Full Name: Roland Ebner
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Appearance:
(Except with bright blue eyes)
Role: Interpersonal
Personality: Roland is very good at making friends. He's the type that could go to a party and know everyone's name and deepest secret by the end of the night. Despite having so many friends he manages to make each one feel important to him. There is just something about him that's disarming, that makes you feel like you can confide in him and that you can trust him. Perhaps it's because he will listen to whatever you have to say and rarely ever criticizes you, or perhaps it's because he always seems just the thing to say to put your mind at ease and to push you to achieve whatever your goals are.
Despite having so many friends there is almost no one who knows much of anything about Roland. Sure his friends know that he can play the piano, and guitar quite well, or that he tends to be pretty good at strategy games, he enjoys reading mystery books in particular. But those are more just talking points for him. He refuses to talk about where he came from, who his parents are, or what his past is like, and even when asked his opinion on something, he will often avoid or reverse the question. In fact if people bug him enough about such things he will often lie to get them to shut up.
History: Roland was born as the first and only child of a wealthy politician. His mother died from complications during childbirth, and his father always remained neglectful, his son reminding him too much of his dead wife. When he was five his father died in a car accident and Roland was shuffled off to live with his grandfather on his mother's side. He was a wealthy business man who was in charge of running a newspaper and blamed Roland for his daughter's death. He put him to work at a very young age, and frequently abused him. When he was twelve his grandfather died in a fire that started in one of the newspaper's buildings. The grandfather was the only death, but three other workers were injured including Roland himself, who sustained burns to his left shoulder and back. After this Roland became quiet and withdrawn for the next few years as he was shuffled around to several different foster homes. He ended up living with a family out in the country and working on their farm. But all of a sudden as he entered high school something changed and he came out of his shell. He made friends with nearly everyone he met, and he began to excel at school. So much so that he was able to graduate a year early.
Others: He has cigar burns along the bottom of one arm, which he always makes sure to keep hidden. His hands are also very rough and calloused. He is missing the tip of his right ring finger as well.
