The white haired drow was slowly waking up, Drew looked around he had to squint to see. The suns light stung his lavender eyes, all he remembered was getting hit in the head then.... Nothing after that, seems like he was knocked out by something, or someone. He tried to move his arms, but found out they were chained to a wall behind him.

Drew didn't know where he was, but he didn't like he was chained. He knew by leaving his brethren he would be an out cast to everyone else on the surface. He groaned a bit, as his head started pounding. He took in his surroundings, a room with walls and one barred window with a barred door in front of him. Now Drew was just wondering where was he?

Eil'lyn winced as the healer unwrapped a wound on her left arm. She stayed quiet, allowing the man to do his work. While it had healed relatively quickly and seemed fine, he told her to continue keeping it clean just incase and not to overwork it. She nodded, thanking him as he rewrapped it. After being dismissed she walked quickly towards where they kept the small number of prisoners.

A single drow had been found in their forest and had been captured. They didn't want to risk a spy, but with the drow showing more aggression lately it was decided it may have information they could obtain. Eil'lyn had been asked to obtain the information. Not usually her job, but it wasn't usually anyones job. She stopped outside a cell marked with a number 3. She informed the guard why she was here, waiting to be let in. She stepped through a moment after the door swung open, letting the guard pull it shut behind her. She didn't wait before asking the first questions, "What were you doing alone in our forest? Spying on us?"

Drew's lavender eyes looked up, when he heard the door open he knew the language. It was close to drow elf tongue, he switched to it "I do not serve the drow anymore I do not serve Lilith, I left my brethren a month back." Not very many people could see past his skin, they treated him like an animal nothing more.

Drew could still see, how cruel his kin were. He wasn't that kind of drow who kill anything in sight if ordered to. The sunlight still stung his eyes, it would be awhile till his lavender eyes could with stand the light. The elf in front of him wanted information, but he knew better than to speak out of turn.

Eil'lyn listened, but hardly seemed to believe the drow before her. "You answered one question, I asked two. If you have left your ilk as you claim, tell me why you were in the forests. Why would you leave your kind?" She asked suspiciously. She didn't believe he was speaking the was speaking the truth, but she couldn't fathom why it would bother with a lie like that, nor did it seem completely impossible.

One thing that gave her reason to think he hadn't lied was his current reaction to small amount of light filtering through to the cell. Most drow would cower from it, be completely unable to see with it blinding them, but he seemed to have some tolerance, however small it may be.

Drew looked up his lavender eyes meeting the elves, "my kind does horrible things I know I saw it, that's why I left I couldn't handle the cruelty my kind shows. The reason I am on the surface is because I left the underdark, if I stayed I would've been killed, plus my kind wants to take over the surface there's going to be a war ." He kept his eyes locked on the elves a moment longer then dropped his gaze to the floor.

Soon night would fall, that's what his body sensed a few more hours of daylight then night would fall, he let out a breath wondering what the elf would ask him next. His eyes were slowly getting used to sunlight, it would be awhile before his eyes were used to the light, but Drew didn't mind that.

Eil'lyn nodded to herself slightly, frowning at his words. "You've explained why you were on the surface," she replied, "but you still haven't told me why you were in the forests. Why were you in elven forests? Surely you knew at least that much about where you were, we don't hide which forests are ours." It was beginning to seem to Eil'lyn as though he was avoiding that particular question. She would prefer if she had the information soon, with night approaching she would have tasks required of her elsewhere.

Drew sighed, "I knew these were elven forests needed a place that I could rest I was going to ask if I could stay here before some of your people caught me and threw me in here." He was tired of explaining himself, he'd done it plenty of times with the humans, but they just tried to kill him. He heard a scream of pain coming from outside maybe 2 miles out. The scream was cut short, Drew looked at the ground "there here sooner than I expected. You need to let me out I can match there skills better than any of you I was trained to think like them, let me go!" Another scream went up into the night, and was cut short he had to get free, so then not all of these people were slaughtered.

Eil'lyn scoffed, when the drow said he had thought he might stay. "You were thrown in- You, a drow, one of a kind who has hardly kept their hands off our throats thought you might stay here?! Of course-" She demanded and was cut off from continuing. The scream was far too near, it was much to close. There had been assaults, raids of late but none so near the citys. She froze as the guard opened the door saying they had invaders, that the drow had begun tearing down their defenses. She nodded, saying she would be there momentarily.

When the guard left, door still open Eil'lyn turned to the drow yelling at her from the floor. "Let's say I believe you, that you are here because you didn't want to be involved In the raids. One soldier doesn't change the outcome of a war. You say you can help, how?" She turned to the door, pulling a jangling set of keys from the wall. If there was a chance he could help she would take it. According to the guard, the drow had already done major damage and she had read into the unspoken fact if they survived this they would be greatly weakened. And if she was wrong..well one soldier doesn't change the outcome of a war, her death at his hands wouldn't doom anyone.

Drew sat there thinking for a moment, "I can help you just give me the chance I need, I promise I won't turn my back on you or any body else I keep those promises just give me the chance I need that's all I'm asking for is to fight them off." More screams went up into the night, "my kind kills without mercy they don't know such a thing as that, they don't leave anyone alive even, if they beg for there life I'm not like that at all I was brought up with hate that my kind showed, but I the hate they showed to me I was disgusted with them I left them behind came to the surface to start a new life. Wherever I go they follow, so please just give me the chance to fight."

Eil'lyn returns with the keys as the drow begins his response. She pauses infront of him for a second, then kneels and presses the key into the lock, "I'm about to give you a chance." She says, pulling the key out after it clicks and standing, "but you try to run, you give me any reason to think you've turned against your word and I will not hesitate to gut you." The screams are louder this time and she makes note that their also in a slightly different direction. Eil'lyn scowls turning on her heel and stepping out through the door. "In front of me, go." She orders sharply, "why are- nevermind. What do you know about their strategy? It must have changed, or they wouldn't have made it this far." She spoke quickly, waving a hand at a guard who begins to draw their sword when they step up the stairs. They are allowed past and Eil'lyn gestures for the drow to follow, heading towards the nearer shouts.

Drew followed the guard out, he grabbed his old great sword. He found the first team of the army and swung, he cut down those drow then moved on. They were working together he had never seen drow work together when he was down there it was new to him, as a group Drew barely knew how they worked together he usually saw drow working alone on raids but not this. He kept cutting down more drow with his great sword, it was becoming dawn more drow bodies than elves they had lost a number of them, but not as bad as the drow, but he knew they would return. They drow retreated back to the caves, and back to the underdark Drew pulled his hood up to help him see his eyes were used to the sun it wad just getting them to a just that was a problem.
