MOVED TO ANOTHER SITE
In time's beginning, war waged between two deities. Duath commanded chaos, and his sister, Lim, reigned over order. They fought for dominance over the land and its people for centuries, decimating the environment and lives wherever their battles were waged. It is said that the source of their greatest powers lay in the bracelet each wore, and if it was removed, they would become like mortals, able to be killed.

In an effort to win the war and by extension, the world, Lim fashioned a beautiful being from stars and seafoam and sent the golem to seduce her brother, Duath, to win his trust. The golem was successful, and while the God of Chaos slept contentedly, the golem removed his bracelet and stabbed through his heart. When the bracelet was delivered to Lim, the golem was set to be destroyed. In an effort to survive, the golem secreted into Lim's room while she slept and delivered the same fate that had befallen Duath. Unfortunately, without Lim's magic, the golem's form disintegrated back into starlight and seafoam.

The bracelets' whereabouts have been lost to the sands of time, but it is said the one who possesses both bracelets will control untold power over the world itself.

They will become a god...

In the world of Verdan, there were once six races living in relative peace within six nations. Everything changed when the High King of Eriston came into possession of an artifact that contained great power. Through his scholars, he learned it was the Bracelet of Duath. The High King learned to use the artifact's power to defeat his enemies within the Eriston, but it quickly became apparent that the price for using the Duath Bracelet was not the reward of godhood but the loss of his own vitality. Without the Bracelet of Lim, Duath would absorb his life energy until nothing remained.

It became the High King's goal to find the match and don both Bracelets. His scholars researched day and night, trying to decode ancient texts and find Lim's resting place. Eventually, a text was discovered that seemed to point to the land of Aliudea where the Uialien people lived. They refused to cooperate, and the High King realized the only way around their refusal would be to use the bracelet's power to force them to bend to his will. Instead of their cooperation, he was met with war that resulted in the genocide of the Uialien people as well as the decimation of his army and the High King's death.

The artifact was passed down to his daughter who also inherited her father's obsession with finding Lim. Thinking she could better control the relic, she used its power sparingly but effectively. Even so, it began robbing her of life just as it had done to her father. Her obsession grew until, in great desperation to find the bracelet's twin, she made war on the Nogyth people in their mountains. Many people on both sides died, and while the ranks of Nogyth were decimated, they were simply driven from their mountain ranges rather than wiped out completely. Unfortunately, the same could not be said of the High Queen. The effort took her life, and the bracelet was passed to her son. He, too, inherited the quest to find the Bracelet of Lim and become like a god to rule all of Verdan.

While non-Fatanen historians could not say why the Uialien genocide had been committed, once the Nogyth fell, they did not keep the secret of why they were attacked. The discovery drew scholars from other nations to work together to stop the High King from destroying or conquering all of Verdan. Through their studies, the Edhil began to believe that if they found the Bracelet of Lim, they would be able to defeat the High King of Eriston and restore balance to the world. The only trouble was getting to it first.

Age
2392

Gender
Female

Alliance
Edhil Resistance

Race
Half-Edhel (Mother)
Half-Uialie (Father)

Appearance
Nieri Mahtar received a relatively balanced mixture of features from her parents. Her long, straight hair is white with touches of pale silver. Despite this, her rather straight brows are almost black, creating an almost too-stark contrast. Her eyes are unmistakably Uialie. Though they appear dark in low light, they are flecked with a rainbow array of colours that create an iridescence in the light, especially in moonlight, that makes it impossible to pinpoint the exact colour of her eyes. While her nose is straight, it is broad at the base. Her lips are moderately full and a dusky rose colour, several shades darker than her very fair skin. Her cheeks naturally have a slight flush to them. Her ears are small but unmistakably pointed. Despite most of her skin appearing to be flawless, she has deep scars blemishing her thighs and back from her time as a Fatanen prisoner. Though she is very fit, Nieri's body is slender and delicate in appearance. Her short height, at only five feet and three inches, further belies her physical prowess.

