I have a million and one headcanons and AUs and daydreams about my characters. So I'm wondering what you all wonder and think about in regards to your characters--particularly the stuff that doesn't make directly into role plays. Maybe you write about or draw them in situations you can't seem to get them in in role plays?

Oh, totally. I have a whole sketchbook of stuff devoted to one of my characters. I drew her, her room, her with each of her love interests (from different stories! She always has a different name, a slightly different personality, and a different love interest. And she's usually a different age, like in my first RPs with her she was 5 going on 6, and now she's barely 14.) I write stories with her, because she's the only character I haven't scrapped completely in the last four years. So yeah. Whole sketchbook and notebook for one character. :)

That's intense! I keep notebooks for doodling / writing about my characters as well, but I don't think I have enough material on any SINGLE character to have a notebook full, haha. Got anything interesting to share about her that you might not reveal in RPs?

Hmm... Yeah, she was kind of my imaginary friend when I was really little. I would always tell people about my friend Anna who had purple eyes and was shorter than I was (A big deal because I was always in the 25th percentile or less for height.) We would have tea parties together, and we would doodle together. She was left-handed and I was right-handed so we could draw at the same time (as in, one pen in each hand.) She'd always come to preschool with me... Yeah. Good times. But now she's living a life all her own in the Roman Empire, which is more awesome than anything I've done in life.

Well this is a interesting topic. Well one character I have is a bit of a schizophrenic. If that's anything. And she well uhh how to say.... is a world away from the cuckoo birds nest.

Each of my characters have similar backstories and relatively the same personalities just worded differently with some differences between them. However the events in their lives and their experiences would, if they were locked in the room together, would cause them to hate each other or piss each other off to some extreme or another. The nature dweller wouldn't get along with the career soldier, the mercenary wouldn't get along with the angsty boy, the normal school boy would get along with the werewolf boy if they didn't get to into things. the female sekirei would find most of them annoying, and it would generally be a nut house.

Hoooo boy!

Given how many characters I have, most of them never used in RP, well, I could write novels. As to those characters I have played? For my Nassquill character Onin Bey, I just "realized" that he plays a flute in his quiet moments. I've already known for some time that my Nism character Deen was a "wild child" in his youth, always getting into trouble. His mate, Thoee... well, she's very fond of music and dance, but I've never brought out that side of her in RP. Yet.

I could go on, but I'm running out of time on this library computer, so I'll have to... heh... continue later. Gotta have time to think of more, as well. Later, then...

Hmm less about the characters I use to RP (I like making someone new-n-different each time) but I've got a whole cast of character who I keep around for no other reason than to fill sketchbooks with random tidbits. Initially, of course, I thought they would go to good use, but their stories are too bizarre to print since I started telling them in high-school and their lives took right-angle turns whenever mine did. But yeah, I even know everything about them, from what kind of swimsuit they own to what they did to get kicked out of university. :P

Some recent trends in my RP characters (involving RPs that I partook in) include making characters of Iranian heritage. I normally pigeonhole myself into making superhuman character, half-human hybrids, or even a Nietzschean character, hence my username. But this is my first venture outside of me pigeonholing and I thought I could use what I know due to my Iranian heritage. I also like to promise about my characters by saying, "More to come soon!"

Well, the saying is: "Write what you know."

So, sounds to me like you're just taking that phrase to heart.

My characters tend to be an extreme version of myself. And by extreme I take traits that I have and make them a very important aspect in my characters. Some of them have a very sarcastic mouth. Other's are overly nice guys who are easy to manipulate.
