It is said that in the beginning of time, a tower fell from the Heavens while we were experiencing the worst cases of famine. A booming voice projected itself throughout all of the world and said to the people, “Enter my tower, the Tower of Kings, and be granted one unrestricted wish.” No one knew who had sent the tower to our world, and no one cared to ask why. It was their one chance at salvation, one could grant a wish to pull the world up from its knees and into the Heavens with only a few words. The young tower gleamed and shined with all of its gilded prosper, hope was reborn. After hearing of what the tower offered to the people of the world, all of the desperate and brave, those that no longer had nothing to live for, and those that wished to exit as a hero, flocked to the tower thinking that all they had to do was step foot into the tower. To their surprise, when they first stepped into the tower, they noticed that it was already inhabited by their exact same races. It was as if the tower had come once before and the people who entered survived, each being granted their wish. It was nice, the very first level is said to be quite peaceful and beyond serene, cheerful music played, the shops were open, small communities were seen as far as the eye could discern. But the the fools neglected the fact that the tower was indeed a tower, having one-hundred level filled with monsters just above the very first. A cesspool of death, creeping right above them, waiting to take each and every one of their lives. One adventurer of the strongest race decided to step foot into what he believed to be the exit of the tower and found that it wasn't an exit, it was in fact an arena filled with numerous monsters of all shapes and sizes. He was never seen again, and nor were the inhabitants of the first floor. The monsters leaked from the second floor's entrance and wiped out the cheerful peoples. There are also these strange being that occupy the tower called... Guardians, these being possess immense power. But it is unknown what they are there for, the majority of Guardians seem to be emotionally detached and just, patrol the tower halls. Few Guardians have tried to help the lesser races get to the last level and claim a wish, the furthest that any race has ever been... is level ten. The tower must hold many secrets as well as powers, the average match rarely lasts more than a good five minutes. Maybe some day... one worthy will conquer the Tower of Kings... some day, someone will possess, the Wish of Fate.
Upon entering The Tower of Kings laughter could be heard, people of all genders and species could be seen walking around together, shopkeepers could be heard advertising their wares, and even a small waterfall that ran into a stream that would zig-zag throughout the inner city of the tower. Not long after entering an old man would be seen walking up to you wearing some sort of hooded robes that had a number of daggers slid into a few leather holsters across his torso and a white oak staff that would twist in a cyclone like form at the top and have a single crystal orb placed at the top. As the old man came forth he would raise his hand in greetings before speaking in an deep and gentle tone. "Greetings traveler, I am Solomon the Patriarch of this place and as I'm sure you are already aware.. this is The Tower of Kings, the place in which many will lose their lives in hopes of getting to the top of this treacherous beacon of hope that is said to grant a single wish to any who reach its peak. I don't think a single person has reached the top yet, in fact last the tower appeared it was here for about a century and still no one got their wish granted, I think that was well over ten-thousand years ago though time does seem to blur together when your in here. Ahh you might be wondering how I know all these details, well as I told you my name is Solomon and I am the Patriarch of this place which means that my soul is bound to the tower, it is all I know so I made it my duty to study the ancient tombs I found when I was brought here and have been studying them ever since. Well I wont keep you so you may carry on as you wish, i just suggest you don't give the Guardians a reason to pursue you as they can be quite nasty when provoked. Oh and I wouldn't bother trying to leave, once you enter it is impossible to leave unless you reach the top. Good luck my friend and feel free to come by and chat with this old man anytime you like, I could use the company." As Solomon finished what he had to say he would walk past you and start his introduction with another new traveler who had just walked through the great stone door.
