It seems to me that he'd be at least tier 2 with just his physical abilities and no weapons, so when you add all his weapons and equipment he hits at least tier 3 even without the goop ability. Add that in and he gets infinite ammo, energy attack resistance (in addition to the bullet and blunt force resistance of his armor) and a tethering ability akin to a less powerful version of spider-man's webbing. If that doesn't bump him up to tier 4, it at least gets him close.

I also have some questions about the goop itself, mostly regarding it's flammability. Given the highly technical nature of all his equipment descriptions, I feel that it isn't too much to ask exactly how the goop can be used for bullets. In a traditional firearm, the projectile is propelled by the combustion of the gunpowder, so does the goop actually alter its physical properties to resemble the form and function of each component in the cartridge? If so, can it also alter itself to take on the properties of other physical objects? Like, for instance, repairing his armor plates after they've been shot or allowing him to materialize a knife if he finds himself weapon-less.

Does it say it can take on the physical properties of anything other than generating ammo for the firearms? It makes a sticky bullet like projectile that acts like a bullet in performace, able to strike both natural and supernatural entities. I am not sure what you are reading into the power but if its not mentioned it cannot do it. I thought I wrote it clearly enough.

I was inferring that it would have to have some sort of propellant in order to be fired out of the barrel of the gun at bullet-like velocities, and you mention that it has some sort of object memory property that mimics the bullets in question. From there I inferred that it would either have to propel itself via some unknown method (in which case the gun wouldn't even be required), or it takes on the form and function of a full bullet casing including that of the gunpowder. If that was the case, what's stopping it from using its material memory from creating a knife or sword or other physical object?

All I'm asking is how the goop actually functions. Everything else in the CS is described in vivid detail, so I was hoping you'd put an equal amount of thought into how the supernatural aspect works as well.

Jesus really? I am not going to work out a system when all it does is create a 'magic' bullet to fire through the guns so he can affect magical beings which he could not normally. If that's not good enough disallow it. If you don't like it as a power, say that and I won't use it.

First off, I don't think I'm authorized to accept/reject characters anymore, now that LeeRoy's back.

Second, even if I was, I never even hinted that I had a problem with the ability. All I was doing was trying to understand it better. If all it is is a magic bullet maker, that's perfectly fine with me. I wasn't trying to attack you or your character concept, just trying to understand it a little better.

I know. I worded it specifically for that effect only, so it irked me when you asked if it did more.

Tharraleos Polemistis said
I seem to have been mistaken then. I presumed the strength and speed displayed in the respective tiers were a character's full potential. Since speed is not a large part of Tharraleos' abilities, I can reduce that down to a consistent 300 mph regardless of pride power. If the remaining abilities continue to present an issue, I can simply remove them no problemEditWith all that's been said, perhaps it would be a better and more sensible idea to put Tharraleos at tier 7. I'm aware he is overpowered to certain extents and I make all attempts to balance him out. I'll continue to do so even with him at tier 7, so I'll make that tiny adjustment to his profile.

So um, any response to this?

Hey, so. I've just started reviewing this sheet. I was unaware of it's existence until recently, due to my absence.

But uh, just one thing before I finish it.

I understand liking detail, and I appreciate the amount of effort put into this sheet. But this is too much detail, man.

For a firearms based character its better to have detail than not.

^ I believe he was talking about Tharraleos, whose CS is one hell of a text wall.

Yeah, not you Skalla, your sheet is fine and I've already finished reviewing and accepted him a while back.

Tharraleos's CS is huge.

Meh, his sheet is thick,I have seen worse, but the wall of text doesn't help it. However I need to find someone to shoot. And there are not many characters in my weight class.

Name:John Henry
Age: Looks 20-ish, closer to fifty years old (though aging is somewhat irrelevant.)
Sex: Male, technically
Height: 7ft
Weight: 3 tonnes

Physical Description: (See picture above for appearance.) John Henry is in fact the statue of John Henry, with some of the barest memories of the man he used to be. Animated by some force he has yet to understand his body is still made of the hardened steel is was sculpted from, with all the benefits this entails. When damaged the statue bleeds a molten metal which can be used to repair himself, and burns anything other than him at a temperature of up to 2000 degrees Celsius.
Psychological Description: With only a few memories of the man he used to be John Henry seems to reflect the good values of hard working and honesty in America, making him an all-round morale character likened to defend the weak and fight tyranny.

Tier: T5

Powers/Abilities/Skills: John’s main abilities come from the fact that he’s a living statue made of steel, he’s incredibly durable and strong.
Strength: John can lift just under 45 tonnes of weight, and punch and hit with immense power, so much so that should he wish it he could easily bring down a building with sheer force alone.
Durability: John is 7ft tall and generally huge, though human relatively in appearance, this means his body is encompassed completely of steel of a significant thickness. He doesn’t seem to feel pain, isn’t effected by biological agents and bullets barely scratch his surface, making him damn near impervious to small-scale weapons and magic. His only weak point to target is his head, which he does require to see.

Speed: In terms of pure sprinting power and movement John isn’t significantly hindered, capable of moving with surprising speed as to be expected from an individual so powerful in terms of muscular strength. He can run easily at up to 150mph, with a fairly slow acceleration.

Agility: This is probably the main disadvantage of being a living statue, his ability to make small adjustments and react to far quicker opponents is somewhat limited. Though many have underestimated him to their own peril.

Equipment: Steel-driving hammer, roughly 100kg in weight, five feet long with a heavy head, made completely of steel. The hammer is imbued with some rudimentary elemental power, so that John may slam its head into any earthen ground and separate it up to a distance of thirty feet away from him and as wide as two meters. The fissure is usually only around ten feet deep, though if he spends some time imbuing the hammer with his spirit he can extend all of these characteristics by double for each charge.

If he instead uses the hammer on an opponent the damage it inflicts ripples outwards, essentially causing multiple slightly lesser impacts around the point struck, causing crippling and breaking damage in organics and tearing apart even well armoured foes.

History: John Henry’s story is one well known in American folklore, but the statue is not John Henry. He awoke to deal with some vandals, white trash which suffered a humiliating though ultimately fair fate, and then decided to venture the world every so often. He still wonders what his purpose is, but so far he’s yet to meet a challenge his iron will and hammer couldn’t overcome.

General note: Though John isn’t a particularly skilled fighter his physical abilities more than make up for it, leaving his main weakness his lack of general knowledge about the world and its components.

Since you say he needs his head to see, does that mean destroying his head doesn't kill him? So you can only kill him by reducing him to rubble? I doubt that kind of durability combined with strength near the max for his tier is acceptable.

Also, officially, charging can only increase the power of an ability by 50% of its starting power per turn.

Cool character though. We need a good ol' American hero in here.

Hmm, must have missed the charging rule, though such a stigma seems slightly pointless, I could easily double his abilities strength and it would still be well within T5.

I suppose destroying his head wouldn't fully kill him, though it would incapacitate him to the point where the battle is done.
