Everest sighed, [i] Humans are so disappointing [i/] he thought he looked out the window at the streaks of lightning. He had to get the two humans away from town as fast as possible since the spell is melting. The human facade of the sleepy town was going to fade, the protective spell around the bakery was fading also, it would soon be weak enough for other creatures of the night to slither through and devour the unknowing souls. The cat could even feel his own disguise fading. He jumped off of Jaron, he crouched down, slowly he began to transform, growing taller, Everest would soon transform into a man.

Ezri groped in the dark, "Jaron?" he called out once more, Ezri let out a frustrated sigh, his hands searched, he gripped something that appear to be a flashlight, turning it on he maneuver his way in the dark, the bakery seems a lot bigger than he imagined. The boy jumped when he heard a can fall behind him. Something else is in the bakery.

Jaron couldn't believe what he was actually seeing after Everest jumped of off his shoulder. It seemed like not only was the cat now growing taller but that the very bakery itself was getting larger by the second. This was getting way too creepy for his liking and seemed like a nightmare that was slowly creeping in on what had been a lovely dream at first. He didn't want Ezri to be alone in this and he had to find him no matter what. He thought he heard a faint call of his name and quickly called back in return,"Ezri is that you!?" Jaron stood in the same spot not moving since the cat was freaking him out and worse, he was starting to get this sick feeling that he and Ezri were not alone. "We need to get the hell out of here..." he whispered to himself, glancing behind him every now and then.

Everest could sense that Jaron was panicking, for good reasons. Humans are so funny, everything surprises them Everest thought, he felt his fur raise, there was something in the bakery with them, and it is not friendly. Since the protective spell was wearing off in the town the facade was melting. Once it's completely gone, then the town would reveal another world.

"We have to hurry," Everest spoke quietly, he lashed for Jaron's wrist and began to guide the human, whom matched him in height, "The faster we leave this building the better." From behind the counter Everest took out a bat, he handed it to Jaron. "We're almost to Ezri, think you can handle a weapon, pretty boy?"

Ezri's flashlight flickered on, he sucks in a deep breath as he looked around the storeroom. Something did fall to his feet, he quickly rolled the can out of the way, only to hear another drop. Narrowing his eyes, Ezri listened to the movement, it was a scurrying movement, though unlike a rat's. His grip on the heavy flashlight tightened as he turned around. It was a tiny creature, it snarled at Ezri, launching itself at the boy.

Ezri with lightning reflexes swung his heavy flashlight and the creature hit the wall, "Don't... not again!" The creature squeaked, which terrified Ezri as he quickly threw a can at it and ran out the storage room, screaming.

Jaron felt the other latch onto his wrist before pulling him along and guiding their way through the dark. The once cat was now his height and very much different then he was before but that was the least of his worries at the moment. Something was completely off and Everest seemed to be the only one that knew what was happening so the other man being frantic was not a comforting feeling. He was lead to behind the front counter, a bat handed to him not long after which made him frown and worry for Ezri's safety increase. "Call me pretty boy again and you'll find out just how much I can handle a weapon. Let's go get Ezri and get the hell out of here. Any questions or explanations can wait." he said seriously, his fingers gripping the bat handle till they turned white.

Ezri, mortified bolted out of the storage room and up the stairs, he needed to get out of the bakery and find Jaron, It would be much safer being with the other stronger male. The creature didn't follow Ezri but the male found it hard to stifle a sob as he ran, it was the most terrified he had ever felt in his life. After making it up the stairs, Ezri looked around, he saw two male figures, one of them familiar to him, it was Jaron. The smaller male, without a second thought basically jumped into Jaron's arms.

Everest smirked when Jaron threatened him, it was somewhat cute that a human would think such a thought. He brushed it aside, before they could move his cat ears detected movements up the stairs, rapid movements, and a small sob. It was definitely Ezri. The cat boy stepped forward, hoping to comfort the boy when he comes running. But he was caught by surprise when the boy ran past him and straight for Jaron. Everest shot Jaron and annoyed look, he gave a small hiss.
