Okay so I promised a back story and never bothered to post it so here it is. It's a pretty quick read.
Uldran Firebrand was born to Kalresh a potent Orc Wizard whose wife died in childbirth leaving Kalresh to care for their only child Uldran. As Kalresh grew older he left behind the clan and moved to the logging town of Cypress falls in hopes of passing on his legacy to his son away from the rest of the world. Uldran had other plans. His grandsire Grolack had been a powerful and wise warrior and while his son Kalresh had inherited his cunny he had inherited less of his physical prowess. Not so with Uldran. His father watched as he grew into a massive youth with the blood of his grandfather flowing in his veins. The physical might that had passed over Kalresh, his son had inherited. He had little interest or aptitude for the ways of magic that his father had tried to instill in him. Uldran quickly took to life as a logger but he was not fated to stay there long. During a raid by bandits Uldran ran into a burning building to help save a family and in so doing was forced to lift a burning beam with his right hand. After that he could never use it properly again.
In the coming years Kalresh recognized his son’s potential and instead of forcing him to learn magic began to teach his son the ways of a warrior. While his right hand was of no use he still had use of his left and that was enough. The next time the bandits came Kalresh and Uldran helped to drive them away but in the fight Kalresh was slain. Uldran chased the remaining few bandits and confronted them, in the ensuing fight Uldran was almost killed as well but for the grace of the God Tyr. Lending him strength and power Tyr turned Uldran into a champion of law in a lawless place. When Uldran returned to Cypress Falls it was as a staunch follower of Tyr and with a new purpose in life. To protect and bring order.
Since then Uldran has given up his life as a logger and devoted himself to maintaining the shrine to Tyr in Cypress Falls, training, and acting as a Lawman for the people of Cypress Falls.
