Physical Appearance: Being the daughter of a former model, Taylor has been gifted with very good looks. She is petite and somewhat frail-looking, as if she were a delicate glass sculpture, prone to breaking at any moment. She has perfect skin tone, pale enough to show that she’s not very outdoorsy but tan enough that she doesn’t look like a ghost. She has a long, graceful body, with long legs and hands that always move in elegant, sweeping gestures. She is compact in physique, with some curvature and a higher-than average bust-to-butt ratio, though her breasts are not large enough to turn heads. Her face is round and heart-shaped, with plump cheeks and a beauty mark near the left corner of her mouth. She has small ears that are always adorned by diamond stud earrings. Her eyes are sky blue, and seem rather wide above her soft nose. Her hair is kept a little below shoulder length, and is always tied up in a ponytail, bun, or french twist. She loves her hair very much, and takes great care of it, making sure that she never gets split ends or anything of the sort. Taylor is rather prone to acne, and so she puts herself on a strictly-regimented set of acne control creams and soaps. This, combined with her makeup, makes Taylor’s face look nearly flawless. Her lips are unnaturally red, and her eyelashes are unnaturally full. Her nails are always freshly manicured, and are usually painted white or clear. She keeps them longer than average, and has a habit of drumming them on things when she's bored. She has no tattoos of any kind, but she wants one on her left shoulder. However, knowing her family, she’d get in huge trouble if she got one, so she doesn’t bother with it. Taylor speaks with a pretty obvious French accent, although it is beginning to sound slightly less French because she’s been in America for so long.

Attire: Ask yourself three questions when deciding if something is in Taylor’s wardrobe or not: 1) Is it designer? 2) is that designer French? 3) Does it cost more than most people’s weekly salaries? Basically, Taylor doesn’t mind flaunting around the fact that she has money using her clothing. She has no preference between pants or dresses, and relies solely on how cold it is outside to decide which to wear. In the summertime, she will wear flowing dresses and designer swimsuits, and in the wintertime, she will wear sweaters and warm leggings with designer boots. She is commonly seen wearing a white beret, as she finds it funny how stereotypical Americans think French hats are. When it’s cold out, she will switch to a knit beret to keep her head nice and warm. Almost every pair of shoes that Taylor owns have heels to them, as she’s paranoid about her height despite being of average height for a twenty-one-year-old human female.
Taylor doesn’t exactly go skimpy on the jewelry either. She likes sapphires and diamonds, though only wears one at a time. She almost always wears a diamond ring on her right ring finger, and will switch it to her left when she’s in a place where she doesn’t want to be hit on. She prefers silver to gold. Taylor wears a charm bracelet on her right wrist. On it is a pair of dance slippers, a pair of ice skates, an Eiffel Tower, a bead with the letter C on it, and a pink breast cancer ribbon. She normally carries a designer purse with her.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: A life of riches can lead one to easily become pompous. Taylor is one of those people. Now she’s not the type to brag; she won’t walk around counting her money or telling you about how many yachts her father owns (the answer is four), but she is incredibly judgemental and generally turns her nose up at people who look dirty or non-rich. She almost subconsciously judges books by their covers, and disassociates herself with people who do not look or act like they have money. From a friend level, Taylor is alright. She’s a tad shy, and acts rather innocent when she’s in a group; you won’t find her making dick jokes anytime soon. She’s rather awkward, socially, often stumbling over words and lapsing into French when she makes a fool out of herself so that people can’t tell what she’s saying. She has a habit of talking to herself when she’s alone. The annoying aspect of Taylor is that she loves being the center of attention. It’s not uncommon for her to interrupt others simply to bring the focus of conversation back to herself.
When out and about, Taylor looks like the “it” girl. She spends much of her time with friends (maybe a bit too much) and is always laughing. In reality, this is a mask to shroud her true feelings of insecurity and depression. Taylor was diagnosed with clinical depression at age thirteen. She takes medicine to help her deal with it, but she still has trouble fighting off the feelings of worthlessness and paranoia some days. She is very slow to trust, and always believes that the people she loves are going to abandon her someday and leave her all alone to die. Because of this, Taylor acts almost smotheringly towards friends and lovers. She’s quick to use the L-word in a relationship simply to keep the boy from leaving her, and it’s not the most complicated thing for a boyfriend to get her into bed. Now allow me to clarify here so that the name of Taylor Rouleau is not too overly-besmirched; Taylor is not what modern society would call a slut. She is not promiscuous for the sake of being promiscuous, but she will go out of her way to get romantic partners so attached to her that they won’t leave. She is very easily bothered by the idea of people leaving her. She cries a lot when no one’s watching.
All in all, Taylor’s not really a bad person. Annoying, sometimes, but her motives are rarely sordid. She can be very sweet and kind to people who are her friends, but with the tradeoff of her attention whorism and capacity to smother people with warm fuzzy feelings. If you are someone who is patient and likes intimate relationships, then Taylor’s your girl. However, if you are generally introverted and not a fan of the warm fuzzy feelings parade, then Taylor could quite possibly rub you the wrong way.

Hobbies/Interests: Dancing, ice skating, acting, painting, poetry; she’s very left-brained. Taylor doesn’t read often. She listens to a combination of classical and electronic music. She listens to everything from Yo Yo Ma to Coldplay to Brusspup. Her favorite artist by far is Lindsey Stirling. Her favorite food is French onion soup. She has a thing for aquatic animals, especially bright-colored fish. She has a sizeable fish tank in her house.

Skills/Talents: Taylor goes to college for art, and so is a pretty good artist. She majors in dancing, and is amazing at ballet. She’s a fairly good artist too, able to draw decent paintings. Taylor’s true talent, however, lies in the ice rink. She is one of the best ice skaters in the country. She skates competitively, and was considering trying out for the French Olympic team until metas were banned from it. Her poetry in English sucks, but her French poetry isn’t half-bad. She speaks better French than she does English, though she speaks English well too.

History/Bio: Taylor was born in Marseille, a coastal city in southern France. She grew up rich and overprivileged, her father being a millionaire president of a perfume company. Taylor’s mother was a supermodel, but her dad wasn’t exactly the best at keeping women happy, and so by age four, they divorced. Taylor was mostly raised by her stepmother, who was American. Her stepmother was a former ballet dancer, and she enrolled Taylor in dance classes as soon as she could. Taylor showed herself to be very adept at ballet, and while on a family vacation in the Italian Alps discovered a love for ice skating.
She discovered her power at age eight while at the beach. There was a wounded sea turtle laying on the beach, dying, and Taylor willed an orb of water to carry it back into the sea. Her father, having a reputation to keep up, kept his daughter’s powers secret. Taylor grew up thinking that she was a freak. Despite her father’s stern warnings, Taylor never stopped practicing, and soon became quite skilled with her abilities. At age fifteen, Taylor was “practicing” her abilities in the family’s backyard koi pond when she lost control and accidentally smacked a business partner of her father’s in the face with a fish. This was the last straw for her father, and so he sent her to an American superpower training school; Academy 218. While at the Academy, Taylor learned how to use her powers well, and returned home two-and-a-half years later with an incredible amount of skill. She returned home to a shock; her mother had breast cancer. She stayed home for a year, despite her father’s apparent loathing for her abilities (which she showed off whenever possible) and took care of her mother. After about a year, her mother began to recover, and Taylor began to look for some sort of employment, not wanting to be one of those heiresses who just sit around and do nothing. She auditioned for a French ballet school’s production of The Nutcracker, and got the part of the Sugar Plum Fairy. Her dancing impressed many people, especially a talent scout from the Johnathan Corvo University of the Performing Arts in Mendel. She went on a full ride (though she didn’t need it) and her father, to get her away from his house primarily, paid for all of her expenses and for a fancy penthouse condominium. This is where Taylor stands now, a young, filthy-rich dancer on her way to becoming famous.

Power Class: Elemental
Power: Taylor has the ability to manipulate water. In essence, she is a waterbender, like from Avatar. As this ability is very broad and is hard to specifically define, I will instead give examples of what Taylor can do with water, rather than just say “she can throw water and shit” a bunch of different ways. To accomplish this task, I will use the magical power of bullet points!

-Water manipulation. Basically waterbending. Taylor can move water telekinetically, allowing her to utilize it both offensively and defensively. Offensively, she can whip orbs of water at high speeds, and can use its surface tension to deal physical damage to enemies. She can use surface tension defensively as well by making shields out of fast-moving water. They can’t repel bullets, but in a pinch can work to repel debris and weaker physical attacks.

-Sensory scrying. Taylor has perfected the ability to sense minute ripples in the surface tension of standing water, allowing her to use water to greatly amplify her hearing. She can use puddles and raindrops to sense when people are coming, and in rain can actually form a visual map of her surroundings using the surface tensions of raindrops.

-Temperature regulation/resistance. Water is renowned for its high heat capacity and low cold tolerance. Taylor’s tissues are saturated with water (just a byproduct of her ability), and she can use this water to form a shield against heat and cold. It is more difficult than average to burn Taylor, and she can survive hot climates much better than your average mook. Also, because her tissues are so saturated, Taylor almost never needs to drink to survive.

-Water affinity. Taylor cannot drown, and when underwater she is able to breathe indefinitely. She can swim without moving, simply by bending the water around her, and can use her scrying not only to get a map of the area around her, but to hear what is going on above the surface.

-Taylor will eventually be able to manipulate the other forms of water as well (Ice and steam) but cannot as of yet.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Firstly, Taylor cannot produce her own water. She needs to get a source from somewhere, thus why she carries a few bottles of water with her at all times. No water source equals no power. Weather affects her power as well. If Taylor is in a hot dry climate, she will be weaker than she would be in the rain. Secondly, Taylor cannot control water that is mixed with oil. This prevents her from using water dirtied by synthetic oils, but more importantly prevents her from being able to manipulate the water in biological organisms. Thirdly, the more diluted a water source is, the less Taylor can control it. She is best with fresh water, and has learned how to skillfully bend saltwater, but has problems moving dirty or muddy water, as well as other thick liquids (though she has practiced the art of alcohol manipulation and has gotten fairly good at it).

