"All right boys and girls, mommy is going out for some alone time, be good and make sure everything ready or else you don't want to know the punishments I have in mind," Scorn said to her gang as she left her lair, being swallowed by the shadows that were the exit of her lair. Traveling through them as her portals, she reached the entrance of her lair with ease. However before she had left she had changed, after all she couldn't go walking around in her attire she normally wore. The face paint was gone along with everything else. Now stood what seemed to be an entirely different woman. Her hair hung past her shoulders, and she wore a rather snug black t-shirt with tight fitting jeans. She wore a pair of white shoes. The only thing that could possibly give her away were here oddly color eyes which she covered with sunglasses.

"Now to do some scoping around to make sure I can do what I want or have to make revisions," she thought to herself as she walked away from her lair heading to the city and soon blending in with the crowds of people bustling about their day, loving the fact how they were so oblivious to the fact of who was walking with them. Oh how they would scream if they knew they walked by the infamous Scorn, it made her gitty with excitement at the thought but she remained calmed instead and appear like any one of them. As she moved about though she looked around at the signs and imagery. News of Asyr's demise seemed to catch like wildfire and now there were places that were selling tickets to even watch her fall.

"Poor Asyr, all the work you have done for these filthy fools and look where it has gotten you. They all ready have abandoned your side and hunger only to satisfy their own greed. If only you saw the truth," she said to herself as she stood looking at one of the places selling tickets. By chance a child ran into her. If it had been any one over the age of fifteen she would of given them a death glare to scare them off but as she looked down her appearance softened. Despite her cruel and twisted nature their was one thing that Scorn had a soft spot for and that was children. Why could be anyone's guess. Perhaps it was because they were innocent, kept away from the truth until they came of age and then fell into the roles that Scorn hated so much of life and of all people. Or perhaps it was because of the events of her own childhood that made her have a soft spot, knowing that despite some cruelties that are suffered at a young age they were still innocent.

"Oh are you all right," she asked in a tone that very few had ever heard. Before getting an answer though the child's mother came and got him. The mother was going to give an apology but Scorn had shifted her moods again returning to her usual self and gave a glare that scared the woman off.

"That's right run as fast as you can but remember I can catch you and I will when the time comes," Scorn snickered to herself and continued her way down the streets.

Electron walked away from the crime scene with a smile on his face as he made sure that the small sample of blood from the crime scene was secured in his pocket. He had managed to sneak in and out of the area hopefully without being seen as far as he could tell despite all of the chaos that was occurring around the battle site. All he had needed was a single sample of the infected DNA and there was plenty of that all around the area.

Alright. The DNA with the virus sample has been obtained. Now to figure out what this Virus is made of.

Electron whistled softly as he headed into the nearby ally after walking a few minutes and hit a button on his belt and a small doorway appeared in the wall. He took a careful look around to make sure no one was following him before stepping in and hitting the button on his belt again and the doorway closed behind him.

"Activate medical functions." He spoke as the screens around him lit up and he withdrew a small amount of the blood from the container it was in and placed it in a scanner. "Begin scanning DNA sample. Identify all components of the virus element at once and begin searching all databases for anything similar. Alert me if anything is detected." He spoke to the computer as the lights dimmed.

Noelle Vandread/Empress

Noel watched as the C.E. went off waddling into the horde of Dead Mask. Noel could hardly believe what she was doing and face palmed. "That is the shittiest kamikaze charge I have ever seen..." Worst still was that the C.E. forced the line of officers to break for a moment to let her through, which allowed some of the dead masks to rush in. They were taken care of in quick order, but Noel was debating if she shouldn't just kill the C.E. herself, given that so far all she's done was compromise their defensive position and fail to break through the enemy.

