It's been twelve years since the death of the dark lord on the very grounds of Hogwarts, the blood of the casualties still fresh between cracks of stone and dirt. There is a new headmaster at Hogwarts, new teachers, and new students to tell new stories in the aftermath of the dark lord's fall. It's been quiet and peaceful for the past few years, and no sign of trouble seems to be present, except for the usual rivalry of house Gryffindor and house Slytherin.

Main feature: A month into the new school year at the prime school of wizardy, a student is contacted by a mysterious person claiming to be a Death-Eater, and is recruited to be the spy at Hogwarts for the Legacy of Lord Voldemort.

Apparently it would be nice to have everybody taking roles of students, to populate the RP with more student-centered drama and plots. But yeah, it is fine to have a second character (or just have it as your main character) as a staff. As soon as I get up the RP Thread and figure which staff positions are NPC, you can then go ahead and make a staff character.

What do you have in mind?

I was thinking an Arithmancy teacher, an alumnus of Slytherin house who graduated in Harry's second or third year and was apprenticed to an American arithmancy Master, and stayed in America to avoid becoming entangled in the war by her former house mates.

It would be cool if the staff person for Head of Slytherin House was open, but I will not lose my interest or character idea if it is not, or you simply want that to be an NPC.

My other idea is for a muggleborn, extremely studious, Hufflepuff..

That sounds interesting, and of course you are more than welcome to take the position for Head of house Slytherin. It would be intriguing to see a different branch of magic on the spotlight, might have reconsidered if you settled for dark arts. You are good to go, the OOC should be up in the next 18 hours.