Physical Appearance:Rabbit’s skin is as pale as any true Irish woman should be, and she’s proud of her heritage, even if she can never get a tan in the summer. She has the appearance of someone weak, someone who's used to being abused and trampled on. When it comes to her appearance she’s the perfect example of how appearances can be deceiving, how one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover. Rabbit is more peculiar looking than she is attractive or ordinary. She would stand out in most crowds or groups. Her upper body looks rather normal on first glance, not fit for any heavy manual labour or close combat nor appealing in a feminine way. Her lower body and legs on the other hand seems out of place on her when compared to her torso and arms, as they are somewhat big, muscular and athletic. Her hips are large, while her bust is small. She never skips leg day; in fact, it’s her main focus when she does work out.

She’s got facial features that make her look easily frightened, ready to run away and hide at a moment’s notice. Rabbit does often keep an eye on her surroundings as if she was expecting to be ambushed, cut down or worse. Her eyes are a dark green shade, and her hair is long, flowing down along her figure to her stomach. She keeps it tied up in a ponytail as she hates when it gets in her face, the wind takes or it just generally acts uncontrollably. It’s dyed purple with black highlights. Her nickname was something people started using to bully her, but that was years ago. She’s since embraced it to the point where she’s got a number of tiny rabbit footprints tattooed over her body, starting in the corner of her right eye, leading downwards along her torso and legs. She doesn’t have any other tattoos.

Attire: Rabbit almost always wears tight leather pants with a belt that has a golden buckle in the shape of a rabbit’s head. On her feet she wears gothic boots that are heavier than normal footwear, as they are adorned with metal details and have been reinforced with metal for that extra power when kicking. She likes T-shirts that are loose, too big for her and has some kind of colourful print on the front. She rarely dresses in any formal or pretty outfits, and she isn’t much of a fan of makeup either. Her favourite accessory is a pair of star-shaped sunglasses, because they add that little extra quirk and allows her to check others out without them noticing. Sometimes she’ll wear a jacket with the crossed keys on the back, other times she’ll wear a longer jacket that has no symbols on it to give away her affiliation.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Rabbit is paranoid, whether she has a real reason to be it or not doesn’t matter much to her. She’s lived with it for most of her life, and her skittishness was what made others start to call her the nickname she still has. Her paranoia makes her reluctant to reveal stuff about herself to others, makes her doubt people’s loyalty and makes it difficult for her to relax. She doesn’t acknowledge that she is any more paranoid than anyone else and even jokes about it at times when she may have said something strange. She may doubt everyone and everything at times, but she is still mainly a good person that is more willing to help others than harm them in any way. However, she wouldn’t hesitate to protect herself and fight for a good cause when provided with one. She isn’t particularly unreliable as a person despite this, more often than not sticking to her convictions, believing herself strong enough to counter each of the betrayals that she has come to expect at every turn. Rabbit has got a plan on how to deal with each of these betrayals as well. She’s read too many superhero comics, which makes her want to live up to an ideal that’s impossible for any real human to constantly live by. She has a distinct irish accent when she talks.

Hobbies/Interests: Rabbit is a nature enthusiast, and loves animals. In her apartment she’s got a cat and a dog living with her, together with a bunch of plants. She misses Ireland for its nature and people sometimes, but not much else since she can still take part of its music and chat with her family online. She enjoys running, capoeira and using her legs while fighting or exercising. Her favourite music is Celtic punk, which she annoys her neighbours by playing too loud every now and then. She’s got boxes full of comic books hidden away in a closet somewhere. Her favourite is spiderman. Her top movie list would consist of sci-fi.

Skills/Talents: A fast runner with great endurance, and purple belt in capoiera. She has an exellent hand when it comes to animals and there are few who doesn't like her instantly. Rabbit was taught by her father how to survive in the wild, how to take care of her own wounds and how to fish.

Rabbit is a master in the use of teleportation. She can move instantaneously from one point to another, giving her an edge when it comes to movements that few others possesses, or can control like she can. It can be used both defensively and offensively. Defensively she can use it to quickly retreat to a safer position or dodge an incoming attack. Offensively she can use it to flank an enemy, appear right next to or above them, to then attack and retreat before they have gotten a chance to react if she executes the movement well. Her skills in capoeira come in handy when combined with her teleportation. Transposon within her genes makes it all possible.

She can teleport objects as well, dropping them next to or above people. If the object is already moving she can change its course.

Rabbit can also create teleportation warps, just like Blink in Days of Future Past. She can use it to move allies from one point to another to avoid harm coming to them. Against an attacking enemy it could be used to move them in a way that they end up missing their target and hitting something else or nothing.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: When teleporting objects she can't teleport an object that she wouldn't be able to lift on her own, nor can she teleport objects inside of other people. While she can teleport her own body long distances, she needs to see the areas where she places teleportation warps, making them short distance only. The longest she's ever been able to teleport in one jump was 1km, but the longer a distance she covers in one jump the more fatigued she becomes, which means she's more effective in a battle if she only uses short distance leaps. It becomes easier if she knows the area she's teleporting too well, and harder if she doesn't.

Her most striking feature is her thick, untameable curly hair which she wears naturally – almost like a lion's mane.

Disregarding her unattractive, apple-shaped figure, she is still decently pretty by conventional standards. Her skin is extremely dark, more so than most of her family, but it is relatively untouched by acne and other problems that puberty brings. Jenna James learned fairly early on how to apply make-up so as to 'hide' the perceived problems with her facial structure. As a result, highlighting and contouring techniques hide the sagging eye sockets, thin the too-wide nose and emphasise her favourite feature – lips in a perfect cupid's bow shape.

Attire:
Jenna James lives in a bad part of town; therefore, it is not uncommon for her apparel to be called “trashy” – particularly by bullies. Outward & Innate Personality:
Jenna James appears to be a reserved girl, often lurking at the back end of groups and hard to notice at first. She is always friendly, if slightly distant, and willing to talk to anyone; however, it is clear she is wary of anyone she meets – distrustful enough to leave out key information and force conversation to easier, more general topics like the weather. Her attempts at this can be clumsy and obvious. Insults thrown her way seem to be shrugged off; she has a particularly thick-skin.

In reality, she is shy. It is a trait not earned naturally but rather from years of verbal abuse and psychological warfare during school and even in her own home; a case of “once bitten, twice shy” when it comes to social interactions. Jenna James finds herself baffled by the slightest kindness but often clings to it like a lifeline. Her thick-skin is just a front. While she can take criticism well from strangers as she has done all her life (by refusing to listen), if it is from the mouth of a friend or family member it is shattering to her already fragile self-esteem.

Hobbies/Interests:
Her hobbies are urban exploration, creating street art (sometimes for a commission) and photography. She also takes an interest in the history of her town, particularly the most gruesome of murder mysteries.

Psychometry – “The user obtains historical memories or sensations concerning beings and objects they can observe by their senses.
Jenna James has a form of psychometry wherein if she touches an object or living organism, she is immediately drawn into the strongest (unseen) memory, usually linked to times of high emotion. The memory is always from first person, and she never has control over what has been seen – only that if she touches an item or person again she will not receive the same vision. From these, she can learn of events – like murders – where the evidence was hidden and piece it together from there.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks:
– Jenna James cannot stop a memory once she is subject to it and so must wait it out, no matter how long it takes. Although time passes differently and an hour inside the vision may only be a minute or so outside, it can (and will) earn her strange looks as her eyes cloud over and she stands perfectly still.

– The emotions she feels most connected to are terror, anger, embarrassment and crippling loneliness as the pleasanter options like love and happiness are far rarer in River Hill. Since she must relive the memory as one of the person(s) affected by it, she will experience those emotions flooding her system. It may well have a physical effect on her, with terror speeding up her heart rate and adrenaline production.

– Jenna James' subconscious mind picks up small slivers of nonsensical memories too, and as a result her dreams are plagued with confusion and characters that she has never met before. She rarely gets a good night's sleep as a result, even when psychometry is taxing on her mental state and she needs the rest.
OTHER

– Has a meta-human boyfriend named Malcolm ("Mal") whose power is the opposite of hers – a form of what appears to be precognition. He is a supporter of the Vanguard but has recently turned to private investigation, mostly because they make a wicked double act. The team's services have always been open to the gang.

– Every time she receives a vision, a miniscule part of her genome changes. It is not clear what this is for or doing to her body overall. This change is unrelated to the transposon discovered to be linked to her powers as it causes the mutation.

A knockout, a bombshell, etc. She resembles an old 40s pin-up model, and has that vague sense about her that you’ve seen her before, but you just can’t put your finger on who she is. May’s hair is wavy and flows smoothly, meticulously conditioned and cared for. She’s white, with a slight tan and a curvy, well-endowed physique. She has ridden out the tsunami of puberty rather gracefully, and if she ever hit the “parts of me are growing much faster than other parts of me” phase of adolescence, she has long since matured past it. May really does look like a movie star-she seems to have that “glow” about her. I don’t often make very attractive characters, so I’m content coming right out and saying May’s stellar in the looks department. She seems to be able to turn the “glow” on or off at will. When it’s off, her hair seems to fall a little more naturally, she walks with a hint of a hunch, and her face is normally passive. When it’s on, she’s ramrod straight, hair falling perfectly into place, a stellar, practiced-in-the-mirror smile across her face, and it’s so dazzlingly white and genuinely gleeful you can’t help but grin back. Her face is devoid of acne or blemishes, likely due to the eternal vigilance of May with skin products of questionable origin and even more questionable results. She walks gracefully, like she’s floating on air, and whatever form she assumes has that same grace and glamour to it. May’s a knock-out. Not much more to it. Outward & Innate Personality:

May is a lovely little bundle of psychological fuckery. She has a great many issues, foremost of which is severe, severe loneliness. May is desperate for interaction, approval, and friendship. To this end, she is willing to sacrifice anything to achieve it. This is May’s driving goal. She is a good girl. She is nice, genuinely sweet, and likes others. However, if someone truly fucked up came across her path, she’d turn that way in a heartbeat if it meant getting a sliver of affection. She is vain to this end, her natural appreciation for gorgeous aesthetics intensified by the desire to be perceived as beautiful, hoping it would boost people’s opinions of her. Losing her physical form only worsened this. To clarify: May is naturally nice, honest, and caring. She is capable of being cold and cruel very easily if she receives affection for it. May’s perception of the world and perception of herself has become warped by many, many years (May is never really clear on the passage of time, and doesn’t really seem aware of what year it is) of isolation, and she is hell-bent on keeping that from happening again. May up-plays her silliness and frivolity and downplays her intelligence and serious nature to try and garner more attention. She believes these traits are easily to get along with-that of a pretty-to-look-at bimbo rather than someone smart who, originally, didn’t give two fucks about makeup and hair. Okay, what was originally a very in-depth explanation of May’s abilities was wiped away. So we’re doing this shit in bullet point form.