Regardless of the space hero's efforts, or the lack there of, Noel ordered some of her marksmen to start shelling the area behind the Dead Masks. Outnumbered as they are, there isn't an infinite amount of those things, and she was certain if that if they kill off whatever witchcraft was controlling these things, all the Dead Masks would cease to be a threat. Things were only going from bad to worse however as the power in the area was abruptly cut off. The police were using their own generators on the APC, but even Noel wouldn't know the full ramifications of shutting off the power to the entire city block, least of all the one with all this activity. Undeterred however, Noel took up a mortar and started shelling the Dead Masks herself, looking for anything or anyone who may be the one behind all of this.

The Dead Masks, in the mean time, continued to charge the police line but also the C.E. and Cain. They lacked any real unique abilities aside from their massive numbers and their general zombie-like qualities. This did however allow them to charge without fear towards both characters, even if all they did was pile their corpses on top of them. Which against the C.E., seemed like exactly what they were trying to do. Even against Cain, the severed halves of the Dead Masks crawled towards him in an untiring attempt to slow him down.
Damon/Dark Matter

Damon and Asyr touched down at the police HQ, which while so far untouched by any villainous activities, seemed to be fighting it's own war. Ever minute a police cruiser or a fancy APC was rushed out of the garage, and deafening chatter covered the entire first floor. Men and women in business suits paced back and form between stations and a veritable army of 911 call responders were doing their best to vocally ease the chaos in the city. Despite the madness, Damon was not deterred. The police seem to be doing something to fight the crime now that Asyr is out, and surely they wouldn't mind having her back if it means putting an end to this mess. Now Damon just needed to find someone to talk to. "Asyr, stay here and see if you can rally some support. I'm going to snoop around and see what strings I can pull to get us some help here. I got a feeling that the police has too much on their hands to really be of use to us, but every bit helps, yeah?" Damon transformed himself into the likeness of a officer and walked into the HQ. Hopefully he could get something from his troubles, even if it's just equipment.

Asyr watched quietly as Damon left into the crowd to assist the police.

She was to rally support, how? She was a depowered, rapidly dying heroine. How could she help anyone? As she noticed the police were bringing in those injured in the riots to a makeshift triage center. Asyr noticed there was a lack of medical personnel to the injured. Limping over, she tapped a paramedic on the shoulder. The man, he was older, and weathered but he was working harder then most in the group turned.

"You injured lady? Your upright, you take a seat." Asyr shook her head.

"No, I'm allright, well I'm injured but can I help? I know a little first aid" The man looked a little stunned before responding.

"Yea girl, grab those bandages. Wrap what you can, if they're lacerated and you can't staunch the blood. Call me to stitch then I'll suture, then you wrap." Asyr nodded as she began to bandage the wounded. As she moved to her next subject, a scrap of paper fell out of her pocket. The number from that strange heroine who ran past her.

An idea came into her mind, she quickly sent a text to the heroine. "This is Asyr, I need to send a message. Come to the police HQ immediately!"

She grinned to herself as she realized that without her powers, the armor could still be used to send a message....maybe it could send The End back to where he came from...
The End watched quietly over the monitors of the city. A large red number counted down overhead. He was waiting...but maybe it was time to thin the herds a little. There were more heroes crawling out of the woodwork that needed dealing with.

One gateway later, the End stood on the city streets. His anti-matter cannon ready. "Come on, let's get this started...."

At some point her walking became skipping with delight as her twisted thoughts went around her head. Her time of merriment though ended swiftly as she turn a corner with a surprise in front of her. The End seemed to of decided to make an appearance, for what purpose she did not care yet right before her was an opportunity. To fight and perhaps win, that's what her psychotic side wanted. To fight, to kill, to taste the sweet, metallic blood of her foe as the life drained from his eyes as payment for his cowardly deeds. Her more logical side that resided at the back of her head though told her not to. To wait and perhaps even watch. There was no telling what this man could do and perhaps it could give her a lead on what he did to her Asyr.

She sunk back into the shadows disappearing from view as if she had never been there and took her front row seat to the rooftops above awaiting whatever this coward was here to do.
