohibition, and a Newfie boat captain can make a great deal of money rum-running. Only when a fisherman sails into a storm and is saved by a mermaid, his life is turned upside down. Having broken her own people’s laws in saving him, she's going to have troubles of her own.