Personality
Nieri Mahtar was once gentle and nurturing while simultaneously being a prankster who loved a good romp. Life was once extremely beautiful to her, and while it still holds a great deal of meaning, it has become infinitely darker. Her pranking days are over. She struggles with an obsession to find more Uialien survivors in the hopes that half of her culture can be restored. She also struggles with the intense desire to seek revenge on the Fatanen, especially the High Royals of Eriston. She is logically satisfied that the man who ordered the genocide of her people died in the process, but she also wishes he had lived so she could kill him herself. After the Nogyth were driven from the mountain ranges of Stegros, she decided the entire family was the disease that should be eliminated.

She has been counseled that the path of revenge leads to a darkness that will taint her very soul, and while she doesn't necessarily fear that darkness, she does fear never being able to find the light again. Instead, she does her best to aid the Edhil Resistance and help those who have been harmed by Fatanen rule. This helps to at least focus her mind away from desires for revenge while she's doing good work. In this way, she has become an excellent leader who would die for her followers as they would die for her. She does her best to make sure that whatever groups she leads are inclusive and fosters close knit relationships.

Even so, she has lost so much that it has been difficult for her to form close relationships in the last forty-eight years. Even those trusted few who advise her are kept at a moderate distance.

History
It could be said that the first couple of thousand years of Nieri's life were peaceful and flew by quicker than anyone would have liked. Even though she was of two different people and often felt a bit like an outsider, she made friends with relative ease, and her family was always accepting of her dual-lineage despite her somewhat strange appearance. It was also true that she'd received her father's Uialie libido, for she took many lovers over the years even if she none of them were the ones with whom she wanted to spend her life.

Nieri split her time between Aliudea and Inen, never spending more than a century in any one place. She often liked to travel to Eriston and Vonga and was occasionally permitted within the mines of the Stegros mountain ranges. While in Vonga, she met a wealthy Fatanen woman named Hui Ahn and the woman's greatest love, Vantze Syrus, a Calva man. The pair may have been different races, but they were in love. Having been the product of a mixed union, Nieri believed in their love and helped them join together as one.

It was when she had situated herself in Aliudea for a time that she encountered her first true tragedy. Unexpectedly and without provocation, Eriston sent an army to intimidate the Uialien. Neither Nieri nor her parents were members of the inner Court circles, so they didn't truly understand what the Fatanen wanted. Instead, they found it strange and simply dismissed it. The Uialien were an old and powerful race, and facing the Fatanen felt much like playing a children's game.

Underestimating the Fatanen was the Uialien downfall. When the war began, Nieri donned her armor and raised her bow to fight for her people. At first, it seemed they would win. Even with their superior numbers, they couldn't handle the magics the Uialien possessed until the High King stepped forward. She never saw him from her position, but there were whispers. Nieri's mother, Aeweth, and her father, Einrial, came for her. She tried to protest that she would fight, but they used force and magic to make her comply. They used a powerful spell to seal her within a Uialie-made cave. All Nieri recalls from that time is a chorus of agony accompanied by a blinding flash of light that knocked her unconscious. When she awoke, the cave's magic had been broken, and she was sore and sick feeling, but none remained in Aliudea but the corpses of Fatanen and Uialien alike.

Nieri traveled to Inen where she told the Council of Elders what she knew about what had occurred. Once she had healed physically, she went with a group of Edhil to collect artifacts left behind by the Uialien. It appeared a small area had been looted, but there were old magics in place to deter non-Uialien from entering their homesteads without permission. She understood those magics, and she was able to help collect a large number of things, including heirlooms passed through her family. Many things were left where they were. It would have been dire to the health of the forests within Aliudea to move them. Instead, she and her group simply strengthened the existing magics that were in place. While they were there, they found no signs of Uialien survivors, so they believed Nieri was all that was left of that race.

Twenty-nine years later, Nogyth came to Inen seeking shelter from Fatanen attacks. They had been driven from their mountains, and all of Stegros had been claimed by Eriston. It was then that the Edhil learned just what the Fatanen wanted - the Bracelet of Lim - and how they'd succeeded so successfully in the Uialien genocide - they already possessed the Bracelet of Duath. They put their best scholars to work searching for a way to stop the Fatanen from gaining the second bracelet, meanwhile continuing to take in refugees from Stegros and Vonga. Nieri joined groups intended to free many people from the rule of the Fatanen in Eriston, and it was in this way that they discovered more Uialien who had not been destroyed but enslaved.

