Jack the Ripper - Jill Clark
Role: Villain
Powers:
The Power that Sees Through All - Hyper-intuitionCharacterized by eyes that betray no emotion or intent, Jack's enhanced Intuition allows them to make advanced observations instantaneously and without any prior knowledge. At a glance, they can tell what sort of person somebody is and see through seemingly perfect disguises effortlessly. In battle, this ability is used to track subtle muscle movements and discover the mechanics and weaknesses of Hero's abilities. While Jack claims that it is the perfect ability, which cannot be defeated, it does in fact have a few unknown limitations.
Killer's InstinctsAn extension of Jack's Hyper-intuition which focuses on finding and using the absolute most effective method of killing in any given situation. As a side-effect, Jack can control their Killing Intent in ways to either prevent enemies from sensing an imminent attack, or induce enough fear to completely paralyze weak-willed prey.
The Ultimate Diguise - Identity ManipulationThe ability that is used so that Jack can move freely through the city and attack their victims without the risk of being caught. Sometimes called the "Perfect Assassination Power", because of its ability to disguise the user as anybody, or even create new identities entirely on the fly. Also allows them to change the identities of inanimate objects or tinker with the identities of others, although such targets take significantly more time and effort than targeting themselves.
ObfuscationA sub-ability related to Identity Manipulation, which allows Jack to Obfuscate their own or others identities. This makes them impossible to identify, and able to slip away from crime scenes without the risk of being seen or remembered. Because they are in a state of concealed identity, the target is essentially invisible, but in a way different than conventional invisibility. While it's impossible to identify them with any of the five senses, it is possible to "see" Obfuscated targets, if you know what you're looking for and purposefully look for it. Even then, however, losing the target for even a second can allow them to slip back into invisibility.
Talents: Using their Hyper-intuition, Jack has developed what they call the "Perfect Killing Technique", which revolves around the use of conventional weapons to strike the opponent's weak points and break down their defences. Experience killing all sorts of people has culminated into superhuman coordination and agility, to the point of being able to kill targets before they even have a chance to defend.
Jack is also an expert in information manipulation, hacking and social interaction.
Personality: Jack is a monster, a wild beast that seems to care for nothing besides battle and the thrill of the hunt. Sadist and treacherous, it seems to the naked eye that their cruelty knows no bounds. However, there are several quirks to Jack's personality that show a glimpse of the person they once were. They gush over advanced technology and unique fighting techniques, and are a huge fan of the Mystery genre, spending most of their free time during the day reading one novel or another.
While they're vicious, Jack is hardly a hateful creature, and doesn't tend to hold a grudge longer than a few moments. They have a competitive spirit, and don't like to be one-upped by anyone. Despite their reclusive nature, Jack is quite a flashy individual, evident from the way they tend to exaggerate their mannerisms and make murder scenes as interesting as possible.
Jack will always take the most enjoyable option possible, even if it means helping others or risking failure. They do, however, have a rather strong instinct of self preservation, and will always retreat if they feel like their life is at risk.
Background: Jack's past is like the mist, hard to look into and extremely inconsistent. Shifting between different identities, they listlessly traversed the darkest parts of the world, searching idly for something to direct their passion towards. They adored mystery novels, and during a particularly fateful series of events, began devoting their life to the secret art of killing. Because it was somewhat of a hobby, rather than an occupation, they've never been in much contact with Assassination Organizations or villainous allegiances. There's a great deal of mystery surrounding Jack's origins, but their travels have led them to this city, where they were met with the most wonderful batch of news.
How they took the death:
"Finally, freedom..."
