Skylar slipped behind a pile of fallen rubble, eyes scanning the street about her warily. Two steps behind her was her twin brother, Jake, hopping down from the higher level with a soft thud. "We clear?" He whispered softly, waiting for his sister's response before making any other moves.

"Looks like." As usual, her response was short and vague. It had been nearly a week since the world had 'ended' and since then, Skylar hardly spoke more than a couple of words at a time unless necessary. Jake sighed and glanced up at the crumbling building, large chunks assumedly blown away by the panicked military strikes. "Let's go." She stood up from her crouched position and began making her way down the large street, the remains of Times Square strewn across the ground. The pair kept to the side of the street, ready to bolt for a store the moment their situation changed.

"Shouldn't we be looking for other survivors? We can't be the only ones around." Jake had to jog to keep pace with his twin's determined stride. Without pausing, Sky turned her head to glare at him before returning her attention to their surroundings.

"They'll just slow us down." He almost expected her to say more, but Sky fell silent and didn't speak again. Yet another attempt at conversation failed. Jake could understand her need to get to safety, but Times Square was bound to have one or two people hiding out in the stores to survive. Shouldn't they help if they were able? No one knew how to deal with the situation than a pair of 'professional' demon hunters.

Blake mumbles to himself while hiding in a broken down car in the streets of Time Square, writing in his Journal. Tears slowly fall onto his page as he keeps writing. He peaks out the window to check if anyone is coming and then goes back down in a ball and continues writing. He sees a cockroach come into the car from a hole in the bottom and crawl across the floor and out another whole. He says silently "I wish I could be like you not a care in the world, just keep trucking along not sure where I'm going until I get there." He continues to write in his journal.

Jarrel was striding along, making his usual way towards center of town remembering all the people he once knew, all the great friends he made. "Still waters run deep" in his mind today he always has a quote or witty saying even after all this crazy shit going on. He's been hoping to meet somebody but it's been a week and he's losing hope. Jarrel trhives with people and being alone using his thing. Even his favorite tunes won't get him cheered up now. Maybe he can make his way to other cities but who knows.

Suddenly Jake found himself face first on the ground, slightly dazed by the sudden change in scenery. "Umm." He muttered outloud, silenced by a hand covering his mouth.

"Shut up." Sky hissed, nearly as low to the ground as Jake had become. Slowly she relesaed her brother from her grip and drew her antique blades from their clips on her hips. Following her lead, Jake reached behind him to pull his shot gun from his pack, sitting up to a low kneel. He followed Sky's gaze down the street a ways, slightly movement barely seen from their current distance. "Can't tell, might be human." Jake rolled his eyes at her tone, inching forward to get a better look himself.
"Might be... We should go-"

"No." Jake turned around, not at all surprised by her quick response. Her eyes shifted down for a moment before back toward the movement, which seemed to be moving in their direction. "I don't want to take an uneccessary risks." Jake continued to stare at the girl, watching as her attention bounced between him and the unknown target. After a few moments of silence, Skylar growled and knelt down beside him. "Fine, but it comes to us."

Double Post

Blake hears the talking and slightly peaks threw the car window trying hard not to be seen and spots a figure in the distance and goes back down shivering and says silently "Oh no not now I'm too young to die!"

As jarrel keeps his stride he has a wizard feeling, one that he hadn't gotten in a while. He felt he was being watched and at first just tree it off his imagination but as he walked towards a car he sees a small figure in the car he almost jumps in happiness but tries to keep quiet he sneaks up to the car ever so slightly having one crossbow at the ready

Freaking out Blake frantically packs up everything and tries to hide his best in the car since he knows running would only get him more noticed. He decided he'll hide underneath the seats . Blake pulls out his silver knife holds it in front of him hoping that it'll protect him but he has his doubts...

Dubs

Jarrel hears the small commotion in the car. He slowly loads his crossbow with a bolt and takes the initiative he charges the car searching the seats. He finds a dude whose looking really scared with a knife in front of him, Jarrel won't take chances so he aims at the man " now listen you've got 10 seconds to convince me not to shoot you and you better be good at it too

Blake stares at the man quivering in fear unsure of a response and just silently mutters "Because then you'd be alone again" Blake closes his eyes and hopes that works.

Sky crept forward, Jake following not too far behind, poking her head around the cover of an abandoned car. She watched as the boy continued approaching the general area in which the pair was hiding, sighing slightly when the figure stopped a safe distance away. "What is doing?" Jake whispered from behind his cover, remaining as close to the ground as he possible could.

"Stopped... By a car, something's caught it's eye." She paused, before tightening her grip on her blades. "Weapon. Crossbow by the looks of it." Falling silent for another couple of moments, Jake worried she wasn't going to say anything else. "Stay put." Jake didn't have any time to protest before the girl disappeared behind another pile of rubble, most likely planning out their escape route. He sighed heavily before inching forward, attempting to get a better view of what was happening at the other car.

"You just had to be armed, didn't you? I was really looking forward to meeting another person." Jake pouted and pulled his gun close to his chest, leaning out from behind the car to see better.

Blake starts breathing even heavier and sweating more and more and starts to think that maybe he won't be able to ever reach his destination or finish his journal, he knew this was it and that there was no way around it so he closed his as and awaited death.

Jarrel after a long though, but not really he was just distracted looking at the other guy squeal, he though it was funny, he haven't felt this way in a while and he just wanted to soak it in. He shot his arrow to the nearest tire and extended a welcoming hand, saying alright kid but if you got any funny buisines on me your done for, now come on and stop shaking all about get out of that car, names Jarrel but you can call me J

Blake looked confused at the fact that he didn't shoot him and now is offering him a hand but since J didn't kill him Blake took his hand and got out of the car. Blake took all his stuff and put it in his satchel and put his dagger away. He looked back at the hole at where the cock roach left and saw that it came back and looked at him. Blake picked the cockroach up and said "I'm B-B-Blake and...." he looks at the cockroach "and this is my friend Felix the Cockroach" Blake puts the cock roach in his pocket. He looks around and sees a shadow behind another car and thinks maybe there is another person.

Jake watched as the more aggressive looking guy helped some kid out of the car, the hostility seeming to disappear. For a moment, he sighed with relief, glad that it hadn't ended badly. That was until he noticed the nervous kid looking over in his direction. Snapping his head back behind the car, he pulled his gun up to a ready-to-fire position while glancing around for some sign of his sister. She had moved off in a direction that he hadn't kept track of, no telling how far from him she was, if he got into trouble he was on his own. He gulped nervously and knelt forward on his toes, ready to bolt up if the more aggressive looking guy went on the attack. "Come on Sky... Where are you?" He hissed beneath his breath, searching frantically for the missing girl from behind his shelter.