-May is no longer in possession of a physical body. She now exists as a soul: a detached consciousness that’s cable of possessing objects or items.
-May can be killed if the “vessel” she is in is destroyed. Outside of that, she’s effectively immortal.
-May, while within a vessel, is capable of controlling it. This only applies to non-living things. With permission, she can control living things.
-May is capable of greatly boosting whatever her vessel is. She can improve tremendously upon whatever/whoever she possesses, removing normal inhibitors and making it far more efficient and powerful. She’s able to micromanage the functions of whatever she’s in, down to the molecular level.
-May’s psyche suffers the strain of these activities. Moving out from one person’s sway to another causes her to suffer light amnesia and psychological strain. Using her abilities too hard will have similar results.
-May can only make changes with proper permission. As a result, she is restricted to a pure “spectator” position if her host doesn’t want her doing anything. Similarly, if the host wills her away, May will be pushed out of her host’s body and have to move into a vessel nearby.
-While May can greatly improve the properties of the object she’s in, May can’t fundamentally change that object. She may be able to make the Thunderbird crazy fast and ridiculously fuel efficient, but she can’t make it fly.

Cassidy’s slender. Her arms, legs, and torso are all skinny, albeit this is normally masked a bit by her ensemble. She’s visibly quirky, a mischievous and mysterious smile almost constantly tugging at the ends of her thin pink lips. Cassidy normally stands upright, solid posture with a smooth, flowing gait. She moves like she’s floating, sounding as if she’s tiptoeing even in a full sprint. Cassidy’s voice matches her gait, as a matter of fact: there’s a faint hint of a Southern drawl to her words, but they’re otherwise sounding as if she’d practiced her off-the-cuff remarks in the mirror for hours before saying them. She has the voice of a storyteller or orator-she talks and you just kinda naturally listen, because her voice is easy on the ears.

Cassidy’s eyes. Hoo boy. I’m sure your first thought, upon seeing “one blue, one green” was that she’s a Mary Sue. Well, that’s not quite true. She’s like the mother of all Mary Sues. No, but really, Cassidy’s eyes seem to change in color in-between blinks at times, or in-between appearances. This phenomena’s subtle, and given that Cassidy likes to wear glasses, masks, etc, rather frequently, this effect often goes unnoticed. Especially as it’s never an outright change, from neon green to sky blue. Rather, she skips around between the shades in-between.

Cassidy’s wasn’t blessed with the hourglass figure that beauty magazines stress as the ideal form. There’s a slight curve from her modest chest to her skinny waist, but, well, to put it crudely, Sir Mix-A-Lot’s anaconda wouldn’t want none. Her face is almost diamond shape, with a rounded chin and a mess of hair concealing this trait a bit. Her hair is something that Cassidy loves to play with and mix up: frequently, she goes for the “hair draped over one eye” look, styling her bangs down and at an angle to cover one eye or the other. Her hair’s fairly short, but long enough to pull off stunts such as this. I don’t know enough about women’s hairstyles to go into much more depth here.

S-to-the-tylish. Ya dig? Cassidy enjoys suits. These are normally purple or blue, with a collar tie that’s typically a little askew or a teensy bit too loose, tucked underneath the vest. Yeah I’m fucking up all these terms I don’t wear suits that often. Completing the ensemble is typically an inverness coat and a top hat. While her style may be a century and a half late, you can’t say it’s not there. Her clothing is eerily clean. Occasionally, depending on the look she’s going for, she’ll carry her sheath on her belt, but it’s usually empty. On her left cheek is a small, diagonal dueling scar. The angle at which it’s positioned gives her an appearance of having an almost perpetual upturned grin, like she’s constantly (playfully) smirking at some joke she’s listening to.

Cassidy Lynn is the one who, as a child, took those stories about the fox outwitting the lion a little too seriously. She’s a trickster, a schemer, a devious planner and, above all else, someone with a great sense of humor. Cassidy lives for the thrills of life, the adrenaline rushes and needless risks. She’s very clever-the sort of clever that could never find the time to do homework but always found time to think of silly questions. Cassidy loves a good challenge, a bet, or a mystery of any sort: problem solving, gambling, and adventuring all hold equal thrill to her. Cassidy’s the sort who’d want to fuck in the middle of a park with no concealment, at midnight, just for the risk of it. She’s got a bit of an impulsive streak, and while her from-the-seat-of-her-pants planning style often compensates for it, she can often find herself screwing herself over with dumb decisions or rash choices. Cassidy’s also one who’s hard to rattle. She has a very Zen philosophy on life, and merely seeks to have fun. It’s tough to get her riled up or concerned over too much-she has too much fun. For Cassidy, there’s a joke to be found anywhere, a riddle to be sifted through in even the bleakest tragedies. This can often alienate some, as she’s the sort to be giggling at a funeral or something similar. She’s kind, but not goes-out-of-her-way kind. Cassidy doesn’t get caught up very often in humanitarian causes and whatnot, but she’ll gladly do a performance-if it happens to help someone out, all the better, but she’s not out to save the world. She’s a big fan of pranks and general mischievousness and will likely, if left to her own devices, find some way to mildly annoy someone. Cassidy Lynn is capable of warping reality. Now, this power is obviously very, very powerful, so I’m going to go ahead and assuage your fears and what its limitations are.

First and foremost, think of reality as having inertia. Time and space have momentum. The chair you are sitting in will stay a chair until something with sufficient force comes along and fucks it up sufficiently to make it not a chair. That’s physics, bitches. Subsequently, Cassidy has to exert a tremendous amount of energy to cause even minor changes in how something works. And, something something uncertainty principle something something Schrodinger’s cat something something, she’s able to achieve this more easily if there’s no direct observation.

Sleight of hand. Misdirection. Confusion. This is how Cassidy operates. Where she is weak, she feigns strength. No one’s quite sure of what she can do-if she’s a metahuman or merely a very skilled human magician.

In other words, Cassidy Lynn won’t be doing anything very drastic. Doing so would nearly cripple her. Reality also wants to return to normal: so if she changes something, it’s likely to change back to normal when she stops focusing on it. Distracting Cassidy or incapacitating her is a good way to fuck up her trickery. She does, however, have several practiced, got-‘em-down-cold forms of space-time warping that she can do easily and effectively. They are as follows.

Teleportation. Cassidy’s not Nightcrawler. She’s not poofing off half a mile away, or even doing chains of teleportation to make her impossible to hit. Rather, Cassidy employs a very direct, very short form of teleportation. Again, this is made easier if she’s not being directly observed. She only bends things a bit-she darts around a corner, and when you turn to follow, she’s halfway down the hall. She closes a door behind her, and when you barge in to follow, she’s back out in the hall. Small nudges. Nothing drastic. Anything beyond ten feet is outside of her capabilities. She can “double jump” of sorts, but it’s a strain. If she’s not being actively observed, this is much easier.

Conjuration. From nothing, something. This is primarily done in the form of rabbits from hats and doves from hats. Really, Cassidy doesn’t do too much else with this, although she’ll occasionally conjure up very minor things. Again, this takes significant practice and is quite the strain, even for small objects. Cassidy has rabbits and doves down cold, however. She can’t command them, but she can produce a decent number of the latter quickly. They normally last for a minute or so before fading away unless she actively focuses on it. Conjuration’s tricky, and it’s hard to make the objects last. The exception is if she’s conjuring something and swapping it out so to speak. For example, Cassidy’s playing poker, and she has four 2’s. She can change those to four aces with ease because swapping out playing cards is nothing. Swapping out those playing cards with hammerhead sharks would be very difficult and also ruin Tuesday Poker Night.

Sleight of hand. Unless anyone else claims it, I’m marking Cassidy as the top dog in terms of reflexes and grace. Her ability allows her to perceive reality more naturally, and as such she can see cause and effect coming a little more easily. This is nothing so drastic as precognition-but rather, once something has happened, she knows about it more quickly. Much more quickly. Cassidy’s hand-eye coordination and dexterity are superb. She’s quite sneaky. No drawback here-this is Cassidy’s one solid, combat-ready power.

Mirror Mirror. Cassidy’s power draws on the existence of other universes, and the malleability of the one she’s currently in. As a result, mirrors, those lovely little reminders of ourselves, offer a unique vantage point for Cassidy. When in front of a mirror, Cassidy is capable of jumping into it, becoming her reflection in the mirror. She can bounce in and out rather quickly, which makes her an absolute bitch to find in a house of mirrors, but most importantly, it seems to let her vanish into thin air…if the mirror is shattered, Cassidy is exorcised. Painfully. She also has to hold her breath and such while in the mirror.

Cards. Cassidy’s a beast with playing cards, both in terms of card tricks, card games, and throwing cards. While most people can’t throw cards accurately, and basically no one can use cards as a weapon, Cassidy’s capable of doing so. Her power lets her put a bit of oomph into her throws, and her reflexes let her throw them and place them accurately. She can toss a playing card and have it hit with the force of a medium-speed fastball. Nothing that would kill someone, or even come close, but she can pepper her enemies with painful strikes to buy herself time to get away. Playing cards are easily deflected by strong breezes or anyone who’s not a hemophiliac.

