I sort of expected it, Maxx has a history of procrastination.

If it's needed, I can play one of his characters for this act.

Eh, he's also a pretty suspicious guy. If worst comes to worst, me or HWWB can try to work with them.

Well I'll give it a couple more days before I'm forced to send Catherine out on her own.

Poor Warren; Mia would vote for leaving Howard behind if the robot only proved to be a hindrance. If anything, it could cover the extraction team as they ran around, parked in a back alley or something. I get the suspicion that Warren is a bit more non-confrontational than Mia.

Maxx's computer is dead-once it's fixed, he should be able to rejoin us. For now, we can just have him ghost along.

I'll add Grit to Tamba and Catherine's group, and then place Isaiah and Stanislov with Cromwell back at the base-that should allow you homies to interact with one another.

Catherine Voss. Recon Team. Phantom-1.
IC Chatter.

After Maria's lackluster briefing, Catherine stared through a monocular at the black smoke billowing out of Tayibe. Like a really damn obvious beacon, it displayed the crashed chopper's location to all. "They must have a hidden cache of heavy weapons somewhere in the city..." She muttered to herself offhandedly. Of course they could have missed a big ass cache of shape-charge launchers, the Taliban were good at hiding their equipment, and so are ISIS. Having civilian homes as a nice hidden storage unit was one of the many perks these desert fighters had out here. And since Catherine and her new found crew couldn't enter any homes, it would have been very easy to miss any heavy ordinance.

She was surprised that Washe had nothing to say as of yet either. Maybe he was just shocked that his plan went tits up in a matter of minutes, or maybe he was just rethinking a new grand plan that will surely be his magnum opus. Or perhaps he was just silently seething in anger. Who the hell knew? Catherine lowered the monocular and stored it her small backpack, filled with ammo and bland tasting MRE's, and looked towards her two companions. "The town is going to be a clusterfuck..." Her voice strangely calm despite the severity of the current situation. "Baron's extraction team was on that chopper..." gesturing with a pinky finger towards the smoke that continued to rise. "So we will have to take their place."

Her eyes squinted towards the faint dots of buildings that were the training grounds. A column of dust was rising as what appeared to be vehicles headed towards the backwater town to provide reinforcements. "And it looks like the numbers in Baron's location will be a lot thinner. The training camp is going to be our best bet. What do you two say?"

Hey, guys, I should probably clarify something: the OOC chatter is mostly intended to be collaborating between players, not necessarily characters. You guys can work out what you want to do without it having to be in IC form if you want. If you'd prefer for it to be in character, that's alright, I just thought not having to do so would make it easier on all of you.

I'll update the IC with Danny Grit, Isaiah, and Stanislov shortly.

Well Catherine is talking to Grit, which is for collaborating. I just decided to write it in a nicer looking fashion.

If you guys wanna keep the OOC clean. I would suggest using Google Docs.

Or it can be something like...

Person A: Hey, what do you think we should do?
Person B: Maybe if we throw a grenade off to the side to create a diversion.
Person C: Right, right, maybe some fire crackers. Something that can imitate gun fire and throw it over the side of the building.
Person A: Okay! I think this can work. Where will we be running?
Person C: Running through the alleys might be better, to stay out of direct gunfire. We can use Comm support to help guide us there since the route isn't very organized.

Holy cow, suddenly we have a pretty okay plan with only a few posts and without wasting time on IC chatter. Which was the original idea behind it.

Leon might be on to something here and in light of that, I'll be more straight forward. It would be in the best interest of the rescue team to have the snipers on the roofs provide cover fire while they advance toward the chopper, if resistance doesn't mount to quickly, getting to the chopper will be easy enough, getting back will be a bit of a fight, but it shouldn't be too hard with snipers keeping the enemy pinned.

Also, I'm pleased with old man Stan's outcome as well, thanks again, HWWB.

I still don't understand at all how any of this is even supposed to work. Are we even allowed to make posts in the IC?

We are absolutely allowed to make IC posts. The point of Maria's Communications means that we are allowed to collaborate OOC and make plans. Once we figure something out, we can put those plans to action IC.

That's a good plan, Chancellor. Grit is with Tamba and Catherine in the Reconnaissance team, which is 4 miles off from Tayibe. They are unfortunately a bit far from the crash and Grit would only really be able to get a close look through the scope of his rifle. Assuming the camp Baron is in is much closer, they'd have a better chance of extracting him, which might be better if they wait to see how the situation handles itself.

Also, for HWWB, who does the short-ranged radio belong to? Was it supposed to be connected to Baron, one of the other Dreadnaughts, or a mystery!

No problem, Chancey. Glad you like it!

Yeah, Synthorian, you're totally clear to make IC posts-the OOC chatter thing exists so if you don't feel like making sixty IC posts having to write out what your character says while you come up with a plan, you guys can debate it out over here and then just have one person throw out the plan in the IC and cut to the chase. If you would prefer to do it the old-fashioned way, feel free, I just thought it might make things easier.

But, Leo....that short-ranged radio has been dead for twenty years! (Yeah, this is gonna be one of THOSE RP's)

Okay, so today I'm headed down to my grandmother's for thanksgiving stuff, and I won't be on tomorrow either since I'll be down there. Just wanted to inform everyone what was going on so everyone's not like 'WHERE'S BEO OH GOD WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE.'

Right then. I think going to the Training Grounds is our best bet. What do you think Leo?

Also, do we have like a map or anything of the area?

No map (the last time I tried drawing something, blood started gushing out of the paper as it wailed in protest) but I can detail it for you if necessary. If anyone who doesn't suck at art feels like whipping one up, you could earn some brownie points, which are infinitely more useful than Fate Points.

That'd make the most sense to me, Synthorian, considering what we're given to work with. We'd make the most impact there, at least. Is it the training camp where Baron is held, or is this place separate from everything entirely?
