"I don't know, I fear I have too much of a temper for anyone to deal with me," she said, laughing slightly. "Though I would love to do something with horses or maybe music, I don't know." she said, sighing. She looked away then back at him, "Exploring new lands is much more noble of a goal than mine." She smiled, "I'm sure you'd be great on a ship, you can climb pretty well."

Charles Den'Taruk would arrive at the castle wondering if he will accept an apprentice or not this time around, an eagle landing on his shoulder and cawing slightly. He breaks a small smile and pets the bird but then the smile vanishes and he glances at people who are there already.

Link would be walking through the market place, and would stop in to the bakery to get something to eat seeing the big man in armor and another boy, he would raise his eyebrow and then shrugs, he would look at what the shop has and think about what to get before he would head to the castle, he didn't really care to much if he got accepted as someone's apprentice or not, fingering his pendent as he thinks.

Baird sat in a tree, just off the edge of the wall of the castle, he hummed dangling his legs off the tree. He was excited, he hoped to be chosen by the horse master, choosing day would change his life forever. Deciding that he should get moving he climbed up the tree quickly only snapping a couple limbs on the way up, he leaped off it and grabbed a couple loose stone along castle Redmonte's wall. He jumped and grabbed the ledge and flipped over the side of the wall surprising the soldier severely Baird ran along before jumping down into a tree in the castle courtyard, quickly climbing down that and stopping in the courtyard of the castle he realized he had caused a bit of a scene. "Uuuummm sorry everyone, I just thought it would be faster to go over the wall then around it." He blushed a little embarrassed at the situation.

Jack eyed the red-haired girl "You don't look like the type to have a temper, especially with those cute freckles." He teased, walking to the edge of the roof. "I wouldn't mind something music related, I'm pretty good on the piano."

"S-sure" Dust said to Ash pauseing a few seconds before following her. "Do you think that maybe after this that we can get something to eat?" He asks not only wanting to elevate his hunger but to also try tonsee some other people.

"well I guess some food would be good" Ash said noticing that she was hungry too and noticed a nearby medicine shop "wait here" Ash told Dust and walked into the shop.
The shop was pretty tiny. there was all sorts of herbs and potions everywhere. ash was taking a bit but getting the required. the last thing you want is to run out of bandages and have someone bleed to death because of it

Charles would look at Baird and raises an eyebrow at his actions and then lets the eagle fly off "hm... interesting lad..." he chuckles slightly, then walks over to a tree and leans against it thinking 'maybe this kid would do well with creatures.. then again he could just be hyperactive..' he shrugs, as a squirrel comes down from the tree onto his shoulder "...hello little one.." he pulls an acorn out of his pocket and gives it to the squirrel, and then looks at Baird thinking.

Baird smiled as his puppy, Onyx, ran up to him, she was a one of kind dog a solid black coon hound who for some strange reason refuse to hunt no farmer or hunter wanted a dog with no use for work so Baird had kept her. The dog ran up and jumped up placing her front paws on the skinny boy as he patted her on the head. "Hey Onyx, you excited for today? Today we found out my future here in Redmonte huh girl?" He scratched her behind the ears as he looked around, he knew his best chances lay with the horse master, possibly as a Ranger to though they were all very secretive he thought he would fit in well there. Onyx gave a soft bark and he lay down in the grass, the castle staff chuckled at the ward, he had always pulled stunts like that so it came as little surprise to them.

Charles nods some "hm..looks like he is good with animals.. or at lest with that dog.." he whispers to the squirrel and then it takes off towards Baird and climbs up his pants leg, then up his back and onto the top of his head.

Baird looked up the squirrel, giving it a slight smile. As he did Onyx noticed a new playmate, deciding she wanted to play with the squirrel she jumped up knocking over the poor Baird. The squirrel raced back up the tree as the Onyx barked, trying to get it to come down and play. The poor boy lay there trampled by the dog, half unconscious.

Charles laughs and walks over to them "you seem to have a 'way' with animals" he grins chuckling, and moves Onyx off Baird and helps him up, he then pets Onyx some.

Baird groans slowly taking the hand of the stranger "Thanks mister, though I really love horses, I'm hoping to get picked to be a ranger or a horse master. Onyx here is just my pet, she's not very bright and none of the villagers want a dog that is just a extra mouth so I take care of her and she keeps me company." He smiled as the man petted the dog, Onyx gave a soft ruff enjoying the attention immediately forgetting the squirrel debacle.

