> I told ya. > > I wasn't trying to upset anyone when I first said it. I was only hoping that saying so would inspire some people to do something different so the RP played out more interestingly. I initially went with a spy based kingdom that had ancient merchant families who literally believed knowledge to be power, but cut it when I noticed other people were already having kingdoms like that and decided to go in a totally different direction. Are my current traits good? I haven't expanded my app yet since I had to introduce a new trait that I am not certain if the GM is okay with. Mainly since the negative trait depleted resources is -1 point and depletes both farmland and ores while I made a negative trait that only depletes farmland. I fear he might not like a negative trait that does half the harm of an already existing negative trait. Perhaps the depleted resources trait is a less extreme depletion of farmland/ores than a negative trait that solely depletes ores or farmland?

I've created a Kingdom of zealots from a religious minority. Let's see how long they last in the world stage.

On second thought, this might mean that for basically the first time in NRP history, naval combat isn't a sideshow.

Unless you know, your nations have very powerful land caravans as well. (which most do) :P

That doesn't make your caravans more cost effective, just safer. If you can secure your maritime trade, you should, as it will be cheaper.

Boerd has a point. Caravans are much slower and more costly in the end. But whatever. My statement doesn't really hold true.

Regardless, with all the trade hate, I may abandon my original plans for Lythos and just fill my nation with men in clunky metal suits instead of men carrying bags of clunky metal. :P

Name of the Kingdom: Atlantis Current Ruler: Muun IIIII A Child of The Moon Dynasty:A Child of The Moon The Dynasty of Atlantis functions as an Imperial Cult. The emperors are seen as gods, sons and daughters of the moon. The story that goes around the kingdom says that they were born on the moon, the gods living there brought them to earth to grow up and be leaders, to represent them on earth. This causes a strong feeling of patriotism to anyone born there, though this means they're also a little arrogant and secretly think they're superior to the other kingdoms. Atlantis puts a strong focus on water due to it seeming to have a connection wit h the moon, Flag: The flag is rather different from the usual stripes of colors. Their flag consists of a dark black base, representing night. 1/3th of the bottom part of the flag is painted blue, representing water and the top part is a white circle, representing the moon. History: Two thousand years ago the kingdoms were totally different and some land hadn't been discovered yet. The earliest humans that created ships and tested them out, unfortunately weren't experienced in using them and were lead by the wind to the current country of Atlantis. This happened more than one time before they got it right, even of other kingdoms. They learned how to survive in their land, knowing that they were stuck there and started experimenting with ships more. They grow more and more until they were actually relevant as kingdoms, stories of how they existed going around. Traits: _Beloved by the people Honorable folk Wondrous beauty_ **Good archers Awe-inspiring fortifications Ships Riding the waves Seaworthy** **_Important trade routes Ports Industry _** Arguable claims Depleted resources Even your horses look weak Serf Armies. Claim on the map: (Please supply an image, don't try to describe that stuff.) Additional things to fill in: (Culture, Traditions, Customs, Et Cetera.) Their warstyle is a weird one. They suck at fighting up close, to the point where twenty of them would get slaughtered by just one cavalry soldier. However, they're an expert in ranged combat and that is their strategy. Forcing opposition in positions to use arrows. Usually by using their reinforced walls to shoot arrows to people who attack, or use their fast boats to attack other ships using their boats while running circles around them. Often when attacking overseas they'll stay close to their boats and simply attack using their arrows, if opposition tries to come closer they'll run away back to their ships and disappear with their fast boats

Name of the Kingdom: Noorlund Current Ruler: Erik 'Sunderskull' Jordahl Dynasty: Jordahl Flag: http://imgur.com/4v7jwOC History: Noorlund is a confederacy of tribes more than a kingdom, but the young king Erik Jordahl united the warring northern tribes in a devastating conquest of the region begun by his father before him. While there is some flavour and distinction when it comes to each tribe, the ruling Jordahl Jarls carry with them a deep tradition of militarism. Many youths wield a sword far before they can write their own name. That is not to say the northmen are ill-educated. On the contrary, theirs is a vibrant and sophisticated culture. Their position in the world means their crop yields are extremely poor, however they have access to great swathes of land appropriate for ore mining. This influx of metals means not only an importance in world trade, but also self sufficiency when it comes to suiting up their newest warriors. The lack of agriculture however lends itself to a naturally aggressive, raiding society. Neighbours of Noorland beware, small bands of raiders love to cross into unknown territory and take everything in sight before heading home - all under cover of darkness. Traits: Foraging, Show of War, Masters of Ambush, Light Armour, Trained Troops, Good Equipment, Riding the Waves, Rich with Ores, Industry, Horrible Vassals, Arguable Claims, Famine Claim: http://imgur.com/xoTo46W Culture and Traditions: The Jordahl family is of Wund descent, warriors and raiders who traversed the cold northern wastes to carve out a nation state of their own. Sorry I wasn't able to get my flag and claim to display in the message... I'm rather new to this forum. I love nation RP though and would love to take part in this. I also took one extra flaw and one extra trait... if that's okay? :)