In her attempt to save as many captives as possible, Nieri herself was captured. She spent ten months being tortured by Fatanen soldiers, and while she wished for death, she did not break. They received no information from her. Part of this was simply her strength of character, and a part of it was that she wasn't truly alone for long. During her imprisonment, amidst all of the torture and even thoughts of suicide, a friendly presence touched her mind and kept her company with soothing thoughts. Her father had had magic that had felt similar despite the differences in execution, and she was able to recognize that these feelings in her mind were not a fabrication of her own but the mental touch of another person. It kept her as strong as she could be, the one light in the darkness.

At the beginning of what would have been the eleventh month, the Resistance came for her. The motley group of Calva, Edhil, Nogyth, and one Fatanen saved her from the darkness and brought her back into the light. A few lost their lives in the effort, but they also managed to free more than just the Edhel-Uialie in the process. It took time, but as soon as she was healed and ready, she continued her efforts in helping free captives despite the initial terror she felt at being recaptured. One of her first missions was to return to that horrible place to rescue the light who had guided her through her torment. Unfortunately, her light was gone, and with the number of executions the Fatanen had ordered on the prisoners in that specific cellblock, she realized her former inmate was lost forever.

Though she mourned, she felt it was important to help as many people as possible and to find as many living Uialien as she could. She could not give up. Though they were too few to ever be their own race again, they could at least pass their genes and knowledge through the mixing of other races so as not to die out completely.

Name
Hue Li Syrus

Age
Twenty-seven

Gender
Male

Alliance
In Hue’s eyes, the fatanen were fierce, but fair: if he returned the bracelet to the high king, peace would resume.

Race
Hue is an eighth Calva-Fatan.

Appearance
Hue’s calva heritage is almost invisible to the naked eye. His eyes taken on a hazel yellow-brown color, his black hair is thicker than most Fatanen. He keeps it cut short so it’s thickness is not so noticeable. His feet are slightly elongated compared to a fatan of pure blood, and he has to make his own shoes. His senses are slightly sharper than a fatan, but nowhere near as sharp as a calva of pure blood. His voice is very deep. His skin is tan, and he has an average amount of body hair. He is only about five foot ten, though his stature naturally is slightly bent. If he forced himself to stand tall, he’d be over six feet.

Class
Rautoth, Nestad (limited to potion crafting)

Abilities/Skills
Though Hue was raised rooted on a farm, his father often took him and his siblings into the forest and taught them the ways of woodsmen. They learned how to forage, hunt, track, and stay hidden. Hue’s mother studied potions making and used her abilities to help the people of her village and others nearby. She taught her children much of what she knows. Hue is proficient with a bow and handy with a dagger.

Armor and Weapons
Hue has light leather armor, a hunting bow, a long dagger and two short daggers, each blade shaped differently for a different purpose.

Personality
Hue is generally friendly, though stubborn. He's craved adventure and dreamed of becoming something more than a tanner or a farmer. Along with adventure he wishes he could have more power to help others. He doesn't speak of his calva heritage and gets angry when others comment on some of his more unique attributes.

History
Hue’s great grandmother Hui Ahn was the daughter of a fatanen duke and heir to the duchy. She chose to be with her wolf-calva lover, Vantse Syrus, despite her father's wishes. Together, they ran away and had a daughter of their own. Upon the brink of the uialien genocide they, along with some uialien, begged for the protection of Hui’s parents, the Duke and Duchess Ahn. Being aged and lonely, they agreed to let her return and she, with her companions, took refuge once again in her fatanen home. Unfortunately their whereabouts were revealed and the great castle was attacked. Many died, and all wooden structures within the walls were burned. The half-calva daughter, Iniga Syrus, was taken captive. She was kept for amusement by one of the captains and by him she birthed one son, Tonawk Syrus (a bastard takes his mother's last name), who she raised with love and devotion. Through hard labor Iniga and Tonawk were eventually freed from indentured servitude. When Tonawk met his future wife, he decided to settle down in a small fatenen village. Tonawk became a respectable farmer, and together they had three children. When the dwarves were attacked, Tonawk turned a blind eye to the massacre in order to keep his family safe. This is the household Hue grew up in. He lived with his mother, father and two younger siblings in the same small farm his entire life. They always saw peace, no matter what was going on in the world around them…and the few times that trouble came near, his family was always able to defend their home. Recently, a representative of the High King approached Tonawk and offered him the role of the Duke of Ahn, the ruined duchy, if he were to find and return the bracelet to the high king. His father declined. Hue met with the representative behind his father's back and took the offer. He would do this to bring peace to the kingdom, and return to his father what he was owed.

