To the Northwest is a stark transition from the golden fields, an immediate plunge into a wedge shaped valley of grey crags and ash. Spikes of stone, pitfalls, black caves, and echoes of battles long since passed. Descending into this place is as treacherous as the battles that take place there.

Just a question, how did your character managed to manifest an energy ball twice as powerful as the last one given a fraction of the time?

My understanding of events are The Weeper and Mikael are similarly displaced by the close proximity energy ball erupting to prevent the sword strike, both fall to their feet and regained their composure within pretty similar spaces of time (Weeper is a similarly agile opponent to Mikael in terms of dexterity.) This would then leave Mikael the time it took said same fast character to pull a pistol from his cloak and fire three shots to make his energy ball, which to my understanding would be similar (if shorter) a space of time than The Weeper's dash forward in interruption last time.

I'm just curious, because if your character can essentially create a near impenetrable defence to my character in that fraction of time then there isn't going to be much of a fight, it's already proven effective at stopping the sword, and now bullets.

Ack, also missed this post earlier.

I overlooked The Weeper being able to recover that fast. It seemed fairly drawn out in your wording, but Mikael was also knocked back a further distance than him, so it adds up.
He does charge the spheres pretty quickly, but yes, not quite that fast. It may still have made sense if I had Mikael charge the second sphere while flying back from the first, as I had planned... but apparently I didn't write that. That right there's probably thrown the match already, since he'll have to be a whole lot more reckless now. Hopefully this edit suffices.

For the record, The Weeper's sword would probably slice open Mikael's spheres (though that would be bad for both of them), and a few direct shots could destroy a smaller sphere. I don't think there's any risk of this ability causing a stalemate.

Alright. The Weeper's self imposed requirement to finish any fight with his sword should even up any advantage I gained from your small mistake anyway.

Sleep schedule's been haywire as of late. Hopefully got that sorted today, so I can finally pick up the pace on this again.

Your damage in the last post might've been a little overkill, what with that sphere only being slightly larger than the first one =S. It might not have hit The Weeper at all, had he not moved backwards to dodge. I guess I'm fine with it if you are, though.

He's not really injured at all, bruises are non-existent damage to someone like him, save for aesthetics.

Losing his gun was probably the only thing it really did, and catching him unbalanced.

Ahah, so much for me sorting that schedule. D:

Likely just a few posts until Mikael's bloodstream falls to cardiac arrest, unless your character ends it even sooner. His slow bleeding and circulation could keep him going just a little longer, or so I figure. Still, I'd say this is a pretty enjoyable outcome.

Forum downtime made that more difficult to post than it needed to be.

But, awesome. My first complete fight on here, and it only took the best of five years, hah. Simply hoping this outro can compare to the slick intro you had earlier.

Take any amount of time in your next post if you make a followup, I guess. Mikael won't be much more than a mangled corpse if The Weeper finds him.

About time we finished a fight Tantalum, and I enjoyed it while it lasted. Cheers.

I'll think of a suitable outro for my own character, but yours was awesome none-the-less.