Pocket dimensions. Cassidy’s capable of tucking objects away into a hyperspace of sorts, and retrieving them. This process takes energy relative to the size of the object, so trying to disappear an entire car would be next to impossible. But someone’s car keys? Well, that wouldn’t be anything at all.(“ Perhaps check under the cushions, I’m sure they fell down there…”) Strong blows can disorient Cassidy and open up the pockets, resulting in (comically) things seeming to fall out of nowhere around her.

He's a fairly large and well-built man, but his size is easily overlooked by his habit of slouching and his withdrawn body posture, giving him the appearance of someone rather small and vulnerable. His long, deep-red hair is usually pulled back in a ponytail, with a lock hanging over his face, and he insists on keeping himself as well-groomed, clean and fresh-smelling as he can possibly afford.

Attire: Al's wardrobe mostly consists of thick sweaters, slacks and oxford shoes, giving him an oddly "preppy" appearance, though more say that he looks like his mother dressed him. His outfit is sometimes accentuated by suspenders, jackets or earrings.

Outward & Innate Personality: Al appears to most to be an immature, emotionally underdeveloped person. He acts quite childishly, with frequent mood swings between naive excitement, shallow sadness, or petty anger. He's exceptionally gullible and easy to influence, as he often bends to the whims of others when presented with confrontation. Even so, he is a generally cheerful and positive person, easy to be around and get along with. Despite his apparent childishness, he is not perturbed by criminal activities, though that is not to say he enjoys them. If ordered to kill a man, he would comply without complaint, but would be eager to get the experience over with. Al is surprisingly intelligent and quick-witted, though his naivety and emotional issues often block his better judgment. He also has an odd habit of putting emphasis on strange words when speaking.

Hobbies/Interests: Al has a great interest in motor scooters, vintage fashion, perfume and Italian cuisine.

Skills/Talents: Al is a surprisingly competent hand-to-hand fighter, trained in judo and boxing, and is surprisingly strong. Well-practiced in criminality, he is versed in the skills of the mafioso, trained in the "Old Country," and he speaks Italian fluently. He's also a very good cook, and has a curiously sensitive sense of smell.

History/Bio: Al and his brother Zac were identical twins born in a women's prison in Louisiana. Their mother was a convicted prostitute and drug-dealer, and their father was one of the prison guards. After a long and troublesome gestation, the boys were born in the prison infirmary and were promptly sent away to live with their mother's brother in Baton Rouge. Their uncle was a priest, who raised them to the best of his ability, though the two proved to be a troublesome pair, often getting into trouble together, though Zac seemed to be the instigator most of the time. Their mother eventually was released on probation, and came to live with her sons. Having reformed from criminality, they lived a fairly happy life until a sudden and unexplained house fire claimed the lives of their uncle and mother.

Al and Zac moved to New Orleans, where Al finished school as Zac supported them with less-than-legal activities. While Al was able to complete his education without much issue, he often got involved with Zac's dealings, and had to cover for him or support him in his endeavors fairly often. Before long, Zac began running with a genuine gang, and Al was attempting to be accepted into culinary school. The otherwise inseparable boys then parted ways, as Zac's gang was brought down by a vigilante metahuman and he was incarcerated, and Al was accepted into a prestigious Italian culinary school. Bidding his brother farewell, he set off to Naples to live his dream as a chef.

However, old habits die hard, and due to running with the wrong crowd and a few shady dealings, Al ended up becoming involved in the Mafia. He worked as a low-level Soldato for some years while still attending culinary school. At this time, his metahuman ability awoke, giving him an edge over his fellow criminals. As he was about to rise in the ranks of the the mob, he was given a summons by his brother, back in New Orleans, who had apparently escaped from prison. Returning was tricky for Al, who was now neck-deep in the ties of the Mafia, but Zac quickly silenced those that would trouble his brother for returning home.

Al returned to the Big Easy to find his brother a very changed man, the most notable difference being that he also possessed a metahuman ability, and a terrifyingly powerful one at that. Zac had strange ambitions and plans, which apparently required Al's participation. Never one to be able to say no to his brother, Al was quickly swept up in this latest scheme, still mostly unaware of his role in it. He is currently en route to the city of Mendal to meet a contact in the "Skulls" gang, with whom his brother arranged an initiation meeting and appraisal.

Family: His only living family is his twin brother, Zaccaria Nazo.

He can only see ten seconds into the future, but in that span of time he can also see the various outcomes any action that he could take would result in, giving him various, overlapping futures that he can essentially pick and choose from.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Al can only "slow" or "speed up" time, only able to apply one effect at a time, rather than juggle multiple effects. His precognition also does not function while he is altering the perceived flow of time.

Other: Al and Zac provide an interesting case to the subject of Nature vs. Nurture, as despite sharing a genome, they have shockingly different personalities.

An aura of a true killer surrounds this man; he gives off no impressions of being merciful, ambivalent, or even really human. Prison tattoos cover his arms and upper body, mostly depicting the destroyed iconography of gangs that he dismantled while incarcerated. His long hair generally hangs about his head in a loose curtain, and Zac's appearance strikes an odd balance between "meticulously groomed" and "fashionably unkempt."

Attire: Zac has a preference for fine suits and jewelry (red naturally being his color of choice), though he also has a curious fixation with mesh shirts and leather trousers. He frequently wears makeup, usually consisting of black lipstick, mascara and black nail polish.

To him, "people," are either tools to be used toward his own ends or obstacles to be overcome. He has a chillingly cold and calculating intelligence, unclouded by emotions such as empathy and pity. Outwardly blunt and harsh, few people actually come to meet him, as he has a strange obsession with obscuring his own identity.

Hobbies/Interests: Other than his interests in criminal enterprises and keeping his identity a secret, he has unsurprisingly disturbing interests in instruments of torture, the history of genocide, and the application of psychological warfare.

Skills/Talents: Zac is a superb criminal, specializing in the arts of assassination. An excellent shot with a pistol, a skilled knife-fighter, and is able to use his surprising strength to his advantage when killing a man with his bare hands. He is also an exceptional tactician, with a mind for numbers, strategy and manipulation.

Only two years into his incarceration, Zac's metahuman abilities awakened, and his role within the prison shifted overnight. He became feared throughout the institution for his seemingly uncounterable power, even guards paying him tribute. The next few years were spent planning, as Zac plotted his re-emergence into society, and what he could accomplish with his newfound power. He escaped practically on a whim, and then set about enacting his plans. His first step was to erase himself from "the system," at large, killing almost everyone that had ever known his name, destroying any possible records, hunting down and killing his father, and even burning down the prison in which he and Al were born. His next step was to extract grisly vengeance on the surviving members of Passion, even those that had taken the fall for their superiors' crimes. The next step of his plan required his brother.

Al was summoned back to Louisiana, Zac ensuring to assassinate any mafiosos that sought to retain him by force, and was given his role in Zac's strange, ongoing plot. Zac called up a contact he made in prison,a member of the "Skulls" gang in Mendel, setting up a meeting for his brother to be accepted into the notorious metahuman gang.

Family: His only living family is his twin brother, Alphonse Nazo.

Power: Zac can alter the temporal perception of himself, or those in his general vicinity, either speeding it up or slowing it down. He can also differentiate affecting the perception of one's body, one's mind, or both. He also has a rather advanced sense of precognition. He can only see ten seconds into the future, but in that span of time he can also see the various outcomes any action that he could take would result in, giving him various, overlapping futures that he can essentially pick and choose from. Zac's most dangerous ability, however, is to "erase time." For a period of up to ten seconds, Zac can remove himself from causality and induce a localized state wherein only he can perceive events and act within them. Anyone caught in his ability behaves as they normally would during that time, but upon time "resuming," they lack all memories of what transpired during the events of the "time erasure." To anyone caught in Zac's ability, time seems to have "skipped forward," leaving a gap in their perception of time.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Al can only "slow" or "speed up" time, only able to apply one effect at a time, rather than juggle multiple effects. His precognition also does not function while he is altering the perceived flow of time, including during his "time erasure."

Other: Al and Zac provide an interesting case to the subject of Nature vs. Nurture, as despite sharing a genome, they have shockingly different personalities.

Ethnicity: Is Octopusian an ethnicity?
Physical Appearance: Tobias Wright exists as a vaguely humanoid shape standing at about 5’6” and weighing around 100 lbs. In his base form, Tobias looks pretty much like an octopus/human hybrid. His limbs (all six of them) and torso have very little muscle definition, and are generally skinny, and for a cephalopod looks slightly overweight, with a pot belly. He has no evidence of any joints or bones anywhere in his body. His arms come down to points like tentacles, and the back side of the part where the hands would be is covered in suction cups. He has three pairs of these arms, each pair set slightly below the pair above them. His legs are much thicker than his arms and end with the same type of suction cup foot. Having no bones, Tobias has sh*t posture. He appears as if he’s being held up by marionette strings, sometime leaning forwards and sometimes backwards. His head is the oddest part of his body, with aspects of both a man and an octopus. It stems from an average-sized thick neck that looks more muscular than his arms. His face is flat and tall, with a curved forehead. He has a human-looking mouth and a rounded jaw line that sags slightly (due to his lack of bones). His teeth are black in color, and are pointed like an octopus’ beak. He has twenty teeth, with ten on the top and ten on the bottom. They are the only hard parts of his entire body. Tobias’ eyes are shaped like that of an octopus’ eyes, with a gold-and-orange white surrounding a long, elliptical pupil facing horizontally (if that didn’t make sense, google it). They are in relatively the same position on his face as human eyes. His nose is like a snake’s, a slight bump with two vertical slits. Tobias’ brain is held in a sack that looks like an octopus’ mantle that sags from the back of his head. His ears exist as two slits on either side of the base of the mantle. Toby’s voice is...odd, to say in the least. His voice is very muffled, and he has a rather obvious lisp (because his teeth are no longer human-shaped).

