Seeing as how we're claiming, here's my potential spot. The Traits look fine to me, by the way.

@wanderingrebel

Yes, it's absolutely fine to choose an unmarked spot in the map and make it something how you like. UK? Sure.

KINGDOM SHEET

Name of the Kingdom:
Current Ruler:
Dynasty:
Flag: (You can put an image or describe it here, the coat of arms too, if you'd like.)
History:
Traits:
Claim on the map: (Please supply an image, don't try to describe that stuff.)
Additional things to fill in: (Culture, Traditions, Customs, Et Cetera.)

You have 10 points to spend on all traits. You must have two flaws. You can get more flaws in exchange for more points. Feel free to get some Special Traits and Flaws, and I'll see them over.

Do not take Flaws which are completely opposite of the traits you took. For an example, it's better not to take a flaw about bad ships when you chose many traits for good ships.

^ I know a lot of people have picked out a spot on the map already, but I still feel I should recommend finding a different map. The current map is mostly aquatic, for one, and a map divided into multiple large continents simply doesn't fit a medieval era role-play.

Do each trait cost one point unless specified?

Nexerus does have a point. While the map does have a good amount of land it is separated by a lot of water. Maybe if some of the continents were merged or grouped all together then it would be better for those focusing on land-based ventures

Yeah...considering that I'm going to be land-focused, I have to agree...

There's also the issue that you coloured both Chernogravia and Wund in purple ovals, and didn't identify which was which.

Right. Your complaints are noted. Also, yes, all traits cost one point unless specified otherwise.

EDIT: New map, everybody. Sorry for my glorious cartography skills.

Blue's water, by the way. The black outlines the land.

^ If you'd like, I could hunt down some fantasy world maps and PM you candidates to pick through.

Most maps that I'd find would include topographical information (locations of mountains, deserts, etc), so that would mean that we could also group cultures that way instead of using the cultural equivalents. For example, you could place an Arab inspired kingdom in a desert part of the map rather than in the circle labelled 'Astieb'.

That would also give people a little more freedom, and help keep kingdoms from being spread too far apart; ensuring that all or most kingdoms have neighbours provides for more inter-kingdom interaction, which is the whole purpose of the roleplay.

Sure, Nexerus. I'd just like some map that's preferably blank and easy to edit through paint yet still have it look nice. The cultural equivalents are simply made so that Arabian kingdoms aren't neighboring with norse ones.

But then how are we going to get a Mamluke vs Berserk showdown?
