They join 5+ stories with all their enthusiasm, then disappear because they can't handle that much.

Some people join much less, post a template, and don't come back. I guess some of it is heat of the moment and then they're unsure about committing either because the passion is gone next time they come by or they get intimidated.

Sucks.

The point is never to bite off more than one can chew. I can only juggle up to four anyway. Also, subscriptions are key. Just simple common sense can go a long way.

Another problem they have is joining an Advanced RP even though they don't have any earlier experience. It's just kind of depressing to see a five sentence app in the Advanced section.

They lack faith in their abilities, taking time and experience in order to gain the encouragement necessarily to step out of their comfort zones.

And they can really be passive when it comes to joining games.

It's been in my experience that those who join rps in the beginning with all the greatest intentions to commit, but something happens — be it intimidated by the quality said rp has, the people playing elitist or whatever — and they drop it like a hot potato. It sucks, yeah, but I don't really blame them. At least, not entirely.