Attire: Nerd. Toby always dresses somewhat-formally. Khakis are a staple of his wardrobe, and his shirt is usually some sort of Oxford-style short-sleeved shirt with a plaid or striped design. Toby has a special tailor in town who makes him his shirts, so they’re six-armed (he really hates when they get ripped because they’re expensive). He doesn’t wear shoes because he can’t walk with them on. When in the lab, Toby wears a lab coat. The coat does not have six arms, and so four of them protrude from the inside of the coat and

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Tobias is a brainchild. He is incredibly intelligent, and has just enough common sense to keep himself from looking like a total moron (emphasis on total). He is one of those people who talksextremelquicklyandseemstogiveyoucompleteandtotalinformationoverloadwheneveryoutrytoaskhimaquestion. He’s one of those people who loves to hear himself talk. He is very prideful due to his advanced intellect, and doesn’t mind showing off. Once could not describe Toby as lazy,per-say, but he certainly will take a computer over handwork any day. He is rather self-conscious, and avoids looking into mirrors. When he’s near someone who he likes (like, romantically) he will retreat his tentacles into his shirt to make himself look less freakish. He is also rather socially awkward, possessing few social graces. Many people find him to be incredibly annoying at times. He has a fear of lampreys (because they’re f*cking weird) as well as trypophobia; the fear of clusters of small holes (don’t look it up. It transfers electronically. I’m not joking).

Hobbies/Interests: Tobias once wanted to be a marine biologist, and still has an interest in aquatic life. Many times, one can find Toby at the aquarium, watching the fish (though his true passion is genetics). He has a thing for Rubik’s cubes, and keeps a collection of them on a shelf near his desk in his office. He likes to read, especially science journals and science fiction. His favorite book is Brave New World. Toby is into video games as well in his free time. Television-wise, he watches a lot of BBC and Animal Planet. Planet Earth is his favorite show to watch, though he also likes River Monsters and Mythbusters. His favorite movie is Awakenings.

Skills/Talents: Well firstly, you’d be hard-pressed to find a man smarter than Tobias Wright, at least in his fields of expertise (biology, genetics, and mathematics). Partially due to his abilities, he has an IQ of 240. He is a chess grandmaster, and holds the world record for Rubik’s cube solving.

History/Bio: Tobias was born in San Francisco. As soon as he was born, he looked...different. Toby was born with transparent skin and octopus-like eyes, a partial manifestation of his extreme genetic mutation in his structural chromosomes. Doctors at the time of his birth didn’t completely understand metahumans, and so while they knew that he was one, they didn’t really know how to treat him. Because of this, Toby’s childhood was filled with a long litany of doctor’s visits and treatments for diseases that he never had. Unluckily, Toby’s father was a doctor, and so his son got the best in unnecessary medical treatments. When Toby was five, his arms began to turn into tentacles, and his father had him treated for muscular dystrophy. At age seven, when his other arms began to sprout, his father tried to have the arms removed. This failed, and soon Toby Wright was a nice young octopus child. His father was horrified, especially when his son’s skeleton began to dissolve. Toby’s father, being a bigshot in the San Francisco medical community, decided to send Toby to a boarding school when he turned thirteen, and so Toby went off to an Academy in Maine, where he learned how to use his powers and cultivated his sharp mind. He developed an anger against his father, and vowed to never have to rely on him for anything. Toby got into college himself, via a full ride to Stanford. He got a PhD in genetics (as he was interested in his own genetics) at age 24, and also got a minor in marine biology. He left college a new man, both physically and mentally (his mutation finally matured to the point where he looked like he looks now). From there, Toby decided to attempt to research metahumans, and went to Mendel University to do such. He has been there ever since. (Bad bio, but whatever).

Power: Tobias has the powers of the mystical floppy-floppy spider of the deep, the octopus. Firstly, he is an invertebrate, which is both a strength and a weakness. It is a strength because it allows Tobias to be able to fit through any hole larger than his teeth (he can fold them up to fit through things) and makes him extremely strong, as his limbs are made almost entirely of muscle. It is a weakness, however, because without bones, Tobias has no way to protect his organs from damage (although he does have bands of muscle around his vital organs that provide him with some protection, though this isn’t as good of protection as a skull or ribcage would grant). Secondly, Tobias is a color magician. His skin is packed with chromatophores, cells that can control the release of pigment. Because of these cells, Tobias has the ability to change his color to match any background almost perfectly. His invertebrate nature also allows him to change his shape and texture, making him extremely good at camouflage. The more he studies an object, the better he is able to camouflage as it. His hands are another vital ability. The suction cups allow him to scale walls and other flat objects with relative ease Each suction cup can rotate and grasp independently, and can taste/smell what they touch. Because of his powerful eyes, Tobias can see infrared light, giving him a sort of thermal vision. He can pick out people hiding with ease (although this sense is thwarted by large amounts of plants or animals). He has the ability to breathe underwater.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Due to the shape and small size of his ears, Tobias has poor hearing. He is now something of a glass cannon-without bones to absorb the impact of blows and protect his internal organs, Tobias is in danger of severe harm even from blunt trauma or what were before minor wounds. Secondly, his new octopus nature has changed his blood from relying on hemoglobin to transport oxygen: he will find himself less efficient in warmer environments, particularly out of the water. In the cold and the wet, he will excel, but otherwise, he may find himself drawing short of breath or getting light-headed if he overexerts himself. Also, and most importantly, is his lifespan. The octopus in real life lives a rather short lifespan dedicated to breeding. Once they mate, they die. Because of this, octopi age very quickly. So does Tobias; Toby’s cells age very quickly, shortening his life span. Because of this, Tobias probably will not live very long.

On first glance, Malcolm is typical of a young Japanese man, if a bit taller than the average. He is of a fairly athletic build with powerful, lean muscles from kendo. Strangely, his most noticeable and interesting feature is his hands – freakishly large, with long, spidery fingers and callouses from holding a shinai. Small, silvery patches of psoraisis are visible on his bare elbows and forearms.

Malcolm can be considered handsome and has told as much in the past, particularly with reference to his strong jawline and straight nose. With permanently furrowed brows and dark eyes allowing little light to pass through them, intimidating is another word that springs to mind. His shoulder-length hair is wavy, often slicked back from his forehead and held in place by reading glasses, but there are a few erratic streaks of grey that have snuck in amongst the black.

He is softly spoken with a particularly low-toned voice. Malcolm's lips are often chapped with peeling skin, mostly because of an obvious habit for biting them in anxiousness. Despite his powerful build, he tends to slouch and slump over, as well as walk staring at the ground and avoiding eye-contact.

Attire: On most occasions, Malcolm is generally unkempt. His clothes are often wrinkled, his collar untucked, his shoelaces untied and his pockets hanging out and empty. It is painfully obvious, however, that what he wears is expensive and well-tailored, even if he doesn't take care of it, as it fits his form snugly. A typical outfit for Mal consists of a button-down shirt (of varying colours), black trousers and his favourite pair of scratched and tattered brown Brogue boots.

If he ever needs to hide his face, which he does often, he wears a plastic mask with a fox's face etched into it. The back of it ironically reads 'Made in China'.
PERSONALITY

Outward & Innate Personality:
Malcolm is horribly, disgustingly, chronically shy and – for the most part – terrified of social interaction with anyone outside his family (and girlfriend). Walking down the street, he would keep his eyes firmly locked to the pavement in front of him so as not to notice or have to smile at anyone he knew. A conversation or even a brief 'hello' gone awkwardly would haunt him for days and weeks as he considered what was and could have been if he'd only done it correctly. His self-esteem is low and anything bad that happens is always his fault even when it's clearly not.

In general, he is disinterested with normal, mundane life and was even before his powers began to manifest at the age of fourteen. Malcolm is apathetic towards his university work and truants more than he ought to. He only attends because his grandmother insists that it is the path to a good job and a future of running his family's business – not that he wants to. Malcolm's lack of confidence doesn't stop him from aspiring to be a hero, using his life and power for something more... though he is too timid to take the first step of any action on his own.

Malcolm is a not-so-secret romantic and ridiculously mushy at that. He's the flowers and poetry sort, rather protective over his girlfriend. This is a reflection of his overall loyalty – if he's friends with someone it is for forever; if he loves, it is eternally. Nobody ever said his poetry had to be good.

Hobbies & Interests:
Malcolm's hobbies include kendo (as a sport) and watching MMA fighting, mostly to test and train his precognitive abilities. He also has begun to take an interest in old murder cases – specifically the cold ones – and runs a local, mildly famous blog that was featured in a newspaper for showing the steps he and his girlfriend are taking to solve said crimes. For a bit of fun on the side, he takes on 'regular P.I' cases that are requested of him, like to find out if a lady's husband is cheating on her.

Skills & Talents:
Malcolm is excellent at kendo and as a teenager travelled across the states for various competitions, often placing in the top three if not winning altogether. This extends to an ability to use blunt weapons quite effectively in combat. He is extremely smart, having coasted through high school with straight-As without studying for a single one of them, mostly because of his brilliant memory. Perhaps it is related to his abilities but he has a talent for keen observation, often picking up details that others may miss. Despite not having had lessons for many years, he still remembers how to play the piano, to an extent.

Prized Possession: Laptop – runs his local P.I empire from there and also contains frightening details and clues to solving cold cases including copies of gory, hand-drawn images from Jenna James' psychometry. Accelerated Probability – “The user can sense all the variables of any situation, predict the outcomes and what choices one should make to reach the conclusion they want.

