Welcome to Cirkus Azyl! The Circus Asylum show created by Czech artist Radek Zelenka.

Radek Zelenka grew up traveling Europe with his family in a small yet fantastic and eccentric circus show that included nomads from all walks of life as their performers, usually performers who needed a second chance or a place to call home. When his parents died, Radek desired to continue their show but on a much grander scale. He created his show Cirkus Azyl and recruited the best performers around, albeit all with their own baggage or eccentricities. To Radek, as long as they could perform to his standards, they were welcome.

Cirkus Azyl has been a raging attraction for the past 5 years, their show and training facility, although separate locations, based out of London. Performers are welcome to stay in the 5 story training facility and are only deducted a small amount from their pay for their rent. Radek still stands by his belief that his performers can be from all walks of life, despite their past or their problems. All he expects from them is perfection in his shows.

Good:
He is a calm collected person, never seen publicly going to the extremes of emotion, always neutral or there about. He is always willing to listen to the suggestions of his fellow performers and also give feed back. He's not quick to judge people by their failures or problems, he's had more then his fair share of them. Humble, he is very humble, taking any praise with subdued thanks and never asks for what he knows he can't get.
Bad:
Even though he us willing to listen to advice that's not saying he will act on it, if it has something to do with his act he gets very defensive. Doesn't like reflecting on the past, he is usually tight lipped about and doesn't ask others about theirs. He's not really a problem solver, more of a head scratcher, he might give useful bits and bobs sometimes but otherwise he's not the sharpest knife in the jugglers act.
Eccentricity:
One weird thing about him is his late night practicing on the 4 floor, he does it alone and plays the same song every night to accompany it, if you were perceptive you would hear the haunting tune. During his shows he can be seen muttering to himself, even as he is flipping through the air or making run ups before a jump, no one knows what he says, they don't really bother asking.

Personality:
Good: Alex is very confident in the spotlight, and she can perform without a hint of fear.She greatly respects and admires Radek.
Bad: Alex is Naive in thought. While she is confident in her performances, she is very shy and timid in person.
Eccentricity: Alex is mute due to a birth defect, which highly contributes to her lack of social abilities. She learned ALS so she could communicate with people.
Professional and Personal Background:

Daughter to a Russian father and an English mother, Alexandra lived in Almaty, Kazakhstan until she was 16. Since she was born with a defect in her vocal cords, she lacks the ability to make sound except for the sounds of an inhale or exhale. He father was a drunk and a father spiteful person. When Alex was born, he wanted to get rid of her, but his wife convinced him to keep her. Alex was 14 when her mother died of a terminal illness, and her father became depressed and his addictions only strengthened. Eventually, his depression led to him becoming an abusive father, threatening to kill her if she called the authorities.

When Alex was sixteen, she ran away, and she found herself in London two months later, where she met Radek and his group of performers. As she had always had a talent for contortion, Alexandra joined the show as a performer. Being one of the youngest in the family of perfomers, the older people teased her and called her half-pint (With affection, of course.)

Professional Skills: Due to her disability, Alex has very few skills useful in the cyommon workplace, other than the fact that she has keen eyesight and hearing.
Living Arrangement: Alexandra lives in the Training Facility rooms.

Eccentricity>Radek grew up with the understanding that family comes first. His show and his performers have become part of his family. He expects the entire cast, family, to be on time for dinner every Thursday evening at 6:00pm in the Restaurant, a dinner everyone is required to attend for 2 hours or he gets extremely upset and has been known to fire performers for not attending. He gets very anxious and has had small panic attacks when he is alone by himself for too long. Even if he is standing in the same room as someone and not talking it is enough to keep him at ease.
Professional and Personal Background> Grew up performing with his parents across Europe in a family-run exotic circus show. When his parents passed he had a vision to continue their legacy through his own massive and highly creative, different circus show. He encourages performers who come from all walks of life with strange backgrounds, oddities, or needs for second chances. Radek developed a poor sense of independence. While he is an intelligent and confident man and highly creative, he does not feel complete without his family, which have are now his performers. If he did not have them and his show he would be nothing. For fear of losing his show, his performers, which would be like losing his life, he puts everything he has in to his creation, as well as ensuring his family stays unity.
Professional Skills>Radek worked in balancing acts both on his own and with others and dappled in some trapeze work. Sometimes he will peform but it is not often as he focuses on creating his show.
Living Arrangement>Lives in the Training Facility, which he calls home, in Apt 1, always available for his family if they need him.