x name
Eyn
She-wolf

x age
1769

x gender
Female

x alliance
She has no personal affection, but sides with the Edhil, disliking humans for the atrocities befallen upon her people and the decimation of her kin.

x race
Uialie

x appearance

Eyn's gentle appearance is one of captivating beauty, and there is purpose to this. It is used to beguile and melt any potential enemy, to make them so weak at the knee they cannot resist and then the Fae would strike. Eyn has not taken to the elegance for a long while; there has been no need for it. But without the dirt of the earth or bloody of a foe upon her skin, her skin is polished yet littered with scars that are all faded to light pink. Her hair is waste length and the lightest of gold colours, naturally wavy and in spiral curls. Her eyes are wide and shaped, surrounded by a mass of lengthy black lashes. The orbs within are an iced blue flecked with green. But when she performs her magic they turn colour, reflecting the performance. Her body is toned and lean with muscle, with the curves of femininity at her hips and breast.

Her most natural appearance is that of the feral Fae, ready for foe, combat and the wilderness. Her clothing is ragged, a short skirt held about her waist with a well-worn and distressed leather belt. The material is ripped and aged, and various stages of brown. Cream cloth covers her breast held in place by a leather pauldron that crosses her chest and seals her shoulders. Form beneath her breast to her hips is exposed, Eyn never feeling the cold. Her feet are in dressed in the supplest of leather soles strapped across her feet.

x class
Cemgollor
Rautoth

x abilities/Skills
Speed Eyn can run a lot faster than most, and her speed can rival most animals.
Agility Her movements are fluid and effortless, seemingly, and Eyn can bend and move with ease.
Stealth An expert tracker and hunter, her movements are swift and silent.
Vision Enhanced by what magic she has, Eyn never misses her mark. She also has the ability to tune into the air, nature or animals and see through them.
Heightened senses As well as the above, her other senses are extremely heightened fitting her hunter and tracker status.
Hunting and tracking
Archery
Close combat, armed Daggers, small axes and lighter swords.
Close combat, unarmed From garrotting to punching, Eyn can handle her own unarmed.
Ambidextrous Can fight with any weapon in either hand.
Communication with nature
Survivor Having been alone in the wild for so long, Eyn has adapted to living with only nature. She has no dependency on anything or anyone.

x armour and weapons
Armour
Mostly leather, it is simple and seen as ineffective. A leather, double sided pauldron and harness across her chest and shoulders. Leather bracers upon her arms and matching, very worn greaves about her legs. A belt around her hips that stores weapons and that is it.
Weapons
- Recurve bow and quiver
- Two leaf shaped daggers
- Archers sword
- Bowie knife

x personality
Eyn is a character of many conflicting emotions and traits, but for the most part they are hidden behind her feral and unwelcoming nature. Having spent so long alone and after the decimation of her kin, Eyn likes or cares for no one. She is tough, independent and ruined by her unwillingness to trust another and the hardships she has faced. But she wasn’t always so isolated and bitter. Once, a fun loving and energetic girl stood. Always an admirer of nature, Eyn has always had a very strong connection to the earth and animals. There has always been a fearless and determined way about her, and she was never one to be seen as weak, striving to not be seen as so. Eyn was also once a very protective being, and would not see a life wasted. She was warm and welcoming, inquisitive and enthusiastic. She would often entertain with her abilities; perform displays for the younger’s of her clan.