Malcolm's ability, dubbed 'precognition' by his girlfriend, is not a true representation of being able to see the future. His brain is working overtime to process every miniscule detail from the weather to a human's body language in an effort to find the easiest and most successful path to the intended conclusion. When he stands still and has time to prepare, this takes the form of a vision – a branching tree that he follows, imagining the different outcomes – whereas in combat he is only given a flash of intuition on what way to move to dodge an attack and has no knowledge of what the follow up will be until his power next activates. The time difference between both types is about 10 seconds, which could be life or death in combat if they ever got mixed up.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks:
– Malcolm's accelerated probability only works when there is a living variable, an 'opponent', to the situation and when he can see that person (either partial or direct line-of-sight). He could never predict a tree about to fall on top of him from natural causes. Since it relies on reading subtle body language like the shifting of feet and the tightening of lips, masks and armour make it far more difficult to predict attacks accurately unless he knows the person behind it all.

– Malcolm's accelerated probability works infinitely better when he knows the variables intimately. It is more accurate and more likely to bring him to the intended conclusion. Therefore, he cannot order others around based on his ability as doing so brings in a whole host of other variables to overload his brain, as do unfamiliar settings. It forces him to be independent and go it alone.

– Overloading is a rarer problem with his ability when his brain gets bogged down with possible event trees, usually when there are more than four human variables to calculate in combat or if he has to compensate for only partial sight. In this case his body refuses to respond and becomes trapped in the 'vision' until he is pushed out of it or it finishes, whichever comes first. If he is forced out of it, his ability is thrown off-kilter for a period of time.

– Sometimes, there is just no possible path that can be taken, a 0% probability of catching a criminal or avoiding a blow. Likely because they're faster or more powerful than he is. In such a case, he is not able to find the 'next best option' and has to suck it up. In addition to this, he has problems predicting meta-human abilities that he has never seen before as it becomes only guesswork. Although he is fairly new to his power, it is clear that it will work much better on those without any powers whatsoever and is designed with that in mind.

Physical Appearance: Nathan Kane is a muscular man, weighing a distinct eighty kilograms, thanks to multiple years of military training, and self exercise, and is also quite tall, weighing around a hundred and eighty five centimeters, translating into just above six feet, in Imperial terms. His body is seemingly at top form for his age, being able to best bodybuilders with many less winters on them, and is quite well built, although not outrageously so, due to a dense muscle structure. It applies to both parts of his body, and he has kept himself to a particular standard for his body, despite the fact that he doesn't actually need it that much, anymore.

He tends to give off the vibe of a very self confident personality, due to his particular facial shape, which is a gaunt, and square like face, with a powerful chin. His face is quite flat, with an odd nose, that seems to curl outwards at the end, but starting quite low, and flat. His forehead is also slightly small, but quite wide, making up for the loss of length in his forehead with width. All this is topped off with short black, turning grey, hair, which is incredibly stiff and coarse, but cut to a perfect three fourths of a centimeter, just to maintain his former Army look. This hair is usually left standing straight up, but in a formal environment, can be found combed down and forward, to just about jut outwards.

Attire: Nathan is quite fond of wearing suits, and spends quite a bit of money on acquiring them, and he does a very good sense of fashion, when it comes to formal wear, which is something incredibly odd for the large man. But due to the kind of wear and tear they'd have to experience with him, he usually buys wool, and reserves velvet for occasions, such as when he'd go to some place like a high profile night club.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Nathan is quite self confident, often to the point of arrogance, and seems to exert an aura of self satisfaction, as if he knows exactly what he's doing, although this is done on purpose, because of the practical applications of looking like that. He's an extrovert as well, often pushing outwards, and attempting to dominate any and all conversation, if it's not going the way he'd like it to be going, and he thrives on dissent and debate.

Arguing with others is quite enjoyable for him, but years of military training have made him smart enough to recognize when to shut up, and follow orders, and when he is able to bend the rules, although he often fails to do so.

Nathan is also persistent to the point of stupidity/stubbornness, and his resolve and determination is unshakeable. If he sets out to do something, he will not change his mind, and he will not stop.

He's not a very subtle person, preferring a shock and awe method for almost anything, and he often claims that his middle name is "Dynamic Entry".

He's also got a very terrible sense of humor, in the sense that nobody likes his jokes, which he makes constantly, even in terrible places they shouldn't be made. Example being him making jokes about dead people at a funeral, or him making PTSD jokes when under fire in Afghanistan. This is not to say it's morbid, but just very facetious and sarcastic.

Hobbies/Interests: For fun, he enjoys playing any sort of sport, getting into any one with some mediocre level of sportsmanship. Rugby is one of his personal favorites, although he is known to slam dunk occasionally, mainly because these are the only two sports he's actually anything near good at. He likes getting hammered all the way to the last floor of hell. And he has done this so often for the past twenty five years, that he's built up an uncanny resistance to hangovers, and through some miracle, or luck, manages some control over himself, even after having come to the maximum limit for alcohol in his blood.

There's also his love for muscle cars and guns, thanks to his almost redneck like upbringing in a family of big game hunters, and soldiers.

Skills/Talents: There's very few things Nathan is good at, but he manages to get by on a combination of luck and determination, and the fact that not many normal people will tell a hulking man to stop playing is horrendous attempt at playing Van Halen's Eruption

He knows how to play all three of the main guitar string instruments (the acoustic, the bass, and the electric), but is absolutely horrendous at all of them, and cannot play for shit. He knows this, but still tries to get it right.

He also knows the lyrics to virtually every single rock song from the eighties, and will not hesitate to sing them under his breath at any time.

But the few things he's good at are what make him. For example, he can be an expert marksman with a rifle, and knows how to put one together in record time. You want someone to drive a car as fast as possible, and not get killed? Nathan is your man. You want someone to cook lasagna for you? Nathan is your man. He can't really cook anything else from scratch, though.

His best ability, however, is his ability to work under pressure. He virtually thrives in such conditions, and its become so that his body will not respond to it with release of endocrines, but with the release of pure adrenaline, although that does make him terrible at things that require slow coordination and patience.

Prized Possession: Nathan's most prized possession is a single copy of Kill 'Em All, signed by Kirk Hammett, from back in the nineties.

Power: Nathan's power is quite weak, and can easily be described with two words, "Slight Augmentation". It essentially mean that every single aspect of him is only slightly augmented, making him only slightly above average in all fields, except perhaps mental intellect, where he's only above average because off experience.

For example, where another human, at the age of ten, would have struggled to have lifted a hunting rifle, he managed to lift and aim one, even if it was badly aimed.

Or, where the reflexes of another human being would not have allowed him to have survived a piece of falling equipment in a construction site, he would have managed to have jumped out the way, in the nick of time.

It’s rare that she goes outside when it’s not dark. She would fit well into a horror story when giving of such an eerie first impression to almost everyone. Her limbs are long and slender, with thin fingers that have had the nails painted black. Her toenails are usually painted black as well. She moves with confidence, yet strangely as if she’s injured or limping. Her hairstyle is short and spiky, in a punk way, with some medium sized spikes. Obviously her original hair colour is not white, and she dyes it whenever it begins to show too much of the original colour.

Her facial features are Asian, with slanted brown eyes and high cheekbones. She’s attractive, and draws attention both because of her eeriness and her beauty. It can be frightening combination depending on where a person meets her. Umi doesn’t have the body of someone who would fight using her hands or legs. She’s too feminine and pretty to consider dirtying herself by fighting hand-to-hand with anyone, unless it’s a matter of life and death, or in the bedroom.

Umi loves jewellery. She’s got a couple of long spine finger rings, on her right hand, which are made of silver and ends in claws. On her left hand she has two gold rings, one that is adorned with a diamond. She has a number of expensive necklaces which she changes every now and then. The only visible piercings she has are in her ears, and she wears extravagant jewellery in those too. She never wears any makeup that isn’t black, usually having black lipstick, eye shadow and eyeliner.

Attire: Umi always wears a long black coat, no matter the weather or time of year. She does have a few different ones that fit different seasons better though, with the lighter ones for summer and the warmer ones for winter. When she does go outside her apartment she mostly wears baggy clothes under her coat, making her look a bit like any common street thug, and she would probably have an easier time getting away with it if it wasn’t for her eerie appearance. She doesn’t wear any bright or colourful clothes, sticking to mostly black or dark colours. On her feet she wears sneakers, or other shoes that are good to walk in. Sometimes she’ll wear dresses or similarly feminine clothing, but that’s for special occasions or parties.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Umi lives by a personal code. Among other things, it tells her to leave those who aren't criminals, gangmembers or a nuisance alone. She steals from criminals without hesitation and keeps most of it for herself, thinking she'll earn enough in a few years to start a family with someone. She saves quite a bit of her money for this purpose, so her future family won't ever need money like she did when growing up. Umi is merciless, especially if someone threatened her or anyone which she considers to be under her protection. She’s slowly building her own legend. That crazy bitch who is bound to end up dead if she continues kicking the hornest nests, but as the years passes she's the one who remains alive. Those who oppose her disappears. She aspires to be more of an antihero than an actual hero, holding onto the belief that it's every man for himself in the hell that life is. Her personal code may make her seem like a good person to those few she helps, but to others she can be quite the nightmare.

Umi is a cynical woman who survives one day at a time, never staying too long in the same place, even if she does own an apartment somewhere in Mendel. She enjoys the company of other women, but hasn’t been able to maintain any relationship for a long period of time, as she becomes emotionally abusive towards those she claims she loves after a few months or weeks together. It may go against her code on some level, but she would claim that all’s fair in love and war, that they weren’t innocents. Umi is a nightowl, sleeping during the day and being up during the night.

Hobbies/Interests: Umi has got a taste for the darker things in life, whatever it may be. She enjoys snuff movies in particular, but horror and slasher movies work too. She's a gamer as well, playing a lot of online games against others and swearing like crazy when her team sucks or she loses. She’s secretly a fan of J-pop and cute anime shows, though she’d never admit it to anyone alive.

Skills/Talents: She's a skilled marksman, even if her favored weapon is a shotgun which she's had modified with gold parts. Great at keeping a low profile and hiding when she needs too. Excellent trapper. She can speak english and japanese, but her japanese is rusty since she doesn't get to use it a lot in real life. She's well liked among the poor that knows of her and has made a sort of network with them, but she's disliked by almost everyone else. She's pretty good at whistling and cooking.

