As stated in the name, I want to make a transformer rp But I am not all that sure about what to do as of yet...

I used to be in a pretty big one before the reset, I joined pretty shortly before it all went gone sadly enough.

all I remember of its setting by now was that it played in generation 1 BUT at the start of the rp it split into a personal storyline...

I do want to add that bit but beyond that its all open for discussion, so anyone?

(this is posted in general and casual interest check, but I hope to put it all in one rp, but that is optional depending on)

Most likely, yes. Anyway, as far as the RP goes, I'm really, extremely partial to basing things off a pastiche of Generation 1 content. The original show somewhat, the original comics, IDW comics, maybe even bits of the War for and Fall of Cybertron games, just that nebulous area of common themes and names that make up the basis of Transformers content. Bayverse a shit. Unicron Trilogy a shit. Animated and Prime are alright.

well I was thinking last night while laying in bed (before falling asleep) that it might indeed be better to make a more personal universe, we can go from war for cybertron as the background and perhaps use some history from prime (mostly bits of the original primes made by primus and their fight with unicron, cause I can use that with the ones who have no record of what happened after it all for a second cybertron planet that no one knows off)

beyond that it could be all custom so that everyone can join no matter what their knowledge is (well aside beast wars as that if both the future and past)
(I have not finished the game of fall of cybertron yet due to lack of time otherwise I wanted to add that as well to the back ground (well it can be added just as long as I dont get too many spoilers XD))

what do you think?
(also my chars will be from that other planet)

say animated had those minicon's right?

Note: I think I will need a co-GM to take up either or both Optimus/ megatron
I will have a character from a different planet who will become what a prime is from their planet

if needed I can take megatron though, I want to give the honor of optimus to a co-GM and if this person wants megatron as well, then I say have fun ^^
also people can have multiple characters if they can handle it

I'm interested, I think it best to start from the War on Cybertron but base it loosely on the timeline that way we are not restricting ourselves.

my though as well, the gmes will be background and the bit of the original primes will also be background (for the basis of my characters I need one of them from after the war with unicron)

well get dropped on earth with the arc and wake up more around our current time

ok now will we be RPing as humans or the transformers? If we are Transformers can we make our own or do we pick from some already there such as Bumblebee or Iron Hide?

transformers and we can do both
if you want bumblbee, you can be bumblebee
if you want your own, have fun ^^

like I have said, I am making my own cyberton like planet and make my chars end on earth, so they will all be new types
hell they even possess a unique transformation system, able to take on not just a vehicle but also a semi-beast mode (robotic beasts)
like a dinobot that can turn car XD
(though not limited on dino's)

we can be on both sides but I want to focus on autobots side first btw

I think after we got a good idea build up here, that we should make a new int check with all the info worked out fine, cause I heard that not many people are interested in this type of int check

OK se basically we are starting a Transformers reboot, the transformers will be auto or dino bots, and will the decepticons be the antagonists or will it be something else?

the idea I have, we have the autobots, we shall likely start right after awakening in this time after the crash
meaning the dinobots are not present YET, though that can be discussed

for the bad guys we shall have the decepticons as always, eventually add the incepticons and perhaps the predacons from prime (for the heck of it, adding dragon type bad guys XD) (optional idea)

further I will add the terratroniuns
The venoloid who will be siding with the decepticons
and the dracotrons who will side with the autobots

how fr we add those is a question at this time
all I know is that I have 3 terratroniuns, one who will be a supporter in the beginning, kidnapped by a venoloid (who will be the venoloid leader on earth)
and as main char will be a dracotron who is hunting the venoloid in order to get his lover back

what do you guys think?

Sounds like it has great possibilities of evolving into some pretty epic stuff, I'd recommend though keeping it simple to start with, Autobots & Decpticons before introducing the other groups.

only those 3 I mentioned will be added from an other group as otherwise I dont have a char XD
but I can play that Fume (venoloid) and Seras (kidnapped girl) have gone into hidding and wont show up for a while

leaving Drake (main char) to join the autobots as he has no idea where to go and hopes that joining them helps him gets some leads

then the question would be with the leaders, I might play megatron depending if no one else wants him
but with that I also mentioned that at first I want to play with us all as autobots until we get far enough to add the decepticons as playable side (otherwise we might get outbalanced with 2 autobots and 5 decepticons or something)

I think to start with we should have some minor, or simple problem to overcome as a group before beginning the full scale autobot/depticon war but thats just my opinion. I do have to admit though I was born in the 80's and used to watch the transformers I am not familiar with Veneloid...

the venoloids are more of a personal creation, entire terratron is

well we can do that I think, would make the introduction for Drake and terratron easier if it would be more of a small side problem/ event then while people might be fighting already
they might start searching get to know each other and all before the war starts

what other minor issues do you have in mind?

If we are on earth what will the human factor be? Will we leave them alone and try to remain hidden, or do we present ourselves as allies? But then again these are things that we could come to a consensus with in RP.

in general I think we will try to be hidden
(though Drake will pose a problem on the long run, so we do get found out not too long in game, but we still are likely to stay hidden, perhaps the humans see us all as a danger or something as in most monster movies)

yeah the issue with terratroniums, they dont have the organ to take on new disguises so they always tednto have their terratronium shapes

If I were to change that, then he would lose his animal shape and the vehicle mode would get a changed stage depending on the animal shape abilitie
(drake will be a power type in animal and speed in vehicle, so if I were to give him the chance to take a earth vehicle, he will have a speed type car that could shoft parts to turn into half a car and half a tank (the truck turns into a canon and it gains spikes where the lamps were aside some other small changes, such as hover instead of wheels)

but I rather want him to stay with his animal shape, so he will stick out, even in vehicle mode
though it will take some time before people would start talking about the strange golden car
wondering if its a new model and all that
