For those of you who do not know, Sentinels of The Multiverse is a really great cooperative superhero card game where players take roles of superheroes to work as a team to fight off an evil supervillain. What made the game so much fun was the huge amount of heroes all with their own unique powers, and a large veriaty of villains. So I decided to do a roleplay based on this awesome game. I will get into the rules and how things are going to be run in this rp, I will also post a link to the Sentinels Wiki page which lists all of the different heroes, villains and environments.
How this roleplay will work is that each of us will play a hero whether they are original characters or from the game, and we will work together as a team to defeat a villain. For now our characters will be only facing villains from the game, and since this is a team rp I do expect interaction between the heroes. If there is a point in the rp where it becomes really slow I will do a time skip so that the rp doesn't come a complete halt and die. Once I get enough interest for the rp I will create both an OOC, and a thread for everyone to posts their Character Sheets.

This rp takes place in a world full of costumed crime fighters as well as villains where good and evil are in constant struggle for who will control the world. Both magic and science exist together in this world and heroes and villains fall into one of those two categories.The patriotic hero known as Legacy has battled his nemesis Baron Blade for several years and has always come out on top, but now the evil mad scientist has a plan to finally kill America's pride and joy and bring about untold destruction. He plans to pull the moon into the earth in the hopes that it will finally send Legacy to his grave. With the world at stake, Legacy has gathered together with a group of heroes to stop Baron Blade before he destroys the world.

One of the things I have seen that has been a reoccurring problem in superhero rps is the scale of a character's superpowers where one hero is overpowered and has too many powers with little to no drawback. I have come up with a system which can offer freedom for people to have a character with a wide array of powers but also not have their hero become OP. How this system works is that the more powers you have the weaker they are, for example if a character just had superhuman strength for a power then I would allow that character to have the strength to lift well over a hundred tons. But if you have character with super strength and several other powers then I would only allow them to lift at a max of twenty to thirty tons. This system will apply to all kinds of powers, so while you may want to have a versatile character with many different abilities just know that their powers will be weaker compared a hero with a singular power. The reason I am doing this is because defeating villains in this roleplay is meant to be a team effort and not just the work of one hero. This system does not apply to skills and gadgets.
