It's nothing. -18 is coat territory, but not closed, -22 to -24 though....something changes. Shit gets cold, fast. -30 is ugly, and I have yet to experience -40 (And I really don't want to....)


It got to -50 a few times when I lived in Fort Mac.

I see the buds on the trees, in about a week or so the mountain laurels will bloom down here. They're the first flowers of the season and fill the air with the scent of grape koolaid.

I will try to do that, they don't last but a few weeks in bloom but the smell is incredible. You can smell it driving by stands of them, even over the car exhaust. It literally smells like grape candy or koolaid.
