Appearance:
Name: Louisa Hoss
Age: 12
Gender: Female
Class: Human, considered slightly above criminal. Louisa lives with a band of “street rats” as the affluent of the city have named. She picks through the garbage and recycling of the city, looking for salvageable parts and things that might be worth selling in the slums. And as a scavenger Louisa is a huge fan of free food, even if that means stealing some.
Background and/or Personality:
Louisa learned from an early age how to survive on the streets, but it wasn't always that way. Louisa can barely remember a time before she lived on the streets. She lived with her mother and father in a relatively nice part of the city. Her parents worked for a wealthy and powerful android manufacturer. Louisa has since heard rumors that her parents were part of a workers union, rebelling against the business that employed them. All Louisa knew was one day she returned home from playing outside to discover her parents were gone and her house was full of cops.
Since that moment Louisa has been living with a small, tight knit, group of people who are also 'down on their luck'. She spends most of her days walking around the slums and lower parts of the city, scavenging for odd trinkets and anything that might make some quick money. Because of this upbringing Louisa is all street smarts and no book smarts.
To someone who has just met her, Louisa appears to be strangely calm all of the time. She always talks with a relaxed voice and her body language mimics this. Her muscles never seem tense and her eyes have a slight cloud to them that makes it seem like she might not always be 'there'. She is also extremely respectful. If you are older then her then she will listen to anything you say and will do anything you ask her to. The only exception to this is police officers and rich folk. Once she gets to know someone, however a more childlike side of her emerges.
Like most other children, Louisa loves to talk to other people. She can make a conversation out of almost anything, however this sometimes comes as a bad thing since she doesn't understand when she needs to be quiet. She also has the tendency to turn things into games, maybe as a way of dealing with fear and stress. It takes a lot of work to get close to Louisa, both physically and mentally. She often tries to avoid people unless told not to and will always act very quietly around people as if scared of messing up and getting in trouble. Louisa finds it easier to get along with people she can see herself in, especially those who promise they won't be hurting her. Or if they bring cookies.
