I think having a strip club (or club or something of that nature) would be a great venue to rp around in, Maybe neutral ground owned and operated by a third party (NPC basically)?

Itsuki could always work for the strip club. If its run by the gang then there would most certainly be some underground prostitution and drug stuff.

I like having a business associated with both gangs. I dunno about one being more gang and one being more mob though. Usually suits fight suits and hoods fight hoods. They have different ways of doing business, and often the hoods are run by the suits anyways. Both being mob? I like that.

Have we decided a City, I know Detroit was mentioned or are we making one up? Do the two mob groups own the whole city or are they only a small part of the city (the rest being of little consequence to the two groups)?

*please do not feel like I'm trying to railroad anything, I'm just really excited and intrigued by what we can create.*

Why not have everyone start out being in the same gang/mob. A bank heist could be planned, goes wrong and two people in the gang (npc's) could get killed. This splits the gang up into two groups. Both sides thinking it was the others fault. It would cause a blood feud etc etc.

Or there could be some sort of mob boss who sends out "invitations" to individuals that are talented enough to intrigue him/her. They would have to prove themselves worthy of a position in his family but something goes wrong and two gangs are formed instead and they both decide that they could run the illegal activities in the city better than one crime family could.

Just a couple of suggestions.

Roxy's father might work for the second idea. He is an up and coming criminal he would do something like that.

I like the invitation idea, it's a great idea! it would get everyone in one place... yeah let's do something like that. We could have them split down the middle from there and decide who wants to work with who. I think for the city it shouldn't be an ACTUAL city, but a made up one. We can vote on city names if you are interested.

Also food for thought is always good, I know you aren't trying to derail anyone.

So me and Jade have been discussing a few ideas about the city, and we've both decided on having each gang own businesses within the city, such as the strip clubs you were mentioning earlier, as well as restaurants, bars, garages, maybe even factories and warehouses. If you can think of it, your gang can probably own it. However, we'll be making a map of the city, as well as including in some neutral spots so that members of opposing gangs can interact with each other.

I love that idea! It would give the rivalry more personality and meaning!

Ok so, here's an idea that I came up with involving some of the ideas so far.

What if we start this off with everyone getting an invitation to a criminal boss's house. this sort of invitation could be by word of mouth or what have you, and this way people can be like "Oh, money is involved... let's do this shit!" I feel like it could be Roxy's family that could host this 'party' with promises of a cash reward for all participants. The entire city could be run by a large mafia or something like that. This mafia could have control over a TON of things, and Roxy's father (or who ever we decide fits the bill) will have this plan to take him down via using all of these different characters we've made to help him. We can plan out the tactics later I suppose, but this would get everyone introduced, and then in the middle of the big take down plans things could get ugly. NPC's could wind up dead, and the gang sort of decides "Fuck this, things are getting too weird" while other people are content with the gang and decide to stay. From there on out, it could be an all out war.

I like it. Sounds real enough.

The only problem with the plan is my character, who isn't in it for the money but the protection his family gets. Which can easily be fixed through the wording of the invitation.

Your character could AFFORD the protection that way, but also we could have him meet the group in another way if that's easier?

I already stated in his profile that he's in for the protection not the money. He could afford protection just through prostitution. But the gang could be in need of whores and hires him in exchange for the protection. Besides, the mix of the fact that he's a prostitute, and his family is in some trouble with some pretty bad people would make it hard to get protection.

That would work then. He doesn't have to meet them at the party function. Also, there's been a lot of profiles I've read through so I am definitely not going to remember all the details, just so you're aware.

I know, that's why I mentioned something.

When else would my character be introduced then? Because its really boring to just roleplay a character who's alone for a while.
