So, the reason for the PG-13 rating instead of Mature is that I don't really enjoy rp centered around smexy time. If smexy time happens that is cool but I don't really want to play it out in depth... I'd much rather give a clear idea as to where things are headed and Fade to Black (FTB) and leave the rest to the imagination. Therefore, I am not closed off from the possibility, and even welcome the idea of, romance in the play... I just don't want to end up with an RP that's mostly centered around smexy time and not the plot, because that happens... a lot. Speaking of which...

ON TO THE PLOT!

So, as I was saying... I'm hoping to do a Constantine-ish roleplay and what I mean by that is that demons, angels, and humans will be involved in a struggle that the humans are pretty much oblivious to... except the ones who aren't.

My character is going to be a Sensitive, meaning she(hopefully, but I can play a he) can sense and see things other normal people can't. Why? Well, because somebody thought it would be funny. The idea is that you can be my character's demon familiar, another human Sensitive, an angel giving her guidance, or a fallen.

If you choose to be a demon then, just like the angel, you'll look human to everyone else. As a familiar you won't be able to harm my character as she's made some kind of contract with you... problem is she doesn't remember making it and doesn't remember what she bought or what she traded to get it. Apparently, she bought protection since the demon will be required to keep her safe from angels and demons scared she'll tip the balance in their chess game in which humans are normally the pawns.

If you're another Sensitive, maybe your character thought he/she was losing their mind and my character helps set them straight?

If you're an angel you'd give advice and try to protect without directly interfering because doing so could get you cast out and turned into a fallen... maybe your character was my character's guardian and has romantic feelings for her or has grown overly protective and therefore is pushing his/her boundries...

By this point you get the idea. :)

History: Shae started seeing things at the age of four after her parents died in a car wreck and the paramedics had revived her when she'd stopped breathing. After a lot of therapy, medication, and several different foster homes she learned it was better to pretend you didn't see anything even if you did. She'd figured out that the minute something knew you could see it, it followed you to see what you'd do about it... the smartest answer? Nothing, you went back to pretending it wasn't there and eventually it'd give up and go away... most of the time. Eventually, she got to the point where she could look right through the truth and convince herself she didn't see it... that a person just felt wrong or gave her the creeps. However, it didn't last...

What is a fallen? I know its an angel that was cast out, but in rp terms what does it mean?

So, as you know fallen are angels that did something to get cast out of heaven... Some were cast out because of lust, others for envy, some for greed. As a fallen angel your wings will have been 'clipped' so to speak, you still have them but they've gone grey and the feathers are falling out... After a while you'll no longer be able to fly and once all the feathers are gone you die even though you don't age... The process takes about 100 years from the time you were cast out UNLESS you decide to start stealing souls like a demon, in which case your wings will turn black and you'll slowly become one. A lot of the power behind your abilities is gone, unless you start swallowing souls, you still have them but they're weaker. Fallen can dally with demons but usually other angels shun them even though some spend their entire time on the mortal coil trying to do something, anything, that will get them forgiven and accepted back into grace upon their death.

The ups to being a fallen is that you don't have to play by the rules of the game like other angels do, it's not your problem to maintain the balance anymore and you aren't restricted by what is 'right'. Basically, you can do what you want when you want because all you have to worry about at this point are other angels or pissing off demons... and if you die you know where you're going so who cares about trying to be 'good'. Why not just enjoy yourself... unless you're one of the ones beginning to regret falling. Then, there is plenty of reason to be trying to fix things, to prove you deserve another shot... You look human to other humans, aside from if the light hits your eyes, they tend to glow and you can hide your wings by folding them up tight against your body and making them invisible... You can't hide what you are as well as a full angel or a full demon, so if you're not careful a human without Sensitivity can see you for what you are... even if they don't know what that is.

Nifty powers would be being able to inflict a specific emotion through touch, most angels use this for peace... tranquility, joy, bliss... However, you have both sides of the spectrum now and can also cause feelings of guilt, envy, lust, and anger... but it's only a nudge towards that emotion not an all out blast of it. :) You can still heal yourself and others. You can still cause people to fall asleep with a touch. You can create your own too.