Power Class: Power

Power: Replication: Umi can replicate herself and objects. Her power is mainly focused on quickly replicating herself, putting the replicants to use by either fighting foes or distracting others from the original. She can destroy the replicants of herself as fast as she created them. It's why she's active during the night and sleeps during the day. Under the cover of darkness, she can confuse others more easily and make it seem like they're being threatened by a larger number of people than just the one person. Her own replicants uses a replicated version of her shotgun to fight.

Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Transposon has some weaknesses, unfortunately. Umi cannot produce any more than six replicants at a time, and keeping that many up requires serious concentration, making the original almost defenseless and unable to move. If her replicants gets killed before she can retract them she feels a lesser version of their pain and would sustain wounds similar to the blows they took. Her own clones has a similar drawback, but she's practiced enough that she can make it appear beneath their clothes which is one of the reasons why she wears baggy clothes and a long coat. Keeping a replicant in existence for too long draws energy from her, making her weaker. Those replicants who remained in existence for longer than a couple of hours began to develop their own thoughts, which often went against the original's. If she replicates an object she needs to have a good understanding of how it works, or it's not going to be doing anything else than sitting there motionless and breaking whenever someone tries to use it. It's why she gives her clones replicants of the same weapon she has, as she knows how it works well. She couldn't replicate a car or more advanced technology in any other way than appearance.

Outward & Innate Personality: Mercedes has a variety of faces. Temptress, bimbo, housewife, and her favorite—total bitch. She considers herself somewhat of an actress, and as a stripper at the India Club she’s learned to wear these many faces around her customers, and the gangs that occupy all of Mendel. A proud woman, she takes pride in her job and is easily the house favorite at the club, but if you call her a whore, or put a move on her she won’t think to twice to slap some sense into someone. Because of her occupation many are quick to assume Mercedes to be unintelligent, or a slut, but she’s far from that. Graduating High School at the top of her class, and almost achieving a perfect score on her SAT tests, Mercedes is a high intelligent woman. With the money she makes working at the clubs and bars, she’s been able to keep her family financially afloat all while putting herself through medical school.

Emotionally Mercedes has become a hardened woman. Putting on a strong face for her brother, and grandmother she puts aside her stress and feelings for her family, and unfortunately bottles everything away. A vindictive bitch towards those who don’t show her respect, she’ll use pretty words and petty promises to manipulate her way close, and if she gets her way she’ll do whatever she can to dig up the juiciest dirt on her target. Her relationship with her friends and family is the drive that keeps her going, allowing her to work tirelessly and almost endlessly. While she has no affiliation with either gang, if anyone were to hurt her friends or family, she’d put her life on the line without a second thought if that meant getting revenge. She shows a rare kindness that only her brother, grandmother, and those that are close to her have seen. It’s not everyday that you’ll get a genuine smile out of her, but those who have seen it know their on her good side.

Hobbies/Interests: Working three jobs, Mercedes doesn’t have the time to partake in hobbies anymore. But before work became her world, she focused a lot of her time and attention on singing, and dancing. Even going out of her way to apply to different preforming arts schools in attempts to sharpen her skills. With goals to preform on Broadway, or on-stage one day, Mercedes dreams died out with her families financial stability, and before anyone noticed, they were long forgotten.

Skills/Talents: Since she was little Mercedes has always been a showstopper. Be it in front of her parents, or on-stage at school, she was always putting on a show and entertaining others. With the voice of an angel, and a natural in dance, and theatre, Mercedes decided to become a performer when she grew up. Of course, no one expected her talents would lead her to strip clubs, or empty venues. While fisticuffs is definitely not her forte, Mercy is good with a blade, or a gun, and obviously know's how to kill with both. Power Class: Biological, Anatomical, Empathetic

  • Power: Like her grandmother, Mercedes can restore and heal biotic organism to their optimal health, including plants and animals. From cuts, and burns, broken bones, and internal damage to the common cold, and intense migraines, all can be healed with the touch of her hand. This isn’t always quick process however; depending on the degree of the injury, or illness, it may take minutes to hours—even days for a wound to completely heal. Mercedes still has yet to reach her abilities full potential, but recently she’s found that with time and a willing patient, she can potentially cure detrimental emotions, trauma, and mental illness.


  • Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: While she is capable of healing most forms of bodily damage, her patient must be alive even if its by a thin thread. Mercedes cannot bring back the dead, no matter how many times she tried, or been pressured to try. While she has attempted, she can also not attach, or re-attach limbs. It’s a messy and nasty process that she’s hardly mastered, and an all around situation that she’d like to stay away from. It should be known that the healing process isn't painless either, in order for a wound to recover, the patient is put through the same pain they faced when receiving the injury. Aside from all of this, her abilities biggest drawback is that she cannot heal herself. Unlike her grandmother who was capable of healing herself in her younger days, it is suspected that Mercedes is unable to achieve this ability due to the transposon found in her DNA sequence, a mutation she and her grandmother do not share. Since she's been aware of her powers, and no matter the effort, Mercedes has never been able to heal herself, emotionally or physically.


Other: While her main job is at the India Club in East Mendel, she also works part-time at the Jolly Roger as a bartender, and more recently she acquired a job at a strip club called Cupid’s Corner, on Sinners Row. Because of her occupation, Mercedes has gotten 'close and personal' with number of gang affiliates and while most don't consider her a threat, Mercedes is the queen of information and gossip in East Mendel and most of the city. So with a little compensation and if she’s treated nicely, she’s the person to go to if you’re looking to dig up a little dirt on someone, be it a Vanguard, or a Skull.

Physical Appearance: Youthful, and handsome in appearance, Antonio is a tall and athletic looking boy. Years of recreational sports while in school has left his muscles nicely toned, and his body lean. His skin is a muddy brown, only a few shades darker then his sisters, which is all due to their hispanic heritage. Short, black wild hair sits at the top of his rectangle shaped head, and with a squared jaw and a flat chin, his face is evenly proportioned with only two noticeable scars; one above his left eyebrow, and the along the right side of his upper lip. Like his sister, Tony was gifted with prominent cheek bones and narrowed eyes, giving his face an attractive, yet intimidating appearance. While they aren’t his most favorite features, many—those people being Mercedes, and her friends—often compliment him on his long and thick eyelashes. Hidden beneath his gloves just beneath the palm of his hand, Tony shares the same tattoo as his sister; three black dots in the shape of a triangle.

Attire: Tony doesn’t really have a style, or a certain set of clothes he wears all the time. Depending on the weather, he’ll dress for the temperature and throw together what he thinks fits, but he’s almost always wearing fitted jeans, and the Skulls tradition black leather jacket. Apart from his head, Tony makes sure to cover most of his body, especially his hands. He keeps a special pair of black leather gloves on at all times, the material cracked and scraped along the knuckles of the gloves due to constant use.

Personality

Outward & Innate Personality: Antonio wasn’t always such a troubled boy. There was once a time he didn’t give two shits about what others thought of him, but now it’s the only thing he can seem to think about. He hides this anxiety away with a stern glare, and a silent and aggressive attitude. A devoted member to the Skulls, he treats his leaders with the utmost respect and is more then willing and ready to do anything to prove himself useful to the gang. When put into a serious situations, Tony tries to act tougher then he actually is, which tends to be noticeable to those who really know him. Lacking patience, and any real strategy, he has a tendency to rush into things which often leads to him getting hurt or things going sour.

In truth, he isn’t really such a stick in the mud. A real goob in front of his friends and family, Tony’s just a kid unsure of his future, who’s trying to find his way through life in whatever way he can. While dropping out of high school, and joining a gang may not have been the best decision at the time, it was the only one choice he had that was stable at the time. He has a burning passion to protect his friends, family, and territory. As a Skull he takes pride in his strength, and uses his reputation and power to protect those that matter to him the most.

Hobbies/Interests: Before joining the Skulls, Tony was active in a number of hobbies. The boy had a passion for sports, and the arts, and like his sister he was naturally talented in singing. With age he soon discovered rapping, and beat-boxing, a talent he soon found he had a natural skill for. Music had been his life, and once he turned 18 it died out with his interest in school, and college. Now a’ days if Tony isn’t sitting around at his house helping out his grandma, or driving around East Mendel on his motorcycle, he’s running around doing the dirty work for the Skulls, a job he’s almost too eager to do.

Skills/Talents: Since he was young, Tony has always been gifted in the arts. He can paint, draw, sing, dance, and act—a performer just like his sister—and just like his sister, these talents are now long forgotten or hidden away. While he isn’t smart enough to manipulate, or coerce people into doing things for him, Tony has his own personal methods of persuasion. Heavy handed, with the reflexes of a cat, Tony is one hell of a fighter, and can handle a one-on-one match with some of the best in the gang. Depending on his powers, and skills in hand-to-hand combat, Tony keeps a switch blade on him at all times for emergencies and tight situations.

    Power: Power Replication - Antonio has the rare ability to mimic, and attain the abilities and powers of any meta-human he comes into physical contact with. The longer the hold, the more of the ability he acquires (ex. After an extended hold Tony is capable of healing any physical ailments, along broken bones and damaged body tissue with Mercy’s powers. There’s even a possibility that with enough time, he’s capable of empathetic healing.). It can sometimes take Tony days to harness mimicked abilities, especially any he's had little contact with. This can sometimes leave him useless on the field, or causing uncontrollable destruction if he doesn't understand the ability enough. Only truly harnessing his power four years ago, it was at first thought that he had the same abilities as his sister, until the day he returned home with the ability to set things ablaze at will—A power he gained from interacting , or rather fighting, with another student from school. Because of this, Tony has yet to access his powers full potential leaving him with a number of a drawbacks.

    Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Capable of stacking abilities Antonio can only handle two set’s of powers at a time, while anymore would risk, what he likes to call, a 'power overload’. Acquiring more then two abilities slowly drains his mental state, leaving him with fast-paced thoughts, fidgety movements, and an unpredictable temper. There have been times that’s Tony has blacked and gone into a rage during this mode, but most of the time whenever a power overload occurs, the mimicked abilities are quick to burn out of juice and cancel each other out. Not sure how to turn his power off, or control what abilities he takes in, Tony is left unable to make physical contact with other’s, unless it’s the meta’s he’s currently mimicking. Copied abilities only stay with Tony for no longer then a week at a time due to the transposon directly linked to his abilities. Powers that are familiar to him, or abilities he’s mimicked before, such as his sisters healing power can sit with him for weeks at a time. This can sometimes leave him useless in certain situation, especially if he’s currently equipped with weak or ineffective abilities. He is also unable to copy Omni powers.

    Other: Unemployed, Tony has found other ways of earning an income aside from stealing and robbing others. Going by the alias, Yesca, he’s started dealing drugs to the junkies of Mendel. While it started out simple with little dealings of marijuana here and there, Tony eventually gained customers through the grapevine and before long he became the go-to-guy for a number of people itching for their fix in a variety of different drugs. Strictly staying away from harder substances such as heroine, or coke, Tony, unfortunately, has begun showing interest in pills and psychedelic drugs.

    Eye Color: Wilson has heterochromia iridium, a genetic condition where he has two different-colored eyes. His left eye is light blue and his right eye is a medium-hue green.

    Physical Appearance: Freely is a rather imposing man, muscular from a life of moving between prisons. He has excellent muscle tone, especially in the chest and arms, and looks generally soldierly. He isn’t the most attractive individual, with sallow skin and mismatching eyes. He has fat fingers and nails that are generally cut incongruently and are dirty. Freely’s body is a patchwork of tattoos and scars. There is a Skulls Sugar Skull tattoo on his right shoulder that has two enormous scars across it, as if someone tried to cross it out. A large vine-like plant is tattooed on his left shoulder, with three throwing knives sticking out of it, and there is a tattoo of a black shuriken on his collarbone. On his right thigh is a tattoo of a gun in a holster identical to the gun he usually keeps in a holster around that area, and a tattoo of a knife with two vipers wrapped around it is on the inside of his left forearm. On the left side of his chest is a tattoo of an uzi, and on the right is a shady-looking cowboy riding a horse. On the right side of his back is a tattoo of a fallen soldier memorial. On the side of Freely’s left calf is a tattoo of a combat knife cutting through three playing cards, all aces. His entire lower back is taken up by a small metal shield. one of the tattoos come above his neckline, and all of them can be covered with clothing. A massive ropelike scar runs down his back from his left shoulder to his right hip. There is another scar on the back of his right thigh that appears to have been made with a bullet. A massive black burn scar covers the left side of Freely’s back and overlaps the soldier memorial. There used to be a tattoo of an M16 carbine there, but nothing remains of it.

    He has a broad, round face with a wide slightly-tarnished smile framed in a thick full brown beard. The beard hides a large scar that runs across Freely’s jawline. Several of the teeth in that smile are fake, and towards the back a few molars are capped in silver. Freely is almost never seen without a cigarette in his mouth; the Skulls used to pass around a rumor that he even sleeps with one. Freely has very disorganized brown hair that sticks up everywhere; he obviously never combs it. He has large ears that stick out from his head and would look ridiculous if his bushy hair didn’t make them look smaller in comparison. Freely speaks with a Texas draw; he is obviously from the south.

    Attire: Generally dirty. Freely doesn’t really care what other people think of him to such an extreme that he seriously neglects his wardrobe and doesn’t regularly bathe. Freely’s clothing generally consists of a black muscle shirt, a pair of grey cargo pants, and a grey hoodie sewn into the inside of a black leather jacket. On his feet he wears a pair of beat-up combat boots. When it gets cold, Freely wears a pair of grey gloves with the fingers cut out. When he’s feeling particularly cheeky, Freely will wear a black stetson.

    Personality

    Outward & Innate Personality: Freely is a laid back individual with a devil-may-care attitude resonating from him. He is always relaxed-looking and is never known to be over stressed or tense. He is almost always smiling, even when there’s nothing to smile about. To a degree, it is disturbing. Most people who meet Freely think that he’s high, but he rarely is so. His demeanor is pretty blatantly construed as apathy, which is what he mostly feels. Freely just doesn’t care about anything from relationships to laws. Some have labeled him as a sociopath, others just as a total asshole. Freely is a very rebellious man, choosing commonly to do something because you’re not supposed to more than he does things you are supposed to do. In terms of criminal disposition, Freely is up there with the likes of Joker and Harley Quinn, though he’s not quite at their level. Freely does things simply because he wants to; he sees through laws. If he feels like exerting the effort to rob someone, then he’ll do it no questions asked. He lives a very hedonistic lifestyle. In essence, Freely is just a nuisance to everyone. He has basically no morality and at the end of the day he doesn’t really care who he’s pissed off and who he hasn’t. His strongest motivator is boredom; if Freely is bored, then he becomes extremely dangerous.

    The question remains, though: is Freely actually insane, or does he just really need a hobby?

    Hobbies/Interests: Freely will do anything that keeps him from being bored. This includes exercising, running, committing crimes, getting high, having sex, smoking, fighting, shooting, reading comic books (he doesn’t have the patience necessary to read normal books), horse-riding, climbing, scheming, aimlessly surfing the web at the local library and getting kicked out for watching porn. Freely has a soft spot for horses, and when he gets spare time and money he’ll go to the horse races.

    Skills/Talents: Generally being a nuisance. Freely is good at figuring out what gets under someone’s skin and exploiting it. He can be a real pain in the neck to people who get irritated easily. He obviously has a degree of intelligence despite his lack of education, though he has more of the street smarts variety rather than the book smarts variety. Having spent time in the military, Freely is trained in hand-to-hand combat and is fairly decent shot with a Beretta M9 and an M16. He is very good at horse-riding.

    Prized Possession: He owns very little.

    History/Bio: Freely was born in San Angelo, Texas. His father was a police officer. His mother died in childbirth, and so he never knew her. Freely’s father was a tough man, always very strict to a point of smothering. He had no qualms about beating his children, and so Freely gained a general disrespect for authority, as no matter what he did he was going to get hit anyways. He grew up wanting to be a cowboy, and in Texas that wasn’t as hard as you’d think. He took horse-riding lessons from his uncle starting at age seven, and at age fourteen began doing rodeos, breaking colts and broncs. From age thirteen to age seventeen, Freely worked on his uncle’s ranch during the summer. The pay was shit but he loved every moment of it. It was here that Freely learned to fight and started smoking. Unfortunately, Freely’s father wouldn’t have his son become a cowboy, even though he was good at it. His father wanted the best for him, and so tried to send him to college. Freely was expelled from San Angelo Community College in two-and-a-half months. Angry with his father, Freely left home and joined the Marines, where he served for five combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was here that Freely learned about his power. He got the tattoo of the knife on his calf because it was the symbol of his unit. He was in a small town on a mission to rout out an enemy weapons cache when his unit was ambushed. Five members of his ten-man unit were gunned down, and as he ran into a house for cover he was attacked by a soldier at close combat range. Instinctively, he grabbed for the tattoo, and ended up gutting the attacker with a six-inch combat knife. This was his last tour. After that day, he left the military and never returned. He was severely psychologically damaged, with PTSD and depression.

    Now that he knew about his power, he decided to turn himself into a walking arsenal. He developed his carelessness and disrespect for authority around this time, and began stealing. He was arrested for armed robbery and spent three years in prison in San Antonio. He was then arrested on charges of murder, but no definitive evidence could be found to convict him, as there were no fingerprints left behind and no murder weapon. He came to Mendel after hearing about the Skulls, this gang of metahumans, and joined their ranks. He was a Skull for about four years, until one day he robbed a bank and killed all of the attendants. The police never found him, but the Skulls realized at that moment that he was too dangerous and unstable. They set an ambush for him at the Skulls’ lair and when he came home one night, attempted to kill him. He shot his way out, killing two Skulls peons in the process, and was found the next day laying in a ditch. He managed to pull through and survive, but there were still amends to be made over the death of those bank tellers. He was taken into custody. Unfortunately for the police, they had no idea of Freely’s ability. He busted out of the police office with ease and fled to the Bayou. He was hunted for almost a year, but they eventually gave up and he returned to Mendel. He’s technically still wanted, but after what he did with those cops few people want to fuck with him.

    Abilities

    Power Class: anatomical.

    Power: If it wasn’t obvious enough, Freely has the ability to transform his tattoos into real objects. Every tattoo on his body can take a corporeal form and can be used in combat. The tattoos are made out of whatever they look like they’re made out of in the picture, so long as it exists. Currently, he can create the following things from his tattoos; a seven-inch dagger, a six-inch combat knife, a nickel-plated Beretta M9 .40 S&W, an Uzi MP-2 carbine, three throwing knives (he’s not particularly accurate with these), and a shuriken. The decorative aspects of the powers, like the vines around the knives and the snakes around the dagger, do not appear. I know this is kind of short, but I don’t really know what else to say. it’s not a particularly complicated power.

    Weaknesses/Limitations/Drawbacks: Considering that Freely can literally pull a gun out of his ass, he has some weaknesses. Firstly, Freely can create only what is depicted in the tattoos and only those things. He cannot change the shape of any tattoo, and they appear exactly as depicted. Note that Freely has no tattoos of ammo for the guns. Freely needs to reload the guns outside of his body (though he can store them with ammo loaded) so he can pretty easily run out of ammo. Any weapon that Freely throws, like the shuriken or the throwing knives, need to be recollected in order to be replaced and used again (the tattoo disappears after he synthesizes it). Thirdly, if one of Freely’s tattoos are physically damaged, he loses use of them (thus why his old assault rifle is burned out of his back). Besides that, Freely’s powers do not give him any sort of physical advantage over opponents. It simply allows him to carry normal weaponry in a creative way.