However, that outgoing and joyful Eyn has gone, replaced now by the vengeful, brutal and callous being. Her heart no longer carries the love and hope she once held; her soul carries only the desire to seek revenge for the horrific atrocities committed.

x history
Eyn was born as an only sibling, a miracle to her parents. Her clan was set deep within the forest in the Aliudean realm. Surrounded by untouched beauty, Eyn’s connection with nature was noted from the moment she could toddle around. Even as a youngster, Eyn showed no fear or worries as she explored, much to the frequent distress of her Ma and Pa. But she was an explorer, and with her curiosity grew her abilities to read the world around her and communicate with animals and plants and the air. She knew no misery or hardships, and the first part of her life she grew happily and very much adored by most. She formed a bond and very close friendship with a boy named Ira, and the pair grew to be the very closest of friends.

With age came new responsibilities, and the mischievous Eyn would not concentrate on her studies. Quite often she would take the mind of an animal and torment the Elder for entertainment. Eyn was intelligent but she had little time to learn, or rather she had little interest in paying attention. But still, the first century of her life was spent dedicated to learning the ways of her kind and what limits there were.

Eyn and her clan have the ability to enter the minds of animals, to communicate with them and control them. However, no novice could do so. You had to have respect for the creature, prove you meant no harm and that you were good inside. Eyn took to this naturally, whilst Ira had great difficulty and Eyn often mocked him for this. More difficult was the power to communicate with earth, seen as objects to most although to the Uialien it was just as alive as them. But with no mind and soul to connect with, it took a great deal of training and patience to be able to twin with it. Here lay Eyn’s difficulty; she had not the patience or the interest to do so. She wanted to explore, to see! Ira excelled here, and Eyn would grow frustrated with him and her volatile temper would sometimes show.

Name: Ajani (''Cat''; ''Tigress'' ; ''Stripes'' clearly the ones who made these nicknames up were not particularly creative)

Age: 29

Gender: Female

Alliance: Undecided, up to the other characters to sway her one way or another.

Race: Calva, Tiger subrace.

Appearance:

Ajani is perhaps the epitome of a tiger-Calva, she is tall, muscular, and agile all at once. Her skin, and the faint sheet of fur that covers her from head to toe in the familiar patterns is stretched taut by powerful, corded, practically wiry muscles that the tigress was seemingly proud of and happy to put on display, usually wearing sleeveless tops that showed off her abs and arms. They clearly weren't just for show, however, as she clearly seemed to be as strong, perhaps stronger, than most men her size.

Her features are exotic, to most of the races of the world, so calling her attractive (if one fancies strong, athletic women) is far-easier than calling her beautiful. Regardless, like most cats, she has slender, sharp features, a small nose and large round eyes. Incidentally, these same features are often depicted as the ones held by classical beauties. One would be hard-pressed to disregard she sharpness of her teeth, or the bestial yellow color of her eyes, or even the coat of fur.

One may notice, however, that neither her hands, nor her feet have claws - though they seem to have had, at one time. The nests where the claws would retract into and protrude from, are empty, and somehow, they've been prevented from regrowing. Aside from that, they seem humanoid in shape and structure, with five digits on each. The most striking feature of hers, however, is the tell-tale mark of the branding that all Calva exiles bear.

Class: Dagthor

Abilities/Skills:

Combat Styles - While the specific styles are just there for flavor and add a bit to lore, the general idea is that Ajani is not just strong or agile, she also knows how to use those traits effectively in combat.

Athleticism - Ajani is both exceptionally strong and fast - her racial features lend themselves well to make her naturally athletic, but she has seemingly taken time to hone her body through exercise as well.

Acrobatics - Cat-like agility and reflexes run in her blood - walls can be climbed, chasms leaped over, and heights are not as deadly as they would be to the unprepared.

Self-Mastery: Ajani makes the conscious choice to disregard the practices of Berserker magic that some warriors take up. In stead focusing on keeping anger from ruling her, she strives for mastery of self and discipline of mind and body to achieve similar - less spectacular, but no less effective feats of combat prowess.

Intimidating Presence: Tiger-Calva are known, much like the animals they resemble, as among the largest and physically powerful subraces of their people - most of them can roar akin to the animal itself - and often the sound and their appearance is enough to unnerve, and even cause panic to the unprepared.

