'The posters were everywhere in New Tokyo. The NTNT, as it has come to have been called, is believed to be leading force against all things industrial in New Tokyo. They are believed to be related and involved in several bombings in construction sites and labratories. Though no casualties have been caused from these bombings, it is believed that more of them will be coming in the future with the Mayor's agreement to allow the building of the New Tokyo Nuclear Power Plant. We are unsure what..' *The TV flickers off in the high school as the power winks out.*

"No need to be alarmed students, it is just another power outage!" calls the Teacher to the worried students. It was more than that though. It was the fifth power outage in the last week. Three of them had lasted about an hour before power was back on. Truth is, most people feared that NTNT were behind it. If they could control the power supply throughout the city then nobody knows what they could do. Most speculators fear that the NTNT would plunge New Tokyo into a new Dark Age; one which has not been seen since the Crisis of 2032. But the students weren't worried; they were too young to get involved in such things. Their parents, teachers, even some of their family would talk in hushed voices around them when mentioning the NTNT.

That's just how the world works correct? People hide things from other people. It is only natural. But, why is it neccessary to hide things that are going on the real world from people who will soon be entering the real world. Do they know something you don't? Even then, do they think it is better for you to go into the harsh reality of New Tokyo ignorant and blind like a new born puppy? Yet, it is a hard choice for them. You can see it in their faces, haggard by having to hide this secret from you for so long. But, that is not something for you to worry about at this time. It is only two weeks before you offically graduate from High School after all! Let's just hope nothing goes wrong before then.

Welcome one and all to the world of New Tokyo. Well, not the world per se but the city of New Tokyo. We are still on Earth but in a future time. Let's say, about twenty years after 2032 so it is 2052. What is so important about 2032 you say? Well, it is the date of the Crisis of 2032 which struck Tokyo. Those who survived still tell stories of it but few people really talk about what happened. But, let's put this past us, the Crisis is not why we are here(though it will be explained in the OoC). We are here because you, yes you the reader of this here following paragraph, will play a student in New Tokyo who is graduating. Whether this is by the skin of your teeth, studying you butt off or just plain bribing some people for the answers is up to you. The roleplay will start off with a fairly straight forward day at school for you guys, a Friday in fact.

And we will probably go through somethings further into the roleplay and then I will reveal the whole idea that the plot is based upon. Right now I am just thinking this as a Sci-fi, slice-of-life and a little mix of action roleplay. As I said though, can't reveal too much otherwise it will ruin the surprise of what I have in store. Anyway, just tell me if this idea is interesting to y'all and I will get the OoC up as soon as we have four or five people.

Side Note: That is just the Working Title. I need to come up with a better name for this but for now it will work.

Well, it is nice to see you are interested but I seem to have made a flaw in my designs so I will be posting a new version of this idea with a slightly revised opening post and the such. Anyway, anybody coming in who is interested about this idea will just need to wait a few days and hope that the Guild is stable enough for the revision to be posted.

The NTNT poster was plastered to the white boards of nearly ever teacher's rooms. They wanted to make a statement that 'The NTNT is not the right pathway for intelligent students like you.' as it was phrased by the schools Physical Education director. It was the typical thing all the teachers said before the graduating class left the school once and for all. This is where you come in at, you've graduated! It is a wonderful feeling to know you've succeed to graduate after all those years in school. It is a feeling the helps distract you from both the real world and what has been happening around you.

You can't explain it but every time you are walking down the street, hallways or wherever really, you see something just out of the corner of your eye. A black figure that rushes away before you can get a good look at it. If you don't look directly at it, you notice that it seems to be following you like a stalker would. But, the black shadows never get closer than maybe ten feet to you and, if you abruptly stop, it seems that the shadow hides in impossible places such as small trash cans and underneath cars that ride low. When you try to sleep, you have glimpses of creatures as your eyes close. Fleeting images of beings with bug eyes and unnaturally long tongues.

For the past few weeks, these nightmares and shadows have been on your minds at all times. Whenever you mention them to your friends and family they just laugh and say you are seeing things or overstressed. Truth is, you just might be overstressed. But for the past two weeks, you have had no reason to be overstressed since finals are over. Anyway, you were invited to a party thrown by one of the rich kids at school. Well, not exactly invited as everybody just sorted talked about there being a massive party with a possibility of alcohol and intense partying. It is a chance to take your mind off of the visions and let loose one last time before you go to college. Just stay safe and hope you parents don't find out what you are doing.

Is there room for one more? This looks like a great RP in the making.

Rules:

1. No Bobs or Marys. Nothing against the name but it is just an example. I don't want plain characters who seem like your everyday person. Write your character as you feel they should be while keeping in mind that they have been seeing things for the past few weeks.

2. No perfects. Perfects are characters who seem to pop up all the time who are perfect at everything. Example: A character is is skilled at Archery, Swordsmanship, Horse riding and everything else. Don't do that. I am fine with characters who try to be perfect but I don't want any characters who are perfect.

3.No management jobs. Your seniors and have probably been working for two years now. You would not be in a management level job no matter how hard you have worked.

4. GPA. I know what you are thinking 'But why can't we all have 4.0 GPAs?'. Well it is pretty simple. GPAs reflect how well you turned in work in school and the grades you made on said work. In no way are they measures of intelligence. So, I don't want everybody to have a 4.0 since not everybody will try as hard as those who do have 4.0s since, honestly, this is high school folks.

5. Money. You are not rich, you parents could be but you are not. If you are working a job you are probably getting payed $7.25 or $7.50 an hour. Majority of you probably will not have the money to drive a car all that often since your parents won't pay for gas.

6. The last and most important rule. Write only what you feel you should write. Your goal here is to make a character that you want to play as. You are not here to write a character for me. I am just here to approve the character and suggest changes if the need be.

Well for the sake of collaboration, my character is the drummer in a band he and his friends started. I originally thought the other members would just be NPCs but if anyone else wants to be in it go ahead and PM me and we'll get it worked out.

So how Sci fi are we talking here?

We are talking about bionic limbs, holographic projectors, hover boards, robots and advanced AI. Our communication devices are likely to be holographic projectors that fit on the wrist. Robots are about as intelligent as the average human and hover boards are a common form of transportation for teens and such. The AI is not smart enough to act on its own but capable of remembering day to day activities.

Is this still happening?
