What exactly would you consider as an example of an extreme atheist/atheist westboro then?

Atheists aren't usually organized well enough to form an organization like a "church" unless they're truly dedicated, BUUUUUT, in theory if they did, the organization would look like this: An atheistic organization that claims to believe that whatever problem of the day is somehow caused by religion, and would picket funerals of victims of tragedies and various religious authorities. They'd hold signs stating things like "Science flies you to the moon. Religion flies you into buildings".

Going more up the scale of violence, you'd get an organization which attempts to censor out any religious speech and execute the religious as dissidents. It would likely resemble the State from the Twilight Zone episode "The Obselete Man". Stalinists would be a real-life example of this line of thinking. It wasn't the only thing they wanted to do, but it was one of their plans to eliminate religion, by very brutal force if necessary.

So for the most part this is a hypothetical?

I will agree that Stalinist are close to this example, but the key difference would be motivation. Your example suggests it's done out of pure hatred for religion, while stalinists/communists did it out of blind loyalty (or fear) to Stalin and to expand political authority and obedience.

Still currently under debate by historians; Hitler's religious views were obscured and not completely known. One side mentions that the man never left the church completely (his mother was a stern Catholic and Hitler himself was baptized at an early age), while others state that Hitler was a full-blown atheist through-and-through. His habit of remaining politically-correct in the face of his Christian German supporters only makes Hitler's Nazi Germany a poor backing for your argument because of this (had the man followed in Warlord Atheist Stalin's footsteps and actually had a raging hate-boner for religion, he would have murdered every Jew, Christian and anything not denouncing the Almighty ASAP and with horrifying efficiency). And, I don't think the Holocaust was strictly over religion, but was rather a violent socioeconomic-driven backlash against the Jewish people at the hands of the German masses. Needed someone to blame for the disaster that was WWI after all. Made Hitler look good too in the eyes of disgruntled Germans.Let's bump your figure down to approximately 50 million then.

The overwhelming consensus of historians is otherwise, but if it will get Magnum to stop avoiding my argument because he thinks he has a slim chance of winning and satisfying his as yet unexplained pathological, dare I say fanatical, disdain for religion in accordance, all the better. 50 million.

What's all this arguing even about? Oh god, I can't believe how many e-fights I've gotten into and I never even realized how embarrassing they appear to people on the outside. I'm quitting them forever. Though probably not

Look, neither atheism nor religion is some super evil thing. Done. You can stop pissing now.

I wouldn't expect a coallition of Atheists to occur on a "medium" level like WB.
As for Stalin's motivation, that's probably the case, yes, but it's also probably the case for religious extremists as well.

True, blind loyalty and fear does play roles in Religion. So does power plays as far as higher ups in religion are concerned.

A lot of the causes for these cases, may they be executed under the banner of religion or a political ideal like Communism though does depend of fear, blind obedience, and not being allowed to question things. Things where if people take efforts to counter it are also by extension taking efforts that end up countering the foundation of religion.

A lot of the first 2 pages had simply bad theology which I was going to attempt to correct. Then politics and such got brought in and you all lost me.

As for the op, it really isn't a new religion but rather a strange form of Deistic Christianity.

I made a religion too. It's centered around a central untouchable existence surrounded by a thousand minor deities concerning a thousand facets of existence. Most of which may be portrayed by horses and monkeys. But then one day the horse gods got an itch for some prime monkey D and went down to Earth and banged the Monkey God's children before going back to their heaven.

And then this happened.

But they're not a part of the monkey world and are somewhere else. We will reach enlightenment when we penetrate the skies and go to this world the spirits went to.

I also made a religion where two godly sisters banged and made the world.