Sharp Senses - Eyesight, smell and hearing are important for predatory beasts - Calva often benefit from sharper senses akin to their animalistic types, and Ajani is no different. She can sense changes in lighting, movement, smell and sound that a fatanen might miss entirely.

Armor and Weapons:

Studded Leather Armor - Treated with special substances and studded with steel to make a sturdy, yet flexible suit of armor. It isn't platemail, but it will turn aside most blunt weapons, and even protect from bladed and piercing attacks soundly, if the attack is not taken head-on. It consists of:

- Studded Leather Vest - covering the shoulders, upper arms, torso, and upper thighs.
- Studded Leather Gauntlets - reaching up to the elbows.
- Briches. - Simple pants, loose and allowing freedom of movement - tucked into boots.
- Leather Boots - Tough boots, better suited to harsh terrain than stopping weapons.

Steel Longsword - This sturdy , versatile weapon has seen much use, Ajani is not the first to wield it. Typically sheathed across her back.

Quarterstaff - a walking stick, or a non-lethal weapon, this straight oaken shaft is often also secured to Ajani's back.

Throwing Knives x6 - Small, balanced iron knives, tucked into a bandolider for easy reach.

Personality: Ajani is the vision of a mercenary - she strives to be self-sufficient, and most of what she does, is for her own interest, pleasure, or needs. However, that is not to say that she dislikes other people, or actively works against them, on the contrary - she is also quite happy to share her time with others, and enjoys the presence of others who mean well, and freely interacts, rather than brood and keep to herself.

While her life is one of violence traded for coin, she is neither heartless, nor numb to the horrors of war. She will strike down an armed and skilled foe without hesitation, but the crippled, weak, old and young always find mercy from her, as she finds it a stain upon her character to abuse those who cannot fend for themselves. In times of peace, she finds solace in the beauty of nature, and merriment with friends and allies.

Though she sells her skills for money, it is out of necessity, as her true goal is to achieve mastery of the art of combat, she finds purpose, beauty and wisdom in mastery over weapons, technique and her own body. She feels no particular pull toward either side in the raging conflict that shakes the land, in her mind, god-like power should never serve mortal ambition.

History: Ajani was born to a tribe of Calva with predominantly predatory heritage, who often strayed, and preyed upon the tribes who resembled non-predatory animals. Her people reveled in their bestial nature and sought to bring themselves closer to the animals they resembled. Most other Calva avoided them, and those who could defend themselves did not tolerate their presence within their territory. The chieftain of her tribe, her father, had ambitions of expanding his tribe, annihilating or assimilating smaller ones and eventually gaining dominance over the others. Ajani, though young, did not share his ambitions, but dared not incur his wrath by speaking out against such notions. Thus she spent her childhood, until her mid-teens, watching countless cruelties and depravities be visited upon the defenseless and valorous alike - deeds that she herself had done, albeit reluctantly.

The other peoples of Vonga, however, would not tolerate the predatory tribe's actions for long, and one night, whilst most of the warriors slept, the tribe's camp was ambushed. Caught off-guard, by a predator they themselves had not expected, they were overpowered, with many slain, and many other left to flee. Ajani, along with several slaves, and cubs who were left behind, surrendered to the raiders. The elders of the tribes then gathered, both prisoners and liberated slaves. Many of her tribesmen were executed. The slaves either rejoined their tribes, or were taken in by generous families, if their own tribes were gone. Ajani shared that fate, she'd lost herself amongst the slaves, and many believed her to be another unfortunate soul. Her father, however, had escaped the fate of his warriors.

So began a seemingly mundane life - she served her part among her new tribe, hunting for them, and protecting them as she could, all while the shadow of her past lingered in her mind. And while she felt at ease, immersing herself in the study of combat - she feared what she would find herself using the skills she practiced for. Over time, she carried the weight with more ease, and she considered fully turning her back on the past - taking a mate, enjoying a relatively peaceful life, away from the struggles of the fatanen and the other races.

