"It's Cool, We Can Still Be Friends" by Bright Eyes
Yeah, you still kiss me, but it's just on the cheek
Yeah, you still kiss me, but it's just on the cheek
Yeah, you still kiss me sometimes, but it's just on the cheek
You pull away so easily
And I still call you, but I get your machine
And I still call you, but I get your machine
And if I'm lucky I guess, I get your roommate answering
But you're at the bar, or at Gene's
And we go to dinner, but you won't hold my hand
We sit at the same table, but we don't play with our feet
Yeah, we still go to dinner sometimes, but we don't sneak a kiss
When the waitress turns around
And we still watch movies, but we don't share the couch
And we still rent movies, but we don't share the couch
Yeah, we still watch movies sometimes, but you don't lay in my lap
The plot is slow, take a nap
And you even stay over, but now we stay in our clothes
Yeah, you'll even sleep over, but now we stay in our clothes
Yeah, you even sleep over sometimes, but we stay in our clothes
I'm only there so that you're not alone
And you say that I hurt you, in a voice like a prayer
Yeah, you say that I've hurt you, and your voice is like a prayer
Yeah, well maybe I hurt you sometimes, but let's contrast and compare
Lift up your shirt, the wound isn't there
I guess that your truth, is just the ghost of your lies
I guess your kind of truth, is just the ghost of your lies
Yeah, your kind of truth, darling, is just the ghost of your lies
I see through them all the time
So I'm pouring some whiskey, I'm gonna get drunk
Yeah, I'm pouring myself some whiskey, I'm going to get really fucking drunk
I'm pouring some whiskey right now, I'm going to get so, so drunk
That I pass out, forget your face, by the time I wake up.
--
This song is about a former couple. They have recently departed, but still hang out with each other.
However, the man of the relationship still has feelings for the woman, and he is sad.
I would like to play the male in this plot.

"Where'd You Go?" by Fort Minor
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
She said "Some days I feel like shit,
Some days I wanna quit, and just be normal for a bit,"
I don't understand why you have to always be gone,
I get along but the trips always feel so long,
And, I find myself trying to stay by the phone,
'Cause your voice always helps me to not feel so alone,
But I feel like an idiot, workin' my day around the call,
But when I pick up I don't have much to say,
So, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...
You know the place where you used to live,
Used to barbecue up burgers and ribs,
Used to have a little party every Halloween with candy by the pile,
But now, you only stop by every once and a while,
Shit, I find myself just fillin' my time,
With anything to keep the thought of you from my mind,
I'm doin' fine, and I'm plannin' to keep it that way,
You can call me if you find that you have something to say,
And I'll tell you, I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', at times debatin',
Tellin' you that I've had it with you and your career,
Me and the rest of the family here singing "Where'd you go?"
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...
I want you to know it's a little fucked up,
That I'm stuck here waitin', no longer debatin',
Tired of sittin' and hatin' and makin' these excuses,
For why you're not around, and feeling so useless,
It seems one thing has been true all along,
You don't really know what you've got 'til it's gone,
I guess I've had it with you and your career,
When you come back I won't be here and you can sing it...
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone.
Where'd you go?
I miss you so,
Seems like it's been forever,
That you've been gone,
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...
Please come back home...

Pretty sure you can already pick up on what this song means. The wife (or girlfriend) is always away, never home due to her career and stuff. The husband/boyfriend is obviously very hurt because he never sees her, it seems as though she cares about her job more than him.
Or we could switch the genders around.
In fact, we could do this however we want. It could also be about a child and his/her mother/father. So many possibilities!
I could play either character in this plot.

"I Know I'm A Wolf" by Young Heretics
Dear rabbit, my legs are getting weak... chasing you
And the snowfields... Wouldn't seem so big, if you knew
That this blood on my teeth, it is far beyond dry...
And I've captured you once, but it wasn't quite right...
So I'm tellin' you.. That you'll be safe with me.
(Ooo)
Oh rabbit, my claws are down now so don't be afraid...
I can keep you warm, as long as you can just try... To be brave!
Yes I know I'm a wolf, and I've been known to bite,
But the rest of my pack... I've left them behind.
And my teeth may be sharp, and I've been raised to kill...
But the though of fresh meat... It's making me ill!
So I'm telling you... That you'll be safe with...
Me, eee, ooo, ooo...
So rabbit, please stop looking the oth-other way...
It's cold out there... So why not stay here, under my tail...?
--
Okay, the plot I have for this isn't directly from the song above. It's derived from it.
I was thinking we'd both be wolves.
And we can even double if need-be.
Our wolves are loners, both had left the pack because they were unsatisfied in what the alpha was coming to be. These two wolves can be related, friends, or acquaintances, whatever works.
That being said, they must help each other out with food, since it is scarce and much, much harder to obtain being that the weather is not on their side.
However, my wolf is starting to "come to grips with the circle of life", making it hard for you two to eat because he/she is unable to kill without hesitating, causing many potential meals to get away, making your wolf very upset.
I do have a gender preference for this. I would like my wolf to be the male.
But if we're not doing romantic gestures in this plot, then feel free to be male as well. I really don't care.

"Almost Lover" by A Fine Frenzy
Your fingertips across my skin
The palm trees swaying in the wind
Images
You sang me Spanish lullabies
The sweetest sadness in your eyes
Clever trick
I never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
I should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do
We walked along a crowded street
You took my hand and danced with me
Images
And when you left you kissed my lips
You told me you'd never ever forget these images, no
I never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
I should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do
I cannot go to the ocean
I cannot drive the streets at night
I cannot wake up in the morning
Without you on my mind
So you're gone and I'm haunted
And I bet you are just fine
Did I make it that easy
To walk right in and out of my life?
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
I should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do

This, my friends, is roleplay about a romance that never began. Being that I have experienced this situation before (and I am going through it as we speak), it really hits me deep. And I will EASILY be entwined in this roleplay for days on end.
Anywho, for once, I would like to play the female in this plot.
My character, though determined to leave it all behind and move on, is still hung up on the almost romance and feels indignant towards the guy, your character, not out of genuine dislike or honest blame for his feelings, but out of her hurt over what has happened. She still wants it to work out deep in her heart, though she knows in the left side of her brain that it won't work out and that she's better off moving on.
