Abaddon glanced at Camael, shifting his gaze to where her hand had laid. It had had a somewhat calming effect, though not without being coupled with his own willpower did the rising blood lust settle.

He begrudgingly followed after the angel, anger still just below the surface, barely contained. His back itched as his wings squirmed, wishing to be set free and take on his true demonic form.

'Not today', he thought.

Camael shot a small smile towards Abaddon before heading inside the house, where loud electro pop music was blaring and seemed to echo against the walls. The teenagers could easily be spotted as they danced around the trashcan fire they created. One stood to the side, smoking a cigarette while holding a book that, if Camael tilted her head at an angle, had a false Satanic symbol encrypted on it. Camael wanted to slam her head into a wall.

These children were attempting, and gloriously failing, to summon a demon. She looked over her shoulder to see Abaddon. She supposed that they hadn't failed entirely.

When the teens decided it was high time to do some chant composed of random three lettered words being shouted into the air, Camael made herself known. She clicked her tongue, irritation radiating off her in waves as she felt that none of their souls were pure any longer. "You're trespassing," she announced, and she meant it. They were trespassing in Abaddon's home, and in the paradise that the Creator made for the kind souls.

Abaddon watched the teenagers with a deep scowl. Where had they gotten the idea that any of this would work? He supposed they had looked on the 'internet', of which he had only had brief interactions with.

His hands twitched by his sides; he could sense how deeply marred their souls were. If they wanted to converse with demons, all they had to do was die - their souls were destined for Hell. Abaddon only wished to speed up the process.

He glanced to Camael, her irritation obvious. There was no doubt that she knew how sinful the bunch were. Maybe...maybe she'd step aside and allow him to do what he was best at.

"Cam, perhaps I could simply show these kids the door?" Abaddon proposed, the true meaning evident.

Camael narrowed her eyes at Abaddon. The true meaning in his words was evident, and she had to admit that for a moment, she was tempted to answer an affirmative. But her moral code wouldn't allow it. No matter how wretched these children were, they were still the children of the Creator, and as an angel, it was her lifelong duty to look after them.

"No, Abe," she answered, her yes betraying her words. If only it were possible...

Turning back to the teens, she noticed that they'd stopped their shenanigans to ogle at them. She paid them no mind, knowing that their minds were clouded because of the harmful chemicals mixing within their bodies. "As I was saying," she told them. "You're trespassing. Leave. Now." Her tone was final, something that always had the young angels scurrying to follow. But as she gazed at the fanatics who had their heads up in the clouds, she knew they wouldn't be smart enough to listen.

Abaddon grimaced slightly as Camael refused his offer. He knew that she would have liked to allow him to do his work but she was still an angel. Such a pity.

He shook his head, partly out of disgust and partly out of irritation. "They can barely hear you. There is no wy that they'll leave of their own accord."

Camael grimaced as she watched the teens laugh hysterically. Sadly, Abaddon was right. There was no way she'd be able to take them off the premises without the use of a little force. Sighing, and silently blaming the sin that reeked off the city, she gestured for Abaddon to take the stage.

"I'm not well versed in dealing with the likes of them," she admitted. "Perhaps, your expertise would be more appropriate. But don't kill them, okay?"

Abaddon silently stepped away from Camael, towards the still laughing teenagers. Barely able to hide his contempt - knowing that he didn't really need to - he approached the first boy and leaned in close, whispering something shortly.

The boy turned white as a ghost, his laughter ceasing. Again, Abaddon leaned forward, towards the second teen. A whispered exchange and the teen's complexion matched his friend's.

It wasn't necessary to repeat the action on the third teenager; his friends sputtered and ran out the door, the third friend stumbling after. Abaddon smirked as he watched them flee.

Camael watched as the teens scurried off, looking for all the world as if they'd seen a ghost. Arching a brow at Abaddon, she asked, "What did you say to them?" She was utterly curious, as she wasn't able to hear it. Whatever it was, if it had that effect on those teens, it must have been something utterly terrifying.

"Don't tell me you've damned them all to hell," she muttered.

Abaddon simply shook his head. "No, nothing of the sort," He smiled at her in a somewhat cryptic manner. "Shall we get on with what we came here to do?"

He was by no means a particularly secretive man; most there was to know about him he happily volunteered. However, there were some things he preferred to be kept a secret.

Camael watched the man carefully for a moment. He was keeping something from her, and whatever it was, she wanted to know. But he was right. There were more important things at hand. They came to Abaddon's house for a reason. The demon's secrets could be pushed aside for a moment.

She nodded her acceptance and took a few steps towards Abaddon, carefully erasing any form of personal space between them. "To speak to the Creator is to open up your heart to His unlimited goodness," she said, her words a mere whisper. She placed her hand on Abaddon's chest and closed her eyes. "There is so much hatred inside you. It's near impossible for you to speak to the Creator." Her eyes fluttered open as her lips curved into a small smirk. "But that's why I'm here."

With no other warning, she broke the few inches that stood between them and pressed their lips together, giving Abaddon's soul a jump-start of pure angelic light in the only way she knew how to.

Abaddon glanced down at the angel's hand, surprised that she would so readily touch him. She had seemed so repulsed not too long ago and--

His surprised thoughts stopped dead as her lips found his. If he had been shocked before, it was nothing compared to this. Along with shock, came a sudden feeling of what he could only imagine redemption to feel like. And it hurt. It tore through him and left no area unexplored, extending pure white tendrils everywhere.