He nods "hm.. so you'd like something where you could take care of animals.. specifically horses.." he raises his hand to the air and the eagle from before lands on it "though most probably haven't heard of me.. i'm Charles Den'Taruk... the Beast Master.." he brings his hand down and strokes the eagle's feathers

The boy stepped to the side and looked up at the older man. Angus was taller than all of the boys his age, and even some men, but the armored newcomer towered over him by a head. "Thank you, sir. I wasn't planning on battleschool." he replied to the knight's question. "Fighting isn't exactly my strong suit." Noting the crest on the man's cloak, Angus asked, "You wouldn't happen to be the battlemaster, Gilfrod, would you? The Baron mentioned you several times in his letters. Said you were 'a regular giant', if you pardon my humor."

"Hmm mores the pity." Gilford replied, "Indeed I would be Gilford, the regular giant, though the baron is a little more of a giant then me in the belly, if you know what i mean." Gilford said with a hearty chuckle. "Well enjoy the sweet roll, I'm off to find more victi- er recruits." and having said so the Battlemaster left to look for more prime young lads.

"Nice to meet you sir, I know quite a few of the wards are gifted with animals so you will be spoiled for choice this year." He smiled at Charles as the eagle landed, the bird was impressive. Onyx looked the bird curiously, the not terribly bright dog began to wonder if it tasted good, like the turkeys it sometimes chased. Onyx began to jump up barking excitedly at the large bird, Baird grabbed her collar trying to get her to stop but it was useless the dog continued to bark and jump at eagle.

Link looks at Gilford as he leaves the bakery, and thinks to himself 'that's the Battle master?... wow..' he shakes his head and decides not to get anything and leaves the bakery, and starts heading towards the castle, wondering what he should do, if he does get a master who should he go with.

Charles looks to the dog, and puts his other hand on it's nose "ssshh..." he says, a strange feeling of calm can almost be felt from him.

Baird gave the man a smile as Onyx calmed down "As much as I like animals I don't always have a way to control them, anyway I better go see the Baron, normally they gather up all us interesting youths and then after the masters have met us all they let you masters pick who you take on, I hope you get a good apprentice sir." With that the young boy and his none to bright but lovable dog ran off towards the wall, he began to climb, the boy obviously was not a fan of doors, the dog taking a few moments to long to realize she could not follow ran back towards the main gate.

As Baird reached the top of the wall, the sergeant on duty sighed and looked at him "At it again Baird? I swear you keep climbing the wall one of these days someones gonna put a arrow in you." The sergeant smirked at the boys antics and ruffled his blue hair, before pressing on with his patrol. Baird nodded to the man before looking over the surrounding landscape, with talent being in climbing he never felt better than when he stood atop a castle wall.

He spotted a boy and girl over by one the guards old patrol shacks, the one near the stream, deciding to go investigate he spotted a thick group of tree's nearby the shack descending down the wall until he was about two feet above the tree's leaping off the wall he grabbed onto a tree branch he swung until he soon began to run along the branches he stopped when he landed perfectly on the roof of the shack beside the boy the boards with the extra weight. "Hello." He began politely.

The knot in his stomach miraculously eased, Angus placed his roll into a belt pouch for later consumption and stepped back from the baker's stall. The battlemaster was much nicer than he had anticipated, but the boy had no doubts about his combat prowess. There didn't seem to be much organization for Choosing Day this year; the masters seemed to just wander around town looking for apprentices instead of having proper requests and interviews. Angus started towards Castle Redmont, perhaps the Baron or his steward would be able to help him understand what was supposed to be happening.

The Baron looked out over the bustling town as the sun rose to its peak. It seemed the day was well on its way. Soon he would he have to send out runners to gather all the Masters and potential Apprentices in one place. Afterwards they would have the traditional feast, to ensure anyone who wasn't picked didn't have any hard feelings, although there was always a drunkard or two that had to be thrown out. The Baron prepared the necessary paper work and started gathering runners to go out.

Ash walked out of the store holding a bunch of medicines when a guy out of nowhere a person [baird] came out of nowhere landing right infront of ash. causing her to drop her entire bag of medicine on the ground having it all break. watching all of the medicine flood into nowhere *5 seconds thats a new record* Ash sighed and said to the kid [Baird] "Watch where your going next time" Ash wasn't really angry. well she was a bit but it didn't really matter at all since ash already had a lot of medicine at the castle. she just hated running back and forth every time in the castle trying to fix a sick person