Years would roll by, and six years since the dissolution of her tribe, the people of Vonga would gather for the Pashenda. Tribes mingled, celebrated, and she found many of those who had been liberated years ago, had started families of their own. The festivities came to as sudden halt, when a battered and seemingly ancient tiger-Calva stood amidst the tents, screaming injustice for his tribe, pointing fingers accusingly at the elders of other tribes. Some were shocked, others taken aback, third rose to remove the old man, but Ajani approached him. He turned to her, frantically grasping her shoulders - the spark of recognition lighting up in his glassy eyes. In so little time, he'd aged so much, become a broken shell of a man. But the Calva, was her father.

Time stood still for a moment, as they gazed into each other's eyes, his were misty, unclear and frantic, reflecting a shattered mind - hers, the vision of calm, yet there was a hardness in them. He parted his lips to name her, to call her his daughter, and embrace her. Some onlookers were baffled, but others quickly remembered, who the man was, and now knew who Ajani was, in turn. She looked down at the broken mind. In an instant, her claws came free, and she drove them into her father's throat. Even as he slid down her frame, life leaving his body, his eyes still held a mad hatred for the world around him. Even knowing that she'd sealed her fate, Ajani felt at ease - the greatest demon from her past, was gone.

Naturally, Ajani suffered for this choice. She submitted herself to the punishment of the elders - her claws were removed, and their nests seared to prevent them from healing and growing back and she was given the brand. Even the life of a monster, was sacred within the Pashenda, and she would face exile for it. For nine years, she has wandered the face of the world, selling her skill at arms, be it for protection, conquest, or the entertainment of a bloodthirsty crowd. She finds herself now, at the turning point of the fate of all races.

Other:
- Enjoys tummy-rubs.
- Likes bathing and water unlike most cats.
- Bench-presses a lot.
- Lazer-pointers are her greatest weakness.

This looks very interesting indeed. :) I've got a few ideas that I'm waffling between. Hopefully, the answers to these questions shall help me make a decision.

When you mention only accepting a certain number of one race, is that counting accepted characters, or meaning slots still open? (two of my thoughts are Uialien... so that'd almost solve the waffling if there's no more space for one)

Are you expecting that the characters will wind up as one group working together, whether or not their final goal is the same? Or two separate groups: one for and one against the High King? Or just if one character meets another they might team up if they feel like it?

Do slaves, or forced labour, exist outside of Eriston?

What's the technological level? (I'm assuming late medieval) Does it vary between races? (I'm assuming yes)

Can we get a rough picture of the layout of the nations? Map or description, just which ones border which other ones.

It doesn't include what has already been accepted. I'll update the number of accepted races when we receive more of the limited numbers.

I probably should have made this clearer when I posted the OoC, and I'm sorry I didn't. I want to have at least five characters in the main party from the Edhil Resistance hunting the Bracelet of Lim before we have characters with other goals within the rest of Verdan, including whatever party is going after the bracelet for the Fatanen High King. Now, whether or not everyone within the Edhil Resistance is a genuine believer or a double agent/sleeper/whatever is up to you guys. We already have one sleeper with Hue Syrus, but I'm not opposed to having one more.

Slaves and forced labour might exist in some Tribes within Vonga, but I don't see the Edhil or Uialien having slaves. It's possible that the Nogyth had them, but I feel like that would be rare and would be much more likely to be an indentured servitude sort of situation or a situation where some labourers just don't get paid quite enough if that even happens at all.

Because Verdan is a made up sort of world, I guess late medieval would be fine. I don't think it's far enough for guns, though. Think more the kind of level/era that you see in the Hobbit/the Lord of the Rings if you've seen/read them.

I'll have to work on the layout (and reading through character sheets) when I get home from work later today. At the latest, I'll do it tomorrow.

Thanks so much for the interest!

I personally think a wide arrange of types of characters is preferable, but we can also make NPCs and such to balance the races available. I'll help make the map when possible.

Whoo! Thanks for the quick answers. And no rush on the map thing, that's just me wondering about nation placement. I realised I forgot a question though, are there different languages? Should we be considering communication difficulties? Is there a common/trading tongue?

And yeah, I'm trying to fit my character idea to the races and classes that haven't been chosen yet, to round things out, but we'll see what comes of it. :)

Looking good - no rush on the maps and whatnot, mind you, though I'm eager to get immersed in the lore, such as it is.