Abaddon kept his lips on Camael's for a multitude of reasons; one of them to prevent his crying out in pain.

Camael felt Abaddon's pain - the full force of it, and it made her want to weep. In fact, a couple of lose teardrops made their way down her cheeks for the demon. But she kept their connection. Only a little bit more, she wanted to tell him. She didn't need to attempt to fully purify him - not even an angel of her caliber could do such a thing. All she needed was an opening. All she needed was that small flickering light to stay strong for a moment.

She smiled against Abaddon's lips. There it was - the opening. She broke the kiss with a lingering touch, before she stepped back. Her eyes shut close and she put her hands together - praying with all her heart for the Creator's guidance. Hearing His voice was never hard for her. The hard part about this task would be making Abaddon hear it.

But with that opening and that light - albeit small - in his soul would be enough. Should be enough.

She opened her eyes and locked her gaze with the demon. "Listen," she told him. "Listen for His voice."

Abaddon opened his eyes and found himself staring into the angel's own eyes. He felt peculiar; that was the only word to describe it. There was a kind of weightlessness in his chest, as if burdens were tangible and had been lifted. He couldn't hear anything at first - fear of failure threatened to replace the weightlessness.

There was a kind of buzzing, a kind of muffled murmuring, almost like the voices of sinners he had become so used to but pure. The sound grew stronger until he heard a voice. Abaddon laughed, a sound of relief.

"I can hear Him," The demon murmured. "I can."

Camael's eyes widened at Abaddon's words. He could hear Him. They actually managed to do it. She was one step closer to helping this demon find salvation. Pure ecstasy washed over her like a tidal wave, taking her away from the present and into the ocean of the Creator's unconditional love. She allowed herself the joyous moment to engulf Abaddon in a hug - albeit one that lasted merely a few seconds. She stepped away again, nodding towards the heavens and thanking Him for answering her prayers. "I know if anyone can help you, it's Him," she whispered, her voice low in fear of breaking the connection the demon had made. "So please," she gestured for them to continue before making her way to the shadows in an attempt to provide them with the privacy they needed.

Abaddon shifted uncomfortably as Camael moved away from him; he almost reached out and grasped her hand, drawing her back to him and having her protect him. What was he supposed to say? What could he say? It had been so long since he was even in His presence. The last time he heard His voice, it was damning. He glanced up, half expecting to see Him there. Where could he even begin? An apology? Mere words couldn't be sufficient. Abaddon looked towards the angel, pleadingly.

There was something odd about how Abaddon reacted to her absence. Camael saw something in his eyes that she couldn't quite understand. Did he want her to accompany him? Why would he wish for such a thing when there he was, standing in the unadulterated presence of the Creator? Camael had only had that attention shined on her and only her, and she had reveled in the feeling of love and purity that encompassed her. Wait. Was it that? Was love and purity something that Abaddon couldn't take? Of course, he was a demon after all. How reckless of her not to take account his feelings in this matter. Nodding her head resolutely, she moved towards him, a reassuring smile in place. "Perhaps, an introduction?" she suggested.

Abaddon let out a breath he didn't realise that he'd been holding as Camael returned to him. He smiled briefly in wordless thanks before bowing his head in silent thought. No, not thought. _Prayer_. Abaddon was praying. His words, verbal at least, failed him - to be fair, his long forgotten fluency with prayer had to have shown. Silently, he introduced himself, feeling quite foolish, even moreso when he asked if He remembered him; remembered who he once was.

Camael continued to watch, wondering what was going on in the demon's mind. She could feel a change in his psyche, though - a beautiful change, and she couldn't help but smile. Her hand connected in front of her chest, palms together, as she sent a prayer of her own. She apologized for interrupting, but sent her thanks for the Creator's aid and her hope for Abaddon. He wasn't the best person she'd ever met, but he was someone worth the redemption. Camael's eyes found Abaddon again, and her smile grew.

Abaddon glanced at Camael for only a brief second but it encouraged him to continue. He could feel Him more than he could hear Him. There had been a faint murmuring at first, perhaps something to just show he was present, but there was a light flowing through him at every barely heard word. The demon had to ask. He couldn't put it off for any longer. He clasped his hands together as the angel did and did what he never thought he'd have the desire, let alone the means to, do - he asked for forgiveness. There was a silence, both the feeling and quiet sound gone for what felt like an eternity. Then, all at once, blinding light filled his vision - came *from* his eyes and from within - and he fell backwards at an impossible angle, somehow still aloft though bent with the tips of his shoes barely scraping the floor.

Camael blinked her eyes open and watched as Abaddon mimicked her actions - doing something he probably hadn't done in a very very long time. It made something stir in her heart. She was witnessing miracle after miracle, and for an angel, that shouldn't have been something new. But this - this moment taking place before her very eyes - this was something she was sure to be one for the books. She hadn't expected for light to literally burst forth from the demon and her horrified gasp had been testament to that. Her hands moved without her will, wanting to grab onto Abaddon to make sure that he was okay. She hadn't even come close to touching him before she was blown away - her wings sprouted to protect her from a harmful landing and retracted as quickly as they appeared. Her thoughts weren't on her own safety, though. They were on Abaddon's, and her eyes wouldn't leave him. "Please," she pleaded, "don't hurt him."
