REBOOT
Due to some circumstances my previous attempt was made during a rather busy time. Instead of trying to get this one back up and running I figured the best method would be to reboot the roleplay.
STORY
Welcome to the year 2X58 when the world has changed quite a bit during an event known as the Phasing. The Phasing was when the veil between dimensions ruptured, torn, or else just failed to keep things that were supposed to be hidden from each other, occurred. Needless to say all havoc broke loose when the Phasing first occurred but thanks to the swift action of various organizations the veil was repaired but not before many other entities had forced or tripped their way through to the human dimension. Suddenly having to deal with strange beings and supernatural entities humans decided to create special units devoted to stopping these new threats and dealing with the various supernatural problems that arise. Most of these groups are human but one organization decided on creating their own special monster/supernatural squad to deal with situations.
Not all these otherworldly/fantasy beings dislike the human world and some have even decided on helping out by joining the Monster and Supernatural Extermination Squad. Some though are pressed into service, but the fact is this group was created with the idea that creatures not originally of this world would be better suited to dealing with otherworldly problems. The members of this elect group have been given their own special compound where they can live in peace while they are not on a mission. The compound is accommodated to their specific needs, each resident having their own special room in the facility.
THE SETTING
Edge City: The city where a good portion of the story takes place, this city was hit quite hard by The Phasing and has become rather infested with other dimensional creatures. It is also still one of the most unstable locations on the world with dimensions rifts still appearing from time to time, making it even more chaotic. Because of the crazy nature of the area it was thought to be the best place for the Squad to be located so they could interfere when necessary. As the area has been rather 'infested' by human standards, there are certain areas where monster communities have sprung up, though most are shadow groups at this point in time. Edge City was not the original name of the town, but after The Phasing everyone feels like they are living on the edge so the name stuck.
The Lost Sector: Name given to the section of town that was hit the hardest by the Phasing and was almost destroyed. It has since been rebuilt, mostly out of steel and iron, to help accommodate the somewhat large extra-dimensional population. A good analysis of the Lost Sector would be that of a monster ghetto, a place where most of the city's population of 'integrated' monsters reside. The area is not patrolled by the city and instead is mostly isolated from the rest of the city. There are monsters living outside this area but most are relegated to this spot. Because of strong resentment toward monsters often talks of 'cleansing' the Lost Sector pop up in the city. Generally lawless many criminal monsters hide out in this sector.
The Pandora Complex: The Pandora Complex is the name of the 'apartment' complex where members of the squad live while off-duty. The residents comprise of Monster residents and human caretakers for the most part, these caretakers of course being part of the organization behind the squad's construction who are there to make the lives of the residents comfortable, while also keeping an eye on them. The complex comes complete with a gym, swimming pool, indoor greenhouse, eatery, and even a few convenience stores.
Anti-Monster Society: The largest of the organizations devoted to stopping supernatural threats, it is entirely human based and has a zero-tolerance policy against monsters. This organization considers extra-dimensional creatures to be mere animals that deserve extinction. They view the Monsters and Supernatural Extermination Squad as a black mark on humanity, still they grudgingly except the fact that it is a part of the city’s defenses so at least they will not attack on sight. While they acknowledge the legality of the organization they are still not above having unfortunate accidents occur during missions that might put a member of MASES in jeopardy.

Situation Report
Section devoted to keeping role players on track during the roleplay. Major events and the current happenings will appear here.
Rules
1. This role play shall be rated PG-13 meaning the black screen a.k.a. PMs for anything that is obviously out of that range. This rule is so that anybody you wants to read can do so without being potentially scarred for life.
2. I am not a fan of cursing so try to keep such actions to a minimum. !@$! does not help expand on a character and is merely annoying to see. Maybe the occasional damn but aside from that no characters who curse every single sentence.
3. Obviously I am the GM so just listen to me when I make a decision and don't argue. If you want to tell me something please pm me the request or suggestion.
4. God-modding is a no-no, that being said your characters can still be quite powerful but when interacting with others, or even npc enemies for that matter, don't be too awesome or you'll take away other characters' glory. Plus if you go too far I can easily find some way to smack some sense into your character, its a big multi-dimensional universe out there after all.
5. Try to remember this is a casual role play. You do not have to write a book but I expect good grammar, punctuation, and at the very least a whole paragraph per post. This is not a Free Role Play.
6. Not a fan of real life pictures for appearance so just don't. Kinda forgot about this one.
